I like to look for the positive with any business that I visit regardless of what others may think. I feel that the staff here is really good at what they do but at times are overwhelmed with the patient loads that come in. I was here twice 7/26/2021 & 7/30/21. Both times I was called the previous business day and told to be here fifteen minutes prior to my appointment. On Monday 7/26/21 I waited for an hour to be seen. The appointment prior to mine was late. After that patient was released apparently they called my name, but someone else went in as the staff was looking directly at another patient when he had called my name. People are here to address medical issues and there may be delays based on each specific case. If someone is late, the accordion effect comes into play and delays the rest of the incoming appointments. I've observed that happen multiple times over all of my visits. I'm not sure if I can blame the business itself or the patients that cause additional delays. Regardless, my time is very important to me, which is why I dropped the rating. Dr. Milford himself is awesome and has great bedside manner. He is very thorough and can break down medical explanations into layman terms and communicate effectively. He truly shows compassion and empathy in helping his patients get the care they truly need. I hope that going forward, that my time is actually appreciated and I am able to get in and out of my appointment without additional delays. read more

Had an appt this morning at 10am at their new location on Wellness Way. Upon check-in I was told not found and probably the files were not transfer from their old office; however, a new appt can be at another facility. I replied that my appt was scheduled back in Feb and it should have been 30 thirty days; however, the earliest appt would be at this relocated location on April 25th. They provided me a brochure of their new location and reminded me that all future appointments will be at their new location. Well, something happen because the front desk said maybe they're expecting you at the old office. Huh? Two offices are in operation??? Note: I never got a text or email that anything change like with my other doctors. That's okay. I'll take my business elsewhere. Thank you and good luck with the transition. read more

I have been seeing Dr Milford for year's and although he is swamped with patients, He always takes the time to listen. What was so remarkable for me was when he said, "I'm always here for you," as I told him of the significant pain I had in my right arm. Now when the pain is almost unbearable I can remember his very caring words. It considerably helps with the pain just knowing I am not alone. God bless this man. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! DR. MILFORD WILL ORDER UNNECESSARY TESTS JUST TO GET MORE MONEY FROM YOU AND YOUR INSURANCE! My wife was seen by Dr. Milford almost two years ago. First, he forced her to take medication that wasn't for epilepsy and, when she said she didn't want to take it, his office threatened to "report" her for "non-compliance." Then, Dr. Milford ordered and had my wife pay for a 4-day EEG. Whoever put on the EEG cap didn't do it right and the wires kept falling off. Before the results were even complete, he started getting pre-authorizations from insurance for a more expensive, more invasive test. Insurance caught this and called my wife, and when my wife called Dr. Milford's office, his staff said it was "normal." When the results from her 4-day EEG came back, the report was inconclusive because of the issues with the wires caused by Dr. Milford's staff. Then came the $400+ bill for the EEG (on top of the large co-pay for each day of the EEG my wife already paid). My wife challenged it to the insurance company because of all of the issues with the EEG and the inconclusive test results, forced medication, and pre-ordered unnecessary tests. Dr. Milford's office originally agreed to write-off the balance owed when the insurance company called, presumably not wanting to answer for the unethical practices, and my wife agreed to drop her complaint in return. Now, almost two years later, my wife started receiving letters from Dr. Milford's billing department threatening to send her to collections for the outstanding bill. When we tried to call his office to resolve it, the billing manager denied they ever wrote off the balance and was incredibly brash and rude over the issue. To avoid being set to collections over a bill for an inconclusive test (caused by his staff's incompetence), my wife just put a check in the mail this morning to pay the balance in full. Silver State Neurology - Great Staff - Neurologist Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

Lemme preface this by saying I've only been to see this "doctor" once. I was told I had to see a neurologist in order for another procedure to be approved by insurance at another facility. The waiting room, which I was in for over an hour, had religious stuff all over and pro police stuff. There was a framed photo of the pope. I'm not one to bash on anyone's religious beliefs but it made me feel really uncomfy. I finally got put in a room, and the doctor eventually came in. He checked my eyes, ears, and put a stethescope on my chest for a split second as well as my knees (which were crossed) for the reflex thing. I'm not a doctor but I know you don't just use those on someone for a literal second, and a persons keys shouldn't be crossed. He then said "I'm gonna to come up with a plan to get you feeling better!" Aaaannndd left. That was it. I was told to go to the checkout desk, which had more religious stuff around. They told me he was prescribing me 2 Medications-1 for treating migraines and 1 for preventing them. I am very sensitive to medications and cannot just take anything, so this was very discomforting. One of them I found out after being given it, is an antidepressant. I have major depression and don't take anything for it, because I respond so horrifically to most of the medications to treat it. So I will not be touching this. They also said i'd need multiple tests, which they scheduled 1 and 2 weeks later...but I couldn't see the doctor to follow up for almost 3 months. THREE. MONTHS. All of this is unacceptable and I'm usually good with reading reviews but I didn't this time. I wish I had. Do not go here, it won't help you. It's basically a medical drive thru where they load you up with tests and pills and don't talk to you. I don't understand how this place exists read more

