I found this coffee shop on Yelp and I am so glad I walked in. I am in town visiting and Katie, the owner, was so incredibly kind and welcoming. She told me so many things to do that aren't the typical tourist attractions. There were a few regulars who were also very kind and chimed in on recommendations for things to do while I'm in town. It was so nice to feel so welcomed! I could instantly feel that this shop really helps foster a sense of community for everyone that comes in. Also, the coffee is incredible. I got the lavender zest latte and it was so delightful!! I also had a pastry which was yummy but definitely would've been better warmed up. I really wanted to love this place. The actual shop was adorable. The beverage I had was good. But, I'm not sure if I didn't enjoy it because it wasn't great, or because I was so annoyed with the people in the cafe. There was a table behind me of adults who had fully developed frontal lobes, but apparently have never learned volume control. I get it, social cues are hard for some people, I'm neuro spicy too. But they were so loud, like even screaming at some points that it was hard to get any of my work done, the table next to me was having trouble talking to each other, and when I looked around I expected to see a huge crowd. Nope, just a few people. I'm not trying to be a Karen so I just put my headphones on and tried to work. But I just don't understand letting people take over your business like that, talking from across the cafe, which is more like yelling across the cafe. read more

The place is a cute place. We stopped by to grab some warm drinks and pastries. The pastries are from Marina bakery and it looks like they get random ones each day. We got the spinach one and an apple pull apart and it was good, definitely needs to warm it up. We also got a tea and a coffee. The lady is very nice. I love how she is very passionate and sociable. Stopped by on a whim, because we made reservations for a late brunch which was hours away. The barista made good recommendations and our orders were served quickly. I met a friend here for coffee on a Friday afternoon. Have driven by this place often and finally made a decision to stop in. Very cute shop. It is a coffee shop but then also a gift shop with things that are local. They have coffee mugs, food items, non alcoholic wine, home decor and even some shirts. It's a lot bigger in the inside than I thought! The space is great for groups. There are 2-3 booths in the far back along with a table with 3-4 chairs. There are two bar tops inside with stools and then two tables outside under the tent. Wifi here is free as well. Barista was friendly and gave use some recs. I went the Sequim Special and my friend got a latte with toasted marshmallow and caramel syrup. She said it was very tasty. I got a 12 oz and she got a 16 oz and our total was about 12 dollars (with tip). Drink range between 3-6 dollars, more depending on the sIze. Cups range in size from 8-20 ounces I believe. They have coffee (simple and fancy!), teas and Italian sodas. For food, you can get one of the many pastries supplied by Macrina Bakery or one of their grab and go items. Pro tip: you get a discount if you bring in a reusable mug or a mug with the Rose Gift Shop logo. You can also pick up a punch card so you can earn a reward! Super delicious drinks that don't break the wallet. I'm not a fan of coffee but fortunately they have many non-coffee items on their seasonal menu! The menu isn't on the website or the Joe app, so you'll have to look at it on their social media or in-person. We got the Cascadia Caramel and Hot Peach Cobbler cider and both were great! The caramel one is as sweet as you'd expect it to be and the cider was warming and sweet with a bit of a ting to it. Katie and the rest of the staff are really nice and it's cute to look at all of the different art and artisan goods from local artists (Renton and Washingtonian). There's stickers, magnets, body care, and other items that rotate occasionally. The place has a cozy feel to it and the tables in the back are pretty quiet and exclusive, and it felt really peaceful hanging back there with some warm drinks. I think this is one of the best chill spots in downtown Renton and the prices (e.g. $4 for a 12oz cider) is very fair in addition to the experience. Definitely recommend coming by! This is an absolutely lovely coffee & gift shop in downtown Renton. I ended up coming here simply because I saw the sign outside - and I'm very glad that I did! Their specialty menu is fairly small, but they've definitely taken the time to get things just right! Of course, they have all the typical coffee/espresso items that you'd expect to see in a coffee shop. I went with the "Irish Creme Chocolate Truffle" with oat milk and it was *perfect* Almost too sweet, but not quite with bold flavour overall. 100% would drink another one, and would like to try other drinks! While waiting I was able to check out their gift selection, which has a lot of really cute stuff available. The prices that I saw weren't over the top and it's a great place for the coffee or even wine drinker in your life. The back area looks like they have some great places to sit and I'm looking forward to being able to actually site inside and chill for awhile one of these days. They also had a fairly good selection of pastries, which looked good, but I didn't have any. I was definitely excited to see they sell Pan's jerky!! This is a great addition to downtown Renton! They have some great regular menu items (the 3rd St. Vanilla Latte-YUM) and now have a seasonal fall menu! We always get great service and the drinks are the perfect temperature to sip immediately. I love looking at all the other items for sale and they have a super cute seating area in the very back as well as a few spots to sit out front. There's a big parking lot right next to it so no need to stress about finding a spot typically! read more

This place is a lovely addition to downtown Renton, which has been slowly experiencing a much-needed transformation to draw more folks. Sometimes I walk into gift shops and immediately know I won't buy anything. Not the case with this one. So many of the items were cute (vinyl stickers shaped like boba or mercats! Plant-themed prints! Hats with simple, artistic graphics!)--things I'd get for myself and others. And, even better, most of the artists are from WA! I especially love that the owner hosts pop-up food vendors and is enthusiastic about promoting local small businesses. Food-wise, the selection is a bit small but sufficient (and delicious) for anyone needing a bite and a drink to accompany the browsing. When my family went, we had a chocolate croissant, raspberry bar, huge chocolate chip cookie, scone, breakfast burrito, and turkey/bacon croissant, two cafe cremas (so smooth!) and warm apple cider for the kiddos. I used to love this place. The last time I came in, I was asked about what work I did as casual conversation. I was really happy to talk about my work since i just started and am passionate about it. The barista said she went to school that had a lot of people going to that school for what I studied. She then proceeded to basically say the people who do my work and teachers all go in to it because we like having control over people because we used to be bullies ourselves? ...ironic bc did I basically just get bullied myself...after I tipped? Nasty first off the owner, put her nose in my coffee cup.... to smell the coffee she says a cup of coffee that wasn't even hot when served, not to mention you can see she was wearing nothing under her dress because as my friend and I were waiting for our coffee, you can see her dress going in between her butt crack more than once. I witnessed her sweeping the floor and going back behind the counter back to making customers coffee without handwashing.Meanwhile, my friend and I continue our conversation for awhile as I was holding onto this nasty cup of coffee until we left. I tossed the cup in the trash. I would not be surprised if anyone were to ever get sick from eating or drinking and this establishment because she's not clean very nasty and unprofessional I will be reporting and showing what I have to the health department. This business reminds me of something I'd find in a small town like Leavenworth, Winthrop, or Lake Chelan where I'd grab a mocha, a sandwich, and a souvenir during a visit. The barista who worked at the counter was really friendly and the menu board had a diverse beverage list which caters to the type of customer who orders the same drink no matter which coffee shop they go to and or for the customer who likes to play the adventure game. The shop radiates an artistic personality as you'll find a unique collection of art and you'll spend a good 5-10 minutes browsing until you find something that speaks to you. If you're into Etsy and Pinterest you'll appreciate the selected items for purchase. There is a parking lot just north of the business and there's free street parking as well.
