Seattle Chocolate rebranded as Maeve Chocolate in located in a industrial area just outside of the Southcenter Mall. Denise was very welcoming, warm, personable and knowledgeable explaining the different chocolates to us. They do offer a tour, but unfortunately, we did not have enough time to take it. We sampled a few different chocolates. Denise recommended her favorite which was the Cafe Latte Crunch. So creamy and good! Come check them out! Support your local business.

If you're a chocolate lover, then this is a must stop on your Seattle travels. You can ask for as many chocolate samples as you desire. Plenty of parking and I love they have creative photo ops here, including their mascot, Greg Glitter, the, space-themed mascot. All their chocolate candies are rich, but my favorite is their cookies and cream chocolate. The customer service at Maeve was wonderful and the ambiance is simple, cool and collective

I had never even heard of this chocolate brand until a friend took us for a tour. We had such a great time, our guide was great, I learned a lot about how to make chocolate, we enjoyed trying different flavors and the discount on purchases at the end was helpful. I loved the vibe of the place it was fun and a huge plus that it's women owned. I brought some stuff back home with me and everyone loves it!

I attended a tour and tasting at Maeve Chocolate and left impressed. The tasting featured six distinct chocolates -- everything from bright, fruity single-origin bars to richer, high-cacao pieces -- and while all were tasty, I generally preferred the darker, more complex offerings. The textures were clean and the flavor development in the dark bars (bitter-sweet, with subtle fruit and spice notes) stood out. The tour guide They were excellent, personable, clearly passionate, and very knowledgeable about bean sourcing, tempering, and flavor profiling. Their demos on conching and tempering made the process tangible without getting bogged down in jargon. Some history Maeve Chocolate's shift from the Seattle Chocolate name reflects a move to emphasize craft, single-origin sourcing, and a modern identity that better represents their focus on ethical sourcing and flavor-driven small-batch production. The new name and packaging celebrate provenance and the personalities behind the beans, while preserving the company's Seattle roots and commitment to quality. Highlights Six thoughtfully curated samples showcasing a range of cacao percentages and origins. Strong preference for the dark chocolate line -- nuanced, well-balanced, and memorable. Informative, engaging guide and a concise, behind-the-scenes look at production. Friendly tasting pace that allowed time to savor each piece and ask questions. If you appreciate chocolate craftsmanship and want a guided tasting that balances technique with flavor exploration, Maeve Chocolate's tour is worth it.

Walking into Maeve Chocolate felt like stepping straight into Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The whole place smells like warm chocolate and sugar, and it honestly feels a little magical the second you walk in. Everything looked so beautifully made and the chocolate tasted super rich and high quality. You can tell a lot of care goes into what they make here. It's the kind of place where you walk in planning to get one thing and leave with a whole bag because everything looks so good. Very fun ecperien If you love chocolate or just want a cute little treat stop, this place is definitely worth visiting!

We attended their Valentine's Day workshop "The Key To Your Heart" which is a box puzzle game with two boxes of chocolates as the prize. The puzzles to unlock the box were slightly challenging and fun! The crew has put a lot of thoughts in it! Highly recommend this activity! The shop is very welcoming with lots of cute and colorful decorations. The staff kindly offered us two different types of chocolate for tasting and mentioned that we could try either one. I chose one to start, and it was smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. After that, we continued browsing and picked out about $80 worth of chocolates to bring home. When we went to pay, I decided to try the second flavor that was still available for sampling. As I reached for it, a staff made a comment about me going for my second piece. It caught me a little off guard. Considering we had just purchased a fairly generous amount, it felt unnecessary to point it out. I understand that samples are meant to be limited, but the remark made the moment slightly awkward when it had otherwise been a pleasant shopping experience.

Five Stars for the Maeve / Seattle Chocolate factory tour. Our tour was led by Sam. She was super knowledge and gave an amazing tour! This lady needs a raise! Maeve Chocolates is a woman-owned business. I also believe about 75% of their employees are women. That is amazing! There is so much warmth and culture from this company. The tour was about 60 minutes long. It includes some education about cocoa beans, sourcing, and a factory tour. And of course there are a lot of taste testing done along the way! Manager Denise was also amazing. She and her staff had some amazing customer service. Thanks for a great experience!