He is our 2nd opinion for my brother and rather than going by what the other dr. says, he wants to do his own testing and "start from the beginning" and I really appreciate that. Finally took my wife to UCLA to see a doctor who took 5 minutes to tell us exactly what was wrong. Still getting billed TWO YEARS after services. In my life I have come across doctors who really want to help their patients. So having that as point of reference, I am able to unequivocally say that this is not one of those doctors. I was referred here to get some testing done on my hands and arms. Symptoms: Tingling, numbness and dropping items out of my hands. (This test I have done in the past at another's doctors office). would say 3-4 minutes tops, and he was in and out of the room. The physical testing he did on me was a joke. He could have cared less about examining me or coming up with a game plan to help me. His nurse working in the back could have cared less also. I don't think she even make eye contact once. Totally felt like a scheme. Have the patient come in. Charge the co-pay and then bill the insurance Ask some questions, then have the patient come back on another date. Nope. Just don't. Let me start with the doctor. He came in the first time, asked me basic questions on what brings me in, said he need a couple tests he "thinks he knows what's going on," and just turns around, walking out the door. Don't see him again that day. Turns out he wants me in physical therapy and to get an MRI. No explanation was given to me on why. AND on medication. Which I had to switch the next week because I didn't want to handle the side effects. Turns out it takes 3 weeks for our bodies to, I guess, to accept it (not sure how to word that correctly). But I'm back on the original medication and I haven't been able to talk with anyone yet about switching back a week after my 2nd appointment. Next time I go in I get a emg/ncv test. Nurse (super nice, we talked the whole time), said the test won't hurt, just cause my arm to spasm. It hurt like f-in hell! It actually caused more pain in my arm then there was before, (I could barely move my wrist and use my hand for 3 days!) The doctor came in poked me a few times around my upper body and left. No hi or bye. Nothing. Now my pain is constant and hurting in other places it wasn't before. Been calling them for 3 weeks now, leaving messages for whoever I can. All of the recordings says they'll get back to me within 72 hours. Not a single call back. I've literally called once a week (multiple times to leave messages with each department) billing to see why my claim and deductible didn't get sent yet, medical records and medical assistance to get my test results. I was told to fill out a form so they could send me my test results, sent it back the same day during office hours, got nothing. That was over a week ago. I call today just pissed that yet another weekend passed and I haven't heard from Anyone, I'm pissed. I had to call back because the first receptionist hung up on me the 2nd time I called after leaving yet another message. Second receptionist was rude, interrupting me when I was telling her just how many times I called and left messages. She didn't believe how many times I called these past weeks. I got around to asking her if she could please, physically leave a message for SOMEONE to get back to me and I was told someone will email after 4:30 tonight my test results and put me though to billing... That women was there and got none of my messages. (And yes I left them properly, pound key after message and everything, when prompted. Still didn't go through). Anyway, I and my physical therapist's (who I fully don't believe I need) still don't know why I was sent to them and I'm now looking for an office who gives a shit about me. read more

