Pros: Aubrey is very pleasant and has wonderful customer service and the owner was very accommodating. The store is clean and well lit, displaying beautifully. Cons: I was quoted a price and once they heard I needed it by the following day, they held my bible til the day of pick up and called me in attempt to add on additional costs hoping I'd budge in a vulnerable situation, knowing they committed to the timeline of that day. I did not so they honored the price they originally quoted me. More importantly, when I picked up the engraved piece, the font was so tiny, I could barely see it. I was promised black engraving and it was returned as same color engraving. I'm not sure who does the day time engraving there but I wished it was someone more skilled in the trade. I was considering getting my aunts Christmas gift (engraved silverware) from there but after this experience, I will not. Many of the place settings I liked online, I didn't like as much in person. I actually found the set I bought while using them at a restaurant. I went with Silver Superstore because their prices could not be beat. Silver Superstore is fantastic in terms of prices and customer service. When my order arrived, I was unhappy with the teaspoons. I had read they were small, but these were stupid tiny. They were more suited as espresso or gelato spoons than actual teaspoons. In fact, I'm fairly certain they wouldn't hold an actual measured teaspoon. I reached out to SS to ask about other patterns and how they compared to the one I bought. I was ecstatic to hear that I could exchange the spoons I got for the larger teaspoons in the same pattern (even though I had purchased them as part of a place setting set). My review is based on the experience ordering through the website, but they're a regular retail business as well. I got married eleven years ago, when we weren't sure why our mothers were on our cases about registering for flatware. Now that we're older and have pulled off a few Thanksgiving dinners with the whole family, having the special dishes and flatware makes sense. I'm mature enough now that I give a shit whether they match. The sucky part is, the flatware pattern was discontinued by the time we cared enough to want service for twelve (we got six as wedding gifts). A few places have remaining sets of our pattern but Silver Superstore had the lowest prices and reasonable shipping rates. I was looking for a place that would engrave a cheap lighter I bought from amazon. Most jewelry stores in the mall don't do engraving, and if they do they were charging an arm and a leg. Granted, I wouldn't say the engraving I got was cheap by any means but because I wanted it done last minute (literally within a days notice) I understood I would need to pay extra for the rush fee. I can't remember if it was $10 to do the engraving, and then $15 for the rush fee but whatever it was it cost me $25 to get my boyfriends name engraved on a slim metal lighter. I was so grateful they were able to do it because I had called everywhere in the neighborhood and they wouldn't be able to do it in time or they were charging me $40+. The service here was quick and prompt and to the point. It might've helped that I was pretty easy going with no real vision in mind. The only downside is they don't have many fonts to choose from but the one I got was still elegant on my cheap lighter lol. Would come again and plan ahead so I won't have to pay for a rush fee that costs more than my product. read more

I ordered a sterling silver baby cup for a relative, engraved, which cost over $300. I included a gift message and gift wrap at additional cost. About ten days later, the box arrived at MY HOME not the intended recipient (I doubled-checked and the recipient address was correctly entered on the order). The gift wrap was very poor in quality (cheap paper no ribbon) and there was no gift message. I opened the wrap and inside was my full receipt with the cost. Even more concerning the cup was very small for a traditional baby cup and so lightweight I feel embarrassed sending it. If I could return this I would, but hope others will research more than I did to find a credible vendor for costly items like this. Buyer beware. read more

I figured that wasn't fair, so here I am two years later writing the review I should have written two years ago. I was lucky to find this store on Google and then going to the site. I ordered online and conducted most of the purchasing through emails but I do recall that a very friendly lady called me to finalize some details of the transaction. Needing 4 more place settings I went to Amazon to only find out that every place setting they showed was on backorder. We wanted to buy a few more knives for our Ginko silverware set. Unfortunately, the store where we bought it, didn't sell the knives separately. That's when I came upon Silver Superstore. I ordered two sets of 4 knives each. It took a while for them to get to my house and when I unpacked them, I noticed that 4 knives where slightly different. Our silverware and four of the new knives had 'Indonesia' printed on them, while the other 4 new ones had 'China' and they were slightly different in shape and feel. I emailed the company and Libby emailed me back right away, explaining that they use different warehouses and she would try to locate 4 'Indonesia' knives for me. She did so successfully and shipped them right away. It wasn't financially feasible for them to have the other 4 knives (the 'China' ones) shipped back to them, so she told me I could keep those as well. All of this was done in a very correct manner and quite fast as well. She kept me informed by email and I haven't seen customer service like this for an online business in a while. Initially I began my order at their online store, but because I needed a quick turnaround I opted to call customer service to have an actual person assure me the items I wanted to order could be engraved and shipped to me within a couple of days. Sandy profressionally handled my phone order of Lenox Devotion Flutes and 2pc Dessert Set. There was also engraving requirements. Sandy made a suggestion on the engraving that came out beautifully. Thank God that I ordered my stainless steel silverware directly from Silver Superstore instead of from Amazon. I actually saved over $145! The price of a 20 piece set (service for 4 of Reed & Barton 1800 stainless) was exactly the same as Amazon's price. But I needed double that amount (service for 8) and the price on Silver Superstore was $145 cheaper than Amazon's price. And there was no shipping charge. I had my 1st experience w/Silver Superstore through Amazon. I ordered a Christmas ornament and it didn't arrive when it said it had been delivered. Sandy, the owner, promptly responded to the Amazon CSR's email even before I finished talking with the Amazon CSR! I asked if she could call me back so I could finish some other business with Amazon & she did. Sandy gave me the option of her resending it or giving me a refund. Since Christmas was in 2 days I chose the refund and she cheerfully took care of it immediately. Her customer service and demeanor were superb! But the story doesn't end here. This place has a very deep catalog of silverware. They claim over 700 patterns in silver and stainless, but I didn't count. The store display showed about 80 place settings and about 300 forks from different patterns. Most of their stuff is online, apparently (silversuperstore.com, easy enough). It is damn cheap, and they had replacement pieces for a set I bought a few years ago. Nobody else had the pieces, but this company breaks apart the larger sets to offer the individual items. Very cool! They were really nice too, which I expected up in the Northwest. read more

The worst! Bought just a few pieces of Godinger silver plate to fill in a sterling Wallace set. It is probably that Godinger is simply no good, esp the plate, but in a very short time, few weeks, several pieces just turned a brownish black with odd staining. I cleaned with the best polish, etc. Finally sent this store pics of the bad pieces and they replaced, good. Then other pieces and some of the new went bad, very bad, and they will not polish up clean like any plate or sterling, horrible. Sent pics again of the recent changes and they refused to replace, said vendor or Godinger would not approve. These pieces were handled as carefully as my sterling, no acids, vinegar, lemon, etc., nothing, they just went horribly bad, a few pieces are still fine. So either don't buy Godinger, I never will again, or don't buy from this store, little integrity. In my opinion, awful silver, awful store. read more

The plate was not in stock on Amazon and local stores. So, I took a shot dealing direct online with Superstore. Price was as good as Amazon. My order was placed on backorder but the email said to email them back in case I want Superstore to follow-up. I only ordered a single plate but thought I'd give the email a shot. Surprisingly Superstore got back to me the next day...gave me all the details of the backorder..they verified delivery from the manufacturer and specially marked my order that it would be delivered by Dec 24....all for an order of a single plate.