This company and their chocolate are amazing! Who doesn't love to eat tasty treats, learn a bit, and support a good cause all at the same time? Well, that can happen here. Maeve Chocolate (Seattle Chocolate Company) ethically sources their cacao from farmers, and then turns around and donates a portion of their profits back to support those farmers. Amazing! We're not a milk chocolate household but the milk chocolate at Maeve is seriously so good. So chocolatey and creamy! The dark chocolate is the star though. It's fudgey and creamy and perfect. The flavors and branding artwork that are part of the Maeve brand are so fun and colorful! I wanted to buy them all. The Creme Brulee and coffee infused bars are my favorites. The other brand they make, jcoco, is higher-end Peruvian chocolate and has some truly interesting flavor combinations - like smoked sea salt, a white chocolate with orange and Cayenne, and quinoa sesame. The staff working there were welcoming, knowledgeable, and offered so many samples! We left fat and happy, and full of bonbons.

We visited the Seattle Chocolate factory tour (now as Maeve Chocolate). You need to reserve your spot online beforehand, and we joined the 2 p.m. tour on a Saturday. Since the factory machines don't run on weekends, we didn't get to see them in action. However, the tour was still very enjoyable. Highly recommend! The experience started in a tasting room where we learned about the entire chocolate-making journey, from sourcing cacao beans at the farm and fermentation to the final production steps. Our tour guide passed around byproducts from each stage, like cacao bean shells and cocoa butter, while explaining the process. We also watched an informative video with more visuals about the company's history. Next, we visited the factory floor, where our guide gave a detailed explanation of what goes on at each station. After the tour, we got to the best part: sampling the chocolate! We did a fun blind tasting where we guessed the ingredients before they revealed which product it was. We also got to sample some of their famous chocolates throughout the tour. Overall, I learned a lot and was very happy with how much chocolate we got to sample!

Maeve (Seattle Chocolate,) is my very favorite LOCAL chocolate brand to gift! I was in the area working and made a point to stop by to purchase some of my favorites with the new packaging. The chocolate is the SAME, the only thing that's new is the name, and packaging. The customer service at this location is very welcoming, I wish i would have had time to participate in a tasting. The next time I'm in the area I will definitely plan ahead. Seattle is filled with so many wonderful chocolatier's, I highly recommend adding Maeve (Seattle Chocolate,) to your list!

I finally made it to the factory! Now known as Maeve, they still had the same great creations, just a different name. Upon walking in, the guy was friendly, explaining some of the basics. I happily customized my own bag with truffles (now called bon bons) and also made a small boxed gift for someone else with 17 truffles (one of each kind). As for my own, I stuck with my favorite peanut butter and added in some other flavors I was curious about. Behind the glass window was where those who signed up for the tour were sitting and hopefully indulging in a lot of chocolate. I didn't get the chance to join one today but possibly next time I'm in town. Free parking out front was plentiful, and if you're there on Saturday, they supposedly heavily discount the former 'Seattle Chocolate' branded items that I wish were available all week, so you're going to get a great deal.

We had our very first factory tour today with guide John. He was very fun, informative and made our time very interactive as we enjoyed the abundance of chocolate. The factory was amazing, efficient and extremely well organized. We have been fans of Seattle Chocolates for years and we are glad we made it out for a visit. Thank you John and the rest of the staff for making a fun experience to go along with an awesome product!!!! I recommend the factory tour to anyone interested.

I stopped by here by chance. The parking lot is around the store. From the outside, it feels like you can't tell it's a chocolate store at all. But there was a Seattle chocolate sign at the entrance. There were quite a few people inside the store, and I found out later that there was the chocolate factory tour. I thought I'd like to join the tour next time. I looked around the store slowly, but it was hard to choose because there were various kinds of chocolate with very fun packaging and unusual combinations. After much hesitation, I first chose five flavors I wanted to try from Minibar Chocolate. And I got a package for five of those minibars. It's cute like a mini book. The woman at the store is bright and very energetic. And this is the flagshop store.