Do not take your family to this facility. Dr. Milford is the main doctor there but It's as if these guys have no idea what they are doing or simply soaking up the insurance money. I found this place to take my lady because of her constant headaches and it's been a full year and they have found nothing but trying to continue going on and on with endless tests. They send her multiple prescriptions they never discussed with her about just out of no where she would get multiple calls a month from the pharmacist informing her of a prescription in for her from them and she was never called or informed of any prescription. Not to mention each prescription they attempted to provide her with were all life threatening and/or addicting. The final straw was our latest visit where during a previous visit we were told by Dr. Milford she had some seizure activity on one side of her brain and more tests done and during this visit another told her there was no seizure activity. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name because I was so pissed. So I confronted Dr. Milford on the discrepancy in both of their results and during the talk you can tell the other doctor didn't want to have the discussion as if they've been caught not doing any actual work. During a breakdown of the talk the other Doctor was shifting his eyes deliberately as some way of signaling to Dr. Milford to just go with it as if I'm too blind to see what was going on. So Dr. Milford simply said well when I conducted the test there appeared to be seizure activity and now we done another test and this shows the other test was inaccurate as there isn't an seizure activity now she is in the clear like wtf, you just told us that bs then just to string her along to provide some type of result to keep her on your leash for longer. Liars. This facility is full of bs and I would never take anyone here ever again or advise anyone to go here. If you care, do not go there. A full year and absolutely nothing she is fine and passed all tests they even had her do an overnight test and sent kits for her to wear for days for observation and again absolutely nothing was found. read more

SO disappointed in Dr Milford. My 28yo darling daughter has epilepsy and complex migraines among other conditions. Due to Dr Harb mishandling her medications and in turn her health, she is in a wheelchair. We had been seeing Dr Milford since about May of 2018. After reviewing her multiple prescriptions, It was shocking to me the first thing he wanted to do was change her dosage of Lamotragine without doing ANY type of blood work at all! She takes 1100 mg a day and this guy is all willy-nilly "well just cut that down to 800" WITH NO LAB WORK ummm NO we can't do that. (We did consult with the pharmacist who agreed that is not a good idea. Another neurologist within a week confirmed again that is dangerous after bloodwork shows her levels were very low) That was just the beginning... We kept our hopes up that he could help work through the health challenges she is having and get to a root diagnosis so we continued to see him. One time on Montessouri we saw JOSHUA who was SO ABRASIVE and RUDE he had my dd trembling, crying and stuttering. He had the nerve to yell at her "Are you sure you have epilepsy?! Who gave you that diagnosis?" (Btw it was at NY Presbyterian Hospital in 2012) He was so busy telling us our insurance won't pay for this & that & why did you have so many tests done? Well it's not because WE ordered them... STAY IN YOUR LANE NEVER AGAIN WILL WE SEE THAT GUY!! Then dr opens an office on Azure in the NW. GREAT! Closer to home. So we start seeing him here. He has done EEGs, MRIs, nerve-conduction studies, everything. She's still having complications and some breakthrough seizures so he throws another medication in the mix. Ok. So now we have to go in every month for the refill. Ok. I get it you want to see how it's working, all that... She's already had laser surgery on her brain (at NY Presbyterian) and takes so much medication. He can't figure out what's wrong with her and refers us to UCLA (he can refer us but if the insurance won't pay for it we can't go!) He asks if they called us. No. We didn't call them either because after speaking with our caseworker we had other very real, right now priorities other than pie-in-the-sky UCLA. He wants to surgically insert a device, VNS. Well, those are for someone having multiple daily seizures, that's not us. We ask for a note for more PCA hours "Sure, I'll dictate a letter you can pick it up in 2 days" He didn't even do his whole follow my finger squeeze my finger exam before he starts running out the door. Wait! She wants to ask you some questions about her DL, about possibly peeling away some of these medications, about losing some of this weight that has come since she's so dizzy she can hardly stand sometimes nm WALK . "Ask the gastroenterologist " oh. Ok. Then the front desk wants to book us in 3 months to come back in..? Well he's got us on the babysitting plan where we get to come in every month for refills I remind her. "Oh! Let me check!" So yes, come back in October. Then within TWO days we get a chicken shit letter in the mail "discharging" us from his PRACTICE. On top of that, the pharmacy sends me a msg the dr refused to authorize her onfi!! WTAF? so I call to ask someone why he fired us and why he won't authorize her medications. Crickets. Then finally a phone call! The same Office Manager, Michelle, whom I called five days prior is calling to talk to me about UCLA and how our PCP needs to refer us and bla bla bla. I said "Are you aware the dr has discharged us from the office? I called you on Friday to ask WHY now it's Wednesday and you are calling me about something apparently irrelevant. Don't you check your VM?" I guess not. And I guess chicken shit letters are not something they put in an electronic file either because we got another phone call from another side of the building if we need prescription refills. Well, YES since you denied them at the pharmacy's request. So disappointed. So frustrating. How do people without an advocate even handle all of this BS?!! If your loved one is not well from epilepsy or another neurological condition, be patient with them and watch out for them. Their brain does not work like ours does. This would have overwhelmed her right into the hospital. IMHO Dr Milford is on the spectrum. Not a bad thing just know what to expect. It took over 8 visits for the guy to even make eye contact. Over 10 for a viable "conversation". He does not handle confrontation nor does he like being questioned about his methods. I want to know and I WILL ask questions. These medications they have her on are dangerous and need to be handled with care. I WILL be that advocate fighting tooth-and-nail for my darling daughter as long as the Good Lord allows me to. I saw Dr. Milford for almost 6 months. Underwent every test imaginable from simple blood word to lumbar puncture to brain MRIs with and without contrast. I even underwent physical therapy again at his request, even though I knew it wouldn't help. It actually made my spine pain worse.  Initially, I was very impressed with Dr. Milford's professional demeanor. He assured me that they were going to take care of me. He got to the point where he nearly was ready to offer a diagnosis and decided that he couldn't help me any further, referring me to UCLA, which of course my HMO plan would not cover and I have not the slightest ability to pay cash. So after seeing me the last time and telling me that he was leaning towards my having a potentially fatal disease if left untreated, he didn't bother to tell me to my face but instead sent a cowardly letter stating he was terminating the physician/patient relationship.  To me, that spells total incompetence. If your unable to make a d we definitive diagnosis with the tests you have, perform another until your theory is confirmed and provide appropriate treatment instead of just abandoning your patient. I was compliant with his every single request. Never late to an appointment. The only reason I give two stars is because he had found a medicine that helped me sleep better than in years and also a med that stops the spinal/tension headaches. Thankfully my pain doc isn't a chicken like Milford and took over writing me for those meds. In the meantime, I'm still trying to get a referral to a neurologist with great reviews to go over my fast results. Doctors in this valley are by and large totally pathetic. Afraid to do their jobs. I didn't think I was going to write an update...here we go: So my husband tells me that he was charged $44 from Dr. Milford, which didn't make sense. We paid the remaining balance on 4/4/19. Unhappy that we had to since I mentioned in my previous review of my experience with them. Anywho...I was outraged. How do you not see in the notes that the balance had been paid off??? Who is the person who charged the $44? That's what I'm so curious to know. Was it Irma? I called the billing dept and spoke with Robin and she saw in the notes that it had been paid off and that I had a credit of $44. Wait, so they knew they made the stupid mistake and instead of reversing it and giving us the refund of $44, they gave me a credit. No. It doesn't work that way. I mean we paid it off. We don't owe ANYTHING to you. So Robin, who was nice, told me she would email them of sending us a check and I had asked Emily on 4/4/19 for a receipt when it was paid in full, but never received one. I will be waiting for both items. I really didn't want to be in contact with this office. No joke. I'm just over this. Come one Silver State Neurology...you need to all have a meeting to improve communication skills within the office. Smh read more

