I unknowingly had a tumor growing in my neck. Dr Garber looked at my imaging and said looks like cancer and something is "eating your bones." His words. For 2 months, I had a hard time getting a biopsy and I was back and forth with dead in referral loop to a cancer center. The cancer center reached out to me about brain cancer, not neck cancer. Garber office mistakenly sent the wrong info. Ok fine, we are all human we make mistakes. But his office eventually ghosted me. I ended up reaching out to Cedar Sinai hospital in Cali via their Second Opinion Program. A surgeon (Dr. Tiffany G Perry) called me from her personal cell phone freaking out and said I am in danger and need emergency surgery ASAP. I reached out to Garber office via text message and told them what I was told. Silence. Thankfully, I was able to get in 3 days later from Vegas. I'm so upset about how close to danger I was but was ghosted. Also- I waited hours to see him in the waiting room only to see him for 5 minutes during both appointments we had. My primary physician referred me to LVNI and to see Dr. Garber. I had an appointment today with Dr. Garber after waiting approximately a month to get in to see him. Today, I arrived at the office and was told that he was called out of the office and we would have to reschedule. Dr Garber IS TheBomb.com! (PT 1) Dr Garber did a laminectomy which literally gave me a new lease on life. I have always been active and done my best to take care of myself, I've been on a meat free diet for over 35 years, so I wasn't prepared to have any physical problems. I'm stubborn - I did everything possible from praying to physical exercise, including yoga, swimming, lifting weights, etc. but nothing helped ! I eventually got to the point point where I couldn't even stand up straight anymore! Getting out of the bed was a unique experience I hope to never repeat. Every day before I could get out of bed, it took almost an hour of heating pads, stretching, and warm up exercises to be able to stand and walk straight. Even then, I had to be guarded and carefully watch what I was doing, and how I moved. Dr G and his team are excellent- the front and back office are, on it. If I ever had a question concern, doubt or whatever ... all I had to do is ask. I can't recommend them enough. my mother got the spinal stimulator put between her T-8 to T-10. and the bolts started to loosen and the leads moved. she started to loose her strength in her arms so she went back to dr garber. He said," You need more physical therapy and your neck fused. so she did. still as time went on she started to drop objects and couldn't even hold a spoon to eat. so she went back to garber. he told her more physical therapy and carpool tunnel surgery. so she did. My mother was ok, yes in pain but she could still move around walk on her own eat ect... but she slowly became paralysed by dr jason garber. all the way to where she could no longer fell her intake of oxygen. she was put on a breathing machine! I went to see dr garber to ask him for help because the spring valley hospital said no other surgeons will touch my mother that dr garber is the only surgeon that they would allow to do surgery on her. I tried to get her transfered but was rejected. I went to garbers office and he refused to talk to me. more then 5 times I went to his office and nope he refused to see me!!! My mother passed away on 4/25/2025. the hospital turned her machine off and made my mother suffocate to death. She was freaking out the whole time. She kept begging for me to call the rt cause she couldn't breath. Her head going back and forth she was panicking! I stoped her head and said I love you so much mom but I can't watch them do this to you it's not right. as I walked out of the room her eyes followed me. I looked for a nurse or any staff but no one was there. my sister and my aunt stayed with my mother for her last few moments. Everyday I'm haunted by what happened to my mother. It was sick and no one seems to care but me! everyone that played there part in leading to my mother's death will have there day when they answer to God! only they will my mother have the justice she deserves. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Garber on and off since 2006. I am a physical therapist and saw the great results his patients had and that's why I chose him . He did a C6-C7 fusion when I lost the use of my triceps in 2006. A C3-C4 disc replacement in 2022. I had a rotator cuff surgery in 2023 and couldn't get my strength back and had bad headaches and spasms . Had a C4-C5 and C5-C6 disc replacement. Dr. Garber's office staff has always been amazing. I had a neurosurgical procedure yesterday at Mountain View hospital where he was my attending surgeon. The entire process, start to finish, was stress free. I had a visit from 2 different people from his office, while I was in the pre-op area. They made sure to go once every single aspect of my surgery, to make sure I understood 100% what I was about to be going through. They delivered my back brace bedside to make sure it would be with me when I woke up after surgery. I also got a pre surgery visit from the neuromonitoring staff that works along side Dr. Garber, to explain in great detail what she would be doing to make sure that I was not injured during my procedure. They were on top of letting my family know what phase I was in, every step of my journey. From the moment they wheeled me away from them, to what phase of recovery I was in, to the moment they were allowed to come visit me in my private room. His office even sent a physician to me room today to personally check to make sure my incision was healing properly, and I was meeting all the criteria to be discharged. Every person that I encountered at the hospital reassured me that I absolutely chose the best surgeon in the field. I love Dr. Garber I have no issues with him. It's his staff. They don't answer the phones. And when the surgery scheduler is on vacation you have to wait for her to come back from her vacation to get a surgery date. This practice is unreal. They don't have anyone covering her while she gone. She comes back and won't even answer her phone. This is horrible practice in the medical field. We literally have to wait on Lisa to do all her personal business before taking care of patients who really need the help. I'm not sure if Garber is aware of this. I can call and press another number and the other front desk for the other doctors answers their calls. Truly sad. I needed to see a neurologist and was told that Dr Garber was not doing anything with the brain even though his credentials state "neurologist, brain." I was referred to another doctor in the same office LVNI but after speaking with him about the whit mass in my brain, he stated that he wasn't a neurologist. He was a neurosurgeon! I think some of the poor reviews have hit it on the nail with the statement about Dr. Garber's surgery on my husband, which also failed which caused him to have extreme pain and he struggled with walking, sitting and was unable to return to work as he continued to go down hill which made him debilitated so much so he went for a 2nd opinion which resulted in another surgery to fix my husbands back and which they had to re-fuse L3-S1 on both sides of his spine they had to leave half of the broken screw in his L-4 and he also had to have his Sacral Iliac Joints fused as well. If only Dr. Garber had taken the proper precautions and the time to perform the surgery by fusing both sides of his L4 to S1 as discussed could've prevented my husband's fusion from falling resulting in too much stress on the fusion on his right side resulting in a screw breaking in half and another screw coming loose resulting in a failed fusion. There was no excuse for this nonsense let alone the blatant negligence that was done to my husband. So as of this review I'd say my previous review is no longer a 5 star review but a 1 star as this could've been easily prevented!! read more

Dr. Jason Garber is a dream! He is so informative and excellent at what he does. He is also very conservative, and will not operate unless he feels it is absolutely necessary. I recommend him to anyone I know who has back or neck issues. He is fast, so be prepared with your questions before you go in. He's like a Tazmanian devil because he moves so quickly. I've been dealing with a a bulge in my cervical spine for ten years. I endured over 40 epidural steroid treatments into my spine with no long term relief. Dr Garber is very nice and assures that you understand your diagnosis and plan. However, his office staff is either lazy, overworked, or just don't care. Honestly they can be downright mean. I was threatened with cancellation of my appointment because I missed completing parts of documentation. I did not do this on purpose, as I explained. Fortunately, I met the deadline and got in. Doctor wanted another test with followup after. I had the test quickly. But calling to get a followup was a nightmare of messages and repeated calls. My followup went to about a month out. I am also seeing another doctor that the two conditions may need to be coordinated between the two surgeons. The other doctors staff are very nice and say they have called a minimum of 3x per day for not only me but another patient as well and cannot get return calls or anyone to pickup the phone. I have even called too and went so far to try to get through that I used the star key for hospitals and it rang until the call just dropped. Patients deserve better. Patient satisfaction involves more than a terrific doctor. It is in the care his/her supporting staff provide too. Please identify whatever the issue is and resolve it for them and the people being served. read more