The office is uncomfortable and the wait times are long. When I finally got to see the Dr., he walked out of the exam room after doing a few tests such as pull this, push this, walk in a straight line, etc., without giving me any information (seriously, I thought he just stepped out for a moment. I didn't know he was gone for good until the MA came in to take me to another waiting room. When I asked if I could ask him some questions all I got was, "Sorry he's with another patient now.") The front desk girl had to TRY and explain the mystery medication he prescribed, the eight different tests they would need me to come in for (all of which had to be done on different days,) and the physical therapy that I would need to do THREE times a week (FOR WHAT?!?! I literally can not see ONE reason I need physical therapy.) I was speechless when I left the office, and I will not be returning. read more

I've been going to neurologists for 15 years now and this is absolutely the worst neurologist I've ever been to in my life. You feel like herded cattle with absolutely no relationship with the doctor what so ever (I'm not even sure who my physician is). They always drug test you regardless of what medication you need, narcotic or non-narcotic. I personally feel unnecessary drug testing is embarrassing and a huge invasion of privacy. They then expect you to discuss your personal medical information after they have just accused you of being a drug addict. The prescriptions are not written by a doctor. All prescriptions are written by the receptionist who can not even do basic math. I always get to my pharmacist and the prescriptions are for incorrect amounts and dosage. Refills are a constant problem as they are always denied for some unknown reason. You then have to book another $250 appointment just to sit in their waiting room. You get the distinct feeling that you are just there so they can charge more to your medical insurance. If you phone silver state neurology with an issue always send you to answer phone and then never get back to you. Patients are relying on getting important medication and a recorded voice mail with a false promise that you might get your drugs on time is just not satisfactory. If you phone back again to try to speak with someone they will just not pick up the phone like you are in a childish phone game with a 13 year old girl. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This was one of the cheaper neurologists and i wish i had just paid the extra money when i first signed up. I feel like I am bent over a barrel and unable to leave. read more

Catholic imagery everywhere. The Pope framed in the lobby. Doctor Milford is anything but a good Catholic. A true coward. First visit went well. Didn't know what was wrong with neck for over eight months. He does a test, voila, a pinched nerve. Physical therapy+anti-inflammatories+muscle relaxers...even though other doctors gave me the same thing with no results. What the heck, might as well trust him since he found a pinched nerve! A month of physical therapy and no visible signs of improvement. The anti-inflammatories don't do anything and give me depression as a side effect. I've been on them on and off nine months to no avail so I stop taking them. Follow up with the doctor for 2nd appointment...well, that got pushed back... and then it got pushed back again. They kept callin me to reschedule. What the heck? Finally go in. LONG wait time. Doctor Milford comes in, sets up his portable desk, sits down, and doesn't even look me in the eye. He asks why I stopped taking the anti-inflammatories and I tell him that I thought it was only for the pain. He says, yes, that's true. He tells me to take everything he prescribes and follow up again and almost runs out of the room... disappointing, I thought. I go to schedule my appointment and it's another two months before I can get in. You've got to be kidding. I'm still in terrible pain. Two days later I get a letter with him terminating me as a patient. No reason stated. The only thing I think of could be not taking the anti-inflammatories... but if that's just for the pain then what the heck? I call and call to find out why this happened. No replies. It took over three months just to get in to see this guy and he throws me away over nothing? For no reason? Is my insurance not good enough? Somehow his staff majestically return my call when it involves transferring records to a new neurologist. Thanks for making me wait another three months to get treatment. I have been seeing Dr. Milford for over 3 years now. I want to thank him and say how great he has been and the many things he has done for me. He sees so many patients that he forgets who is who so that is why he reads off my record notes. I have (like many) have been using him as my PCP since most PCP's wouldn't even have a clue of my very rare disorder of central pain disorder. I am on a lot of Neurontin for it too. I give Dr. Milford 4 stars. This last visit made me realize how incompetent his staff is as most medical offices are like this around the valley. I have been without meds for 2 weeks now. He assured me that my meds would get refilled by the end of the day. Guess what? No meds at my pharmacy. I saw him yesterday and explained to him what was going on and as always he has been giving me excuses for his staff's mistakes. Filling medications should be number one. The reason we are all on meds is that Dr.'s have put us on them. So as usual, I have called, left messages, had my pharmacy fax over requests many times and still nothing. If he would spend a little more money on staff that does their jobs or RN's to do the staffs jobs, his office would run a lot smoother. MA's are overpaid and need more schooling. I come from a long background of medical experience so if anyone knows what is going on it would be this guy (me). I give his staff 2 stars. read more

My dad ended up going to another Dr that told him Dr Milford gave him wrong information about his health. All the health issues he said my dad had was not true. First time I went the staff and doctor all were awesome. And they saw me with only a 20 minute wait. I was like finally a doctor that respects their patient's time! I mean seriously what is it with doctor's offices? What makes them think that their time is more important then their patient's time? Well let's just say that from that point on. . .it got worse and worse. It seems like everytime I went back, they delayed me even further and further. This is even after I explained to them over the phone that I am coming to the appoinment before work so I need to be seen at my appointed time. They always reply with. . .of course. No problem. Yeah right. The last time I saw them, I was fed up! I waited 30 minutes. . .20 minutes past my apooinment time. I went to the window and asked what the hold up was and how much longer will I have to wait? They asked me to come to the other side away from the other patients. . .and they explained to me that there was an emergnecy and the doctor had been called to the hospital. Ok. . .that's fine. . .BUT why could they just let us know so that we can reschedule instead of wasting my time? After this, I finally went back to the waiting area. . .and wouldn't u know? They called me back to the rooms after only 5 minutes. . .so it took the doctor 5 minutes to come back to the office from the hospital??? Then I finally see the doctor, now 50 minutes after my appointed time to only have the doctor treat me like I am a drug addict. I explained to him all the medications I was on. . .and he bascially just looked at me and said. . .do you really think that you need these or are just taking them? Really??? There might be some ppl that would. . .but not me. . .and just because they have had experiences with other patients that have done that DOES NOT mean that you can treat everyone the same. Totally offended me. I would NOT reccomend this place. Don't let how they treat you your first time fool you. . .it's all down hill from there. They DO NOT care about the patients. All they care about is getting your money and treating you like your a drug addict. Are you ready for a game of "Who's On First?" I've had a ton of things go wrong & weird symptoms & just a plethora of poo. Dr. Milford has kind of become my defacto primary care doc because he's the only one that pays attention and follows up. Primary care kind of just dismisses something suspicious as nothing. (In fact, Dr. Milford did recommended follow up after abnormal pre-op X-Ray when primary care refused and "guaranteed" it was just "CYA from radiology") Today I went in for a follow up visit and only had to wait an hour beyond my appointment time then another roughly 30 minutes to check out while developing a headache. It's not a migraine yet but moving in that direction. The doc started with the normal reading of the notes and repeating back the symptoms. I've had some improvement with one issue and not so much with others. He got to the part about wanting to refer me out for another opinion. He suggested UCLA. I said "I've already been there" his response "When?" My response "When you sent me there last year". This is the third appointment where he didn't have the results of something from August 2016. Okey-dokey. He moved to the chest CT follow-up for which I was grateful. That's when I learned maybe why I have this throat pain. He said I needed to see ENT. I said I already have and I had an endoscopy and I had another imaging of some sort done that I don't remember and everyone says there's nothing there. Doc says enlarged lymph node. Yeah.. and? The thing about Dr. Milford is he is thorough so that's good. The problem is doctors don't talk to each other, medical offices don't share all the records and people drop the ball ALL the time. Even if you end up with a doctor that gives a you-know-what, he ends up impaired by everything else that gets botched. Then the doctor asks if I've seen the headache specialist. I already covered that with his staff at intake but maybe he has to ask again or maybe they didn't tell him. I told him no. I waited for him to ask why but he didn't so I offered it up. I got the prior authorization through insurance, I contacted the headache doctor, they didn't have records, I called Silver State and they said they would send the records. The only sent partial records. I called the headache specialist to see what was up and they said they didn't have complete records. I called back Silver State and they said they would send again. I called back headache specialist and they hadn't received and didn't bother to call or fax Silver State to ask for exactly what they needed. Oh yeah.. in the mean time I had a MAJOR surgery and have complications so all that was drawn out over enough time for someone to figure it out but nooooo. It's now months later and I have verified insurance has authorized the referral. I called the headache doctor and guess what? He's no longer accepting new patients...BUT I might be able to see another doctor but headache doctor #1 still wants my complete records so I send them a signed release form to request them. Two weeks pass and I'm in Dr. Milford's office today and they tell me there's no request on file and ask me to sign a release form so they can send records to headache doctor #1. I signed that today. They said in the same breath they hadn't sent records. See the inconsistency here? I called and verified they had been sent and was told they were. In person they said they hadn't sent them. Maybe they are hiding with the UCLA test results? In the mean time my insurance has changed and not only have my premiums gone up but so has the co-insurance and I have sucked up all my savings on medical bills and paying the rent because I can't work due to another injury and all the headaches make it even worse. Sooo... here I am about a year and a half after experiencing something like a small stroke and so far no one has figured it out. I think I have! Hey, I'm the one living in this body. I may no nothing about medicine but I know how to troubleshoot. It's process of elimination. So here we are. No diagnosis. No treatment plan. No money. All drugs caused worse side effects than symptom relief. Removing myself from some drugs actually improved some of the symptoms but I had to be overdosed by an Endocrinologist to figure that one out. I could have seen a headache specialist last year but since the paperwork wasn't complete despite my best efforts, I may or may not be able to see one this year depending on cost. Before I just gave up on this mess I would spend at least 4 hours a day on the phone babysitting medical staff. If you aren't sick when you start down this path, you will be about halfway down that winding road! read more

I found Dr Milford to be incredibly compassionate not only towards my husband with dementia, but to me as well. He gave me a lot of insight, and always reminded me to take a little time for myself. Being a caregiver is monumental. Josh and Shannon are wonderful to work with. So kind and knowledgeable. Josh would often talk to my Steve about sports which made him feel at ease. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses are the kindest caring people I've seen in a Drs practice. read more

Dr. Christopher Milford left his practice at Silver State Neurology and is withholding patients records at his new practice at 701 Shadow Lane Suite 170. I arrived at my appointment today to "establish care" at his new office despite the fact that I was already a patient of his at the Silver State Neurology office and had had multiple brain scans and other tests run at that office. I've tried for almost 2 months with the help of my primary care physician to obtain my records from Dr. Milford but no one would answer calls or return faxed requests to release my medical records to myself or my primary care physician. I went in today to obtain the records after being told I would not be able to received them without having an appointment to establish care with Dr. Milford. I was then told at my appointment today to "establish care" that they did not have my records and could not obtain them. To my surprise I was not alone- I was one of four other patients of Dr Milford's who was also trying to obtain their medical records or prescription information and all we're being told the same thing- that they needed appointments and that they could not give out the records. I informed the office manager that she was in violation of HIPA for withholding my records from me on tests that Dr. Milford requested and had my insurance pay him for without ever releasing the results of those tests. Within 10 minutes I was waking out of the office with all of my medical records in hand - yes, the ones they had previously said they did not have and could not obtain. Unfortunately, I was the only one to be so lucky to finally obtain their records. The other patients I witnessed struggling to get their records were all turned away leaving the office defeated and heartbroken. One man told the office manager that his job is in jeopardy due to the negligence of this office I'm not releasing patients' records to other doctors or the patients. Dr. Milford is a fraud who needs to be investigated. I'm confident I'm not the only patient he has ordered numerous tests for and has probably ordered repeats of the tests due to the records of those tests being unaccounted for as they claimed to me. This man is a fraud and needs to be stopped before more patients have to endure mistreatment of this doctor and his staff. read more

Steer away from this place! Not only the worst neurologist we have dealt with, the worst doctor period! Dr. Milford reported to DMV that my wife had a seizure without any factual information or testing that would result in a diagnosis confirming that it was indeed a seizure. He was her doctor for a year and after numerous costly tests still no diagnosis of seizures but was unwilling to sign the DMV paperwork as such. He also wanted to redo tests that were already performed at the hospital...my guess would be more cash for his bottom line. After the last visit, she received a letter in the mail stating that he was dropping her as a patient because it was "impossible to meet her health needs." Pros- Front desk girls are nice and have a good attitude Cons- Dr. Milford - Consistent hour wait after appointment time and easy two plus hours every visit. -Nurses are rude and short with patients read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had with the neurologist at first I would have rated them at least 4 stars but then they just got strange they started setting me up for nerve conduction studies and they sent me to another doctor that doctor said that there was nothing wrong with me and sent me to another neurologist that neurologist did a complete and nerve conduction study on me and said there was something seriously seriously wrong with me to where I needed carpal tunnel cut in my hand my wrist and all the way up to my elbow when that second doctor sent me sent the results back to dr. Milford Dr Milford Ben said he could no longer treat me and sent me I now go to Leo German who I would recommend to anybody so take that for what it is worth read more

I found Dr. Milford because my Neurologist was in the midst of changing his place of practice. I was very nervous but called & surprisingly I got an apt for 2 days later, It must have been a cancellation, as a new patient it usually takes forever to see the Dr. I was taken right on time, thought the staff was amazing. Dr Milford came into the room & he asked a ton of questions, ordered tests, I was surprised that 3 were done right there in the office.. He sent me for blood work, Mri & xrays. What amazed me is I saw him in the hallway later & he actually asked me how I was doing, thought that was nice. The only thing that isn't good is it takes forever to get an actual appt to follow up.. I had to wait almost 2 months so I called a few times for a cancelation & got one with Jason the APN which was absolutely fine by me. Jason was very knowledgeable, deserves a lot of credit as well !!! One other thing, they sort of tricked me into getting arm ultrasounds, they even had me sign a paper saying ins MAY not pay, $250 bux... I signed I have great ins so I wasn't worried. Low & behold I HAD to pay ins didn't cover crazy Unneeded test... I think they knew ins wouldn't pay that's why they had me sign paper... Ive had a ton of tests in my life never signed last second like that??????? Very Suspicious .... After reviewing all my test results I was referred to a Spine surgeon & a hand surgeon . Overall I think Dr Milford has a great practice, great staff... Just the wait on getting appointments is tough, that is what happens though when Drs become popular !!! Thank you !!!!! read more

I came here for treatment of a rare neurological disease that I have ALREADY been diagnosed with and been undergoing treatment for. After waiting about 45 minutes, the doctor comes in and spends about 3 minutes with me. This could NEVER be enough for him to understand the disease I have. I just had open heart surgery 5 months prior and was going in again in 13 days and when I mentioned it... Nothing. My main goal was to get more energy. I had finally been approved for a treatment called IVIG and that had helped a little, but I wanted more help with the fatigue and weakness caused by my disease. When I went to check out, 10 tests were ordered. None of which were explained to me. Why did I need ultrasounds of my arms and legs? I'm 35 and underweight... They are looking for a blood clot, maybe? Why are they not explaining tests? Ok, so I go to schedule them. They tell me EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS TO BE SCHEDULED ON A SEPARATE DAY! Why? Because my insurance does not cover it together. Not true. I've had many of these tests done before and all on the same day. I called my insurance, just to make sure, they prefer to do multiple test same day. Costs them less money. So I start doing my tests. One by one. Each day I wait 2-3 hours. On some days there is not a chair to sit in. This is a place for neurological patients and the wait is ridiculous and people have to stand! Their medical assistant talks to you like you are below her. I was extremely nice and humble. Asking for my medical approvals for my IVIG and another medication on each visit. She would make me wait sometimes 45 minutes to even see her to ask the question and then act like I was an idiot that did not understand anything and talk to me very slow. She wears a permanent scowl. I thought it was personal, until my home nursing pharmacist called and said he treated her the same way. That he was very concerned because they cut my IVIG dose in half. WHAT! The only thing that has helped me! That took 2 years for approval and they sent in an order to cut it in half, and without an explanation! They have probably seen 5 people with my disease, ever. The world protocol for it is what I am on. They are messing with my life. So to sum it up, tons of unnecessary tests, no explanations, rude staff and they arbitrarily mess with your medication. I wish I could give this a zero. read more

Horrible medical office. You are better off throwing your co pay out the car window. Dr Milford sees you then nobody follows thru on anything after being in pain 4 days you call to find out when they where planning on calling with your appointments. Your in pain to where you can't even walk. And your told " oh sorry we can help we are closed Fri Sat and Sun.' Could give a shit your unable to stand, walk, lay down and sit. And you had to call them after 4 days. You are better off throwing your money out the car window what a waste of money and time going there. Office Manager Liz said no refund and will give the doctor my number to call. Can't make him call but will give him my number. On March 8th, 2016, I received testing services at Silver State Neurology for a pinched nerve, arthritis of the spine, and narrowing of the spinal canal. I was already in severe pain from all these issues and the pain had escalated even more in the following weeks. The lack of care from Silver State Neurology's staff with the after-care process was absolutely unacceptable. To make a long story short, they will send you to out of network specialists and you will have to do your own work to find your own specialists that are in network. They take several weeks to send out referrals to specialists, and make excuses as to why, even when they are aware the severity of the pain you are in. Staff deliberately lie to their patients, dismiss patient concerns and calls as if you are not important to them, don't return phone calls, etc. I find this kind of business practice, staff lying to patients, dragging feet with patient concerns/ questions/ referrals, and certain staff members not doing their job properly at a neurologist's office to be HIGHLY unacceptable, especially when dealing with emergency situations that involve severe, debilitating, and excruciating pain. I highly urge anyone that is referred to Silverstate Neurology to steer clear. read more

I went in to set an appointment for a nerve test and they would not give me an appointment on time while standing there. They did not call me . After 4 days I pulled my referral papers from this office and had my Dr. send me to another neurologist. In Vegas you have to be your own advocate. You can take charge and I highly recommend it. From the reception desk to the previous warnings of others I have moved on. This is just bad business. I was previously warned that they would give me a hard time and bingo, exactly what happened. read more

This place is horrible. This was my first time here and my last. I understand as a new patient paperwork needs to be done. I arrived 30 minutes early to do that paperwork. 4:15 was my appointment time I wasn't taken back to a room until 5:15. (I forgot to mention there's only me and 1 other patient here.)While in the room more questions were asked and in the middle of those questions another nurse walked in the room and stated that the lady in the next room her air in her air tank ran out to which my nurse responded "that's her fault for bringing only half a tank ". And they laughed. I didn't see the doctor for another 30 min and when I did it was a very,very,very quick 3-4 minute exam. That's it. I couldn't believe how disorganized this place was!! I mean seriously! The employees were very rude and presented themselves as unprofessional. The staff also doesn't know how to take vitals and talked about patients while in the room. I would definitely not recommend this to a friend. read more
