My Experience With KinderCare -- Please Read Before Enrolling This establishment has honestly been one of the worst experiences I have had to deal with while becoming a mother and caring for my nephew. My mother was murdered on April 18th of this year, and I had to step in and obtain custody of my nephew. His biological mother also passed away on May 21st. During this extremely difficult time, I was dealing with grief, family responsibilities, foster/kinship licensing, classes, and trying to make sure my nephew was properly cared for. When I registered him with KinderCare, I specifically asked multiple times whether there would be a copay based on what the county subsidy voucher covered. I explained that my funds were extremely limited and that, if I had a copay I could not afford, I would need to find another childcare location. I was repeatedly told that there would be no copay and that the county subsidy would cover everything. Based on that information, I enrolled my nephew and continued using the center. Then, approximately a month and a half later, I was presented with a balance of around $1,000. I was extremely upset because I had specifically asked about this before enrolling and was told there was no amount I would have to pay. When I explained the situation to management and what I had been told when I signed up, I was told that the employee who enrolled me had not been properly trained and that the manager had not been there at the time. The site director eventually told me that the balance would be removed and gave me one week to find another school if I was not going to pay tuition. I followed those instructions and made arrangements to move my nephew to another childcare provider. Despite that, KinderCare continued keeping my child in their system and continued charging the account. I had difficulty getting anyone to return my calls, and eventually the communication I received was from a collection agency attempting to collect the balance. After months of dealing with this, the situation was finally resolved. But the amount of unnecessary stress this caused me and my nephew during an already devastating period of our lives was unacceptable. There were also concerns regarding how some staff handled my nephew's personal care. One teacher told me that she had been pulling his foreskin completely back while caring for him. I noticed that this was irritating him and causing redness. I researched the proper care of an uncircumcised child and became concerned that this was not appropriate. I immediately addressed the issue with the teacher and asked her to show me exactly what she had been doing so that we could make sure there was no misunderstanding. I clearly asked that she stop pulling his foreskin back. I also experienced situations that I felt added unnecessary emotional stress. There were comments and implications about whether my nephew should participate in Father's Day activities, which was especially hurtful given everything our family had recently experienced. There were also suggestions that I should bring additional food for my child, even though providing food had never been a problem. Overall, I felt that my family was not treated with the understanding or compassion that I would have expected, especially after explaining the circumstances surrounding my nephew and our family. I am sharing my experience because I believe parents and caregivers deserve to know what questions to ask before enrolling their children and should carefully review exactly what their childcare subsidy covers and whether there are any additional charges. Our family was enrolled at this location for nearly two years prior to relocating. Unfortunately, our experience with the new director during that time was disappointing. Communication was inconsistent, and she appeared unfamiliar with our children, which was concerning. We were given inaccurate information on several occasions, and accountability was often deflected onto the teaching staff. I'm making this review now in light of videos I've seen online with daycares being out of control. I enrolled my child during the summertime in 2024 and made the director aware that my child would only attend the school for two weeks due to her school year, almost starting which she had mentioned was OK for her as long as it was a minimum of two weeks I decided to schedule an orientation or walk-through of the building and when I scheduled it that morning, there was nobody in the office or anywhere to help about 15 to 20 minutes later a parent contacted somebody inside to let them know I was waiting. We finally got a walk-through and I decided to move forward the first day she attended after I picked her up. Everything was fine. She wasn't in a different classroom from where I originally dropped her off, which was OK and I asked the person taking care of them if the next day I would pick up in the same room or would it be a different room again where she stated that sometimes it could be the same room or different so the following day when I picked her up, I noticed that it was a different person, taking care of the kids. I did not get her name, but there was quite a few parents picking up their children, and my child ran directly to me so I can check her out however, I noticed the person watching them was not paying attention to the door. She was looking down at a tablet and watching the other children I walked up to her to let her know that I was here to pick up my child and to make her aware of it, I felt a little discomfort seeing that if not observed correctly, literally anyone could take my child with them, but I ignored it and my child went back the third day. And after picking my kid up on that day, the same thing happened this time I did not even bother walking up to the person in charge. I just grabbed my child and walked away with such an unsettling feeling that they did not even pay attention as I loved with my kid when we got home my child made me aware that the teacher was really upset with the children that day because they were yelling and screaming, in which my child moved forward to say that the instructor or caretaker said some bad words to the kids I asked what did she say and my child mentioned that the teacher said "if you guys don't shut the fuck up im going to call your parents". I contacted the school right away and the director answered and I told her I really needed to speak to her about something that happened at school and told her that I would most likely be pulling my daughter out what shocked me the most was how the director responded to me saying this she grew upset very quickly, and literally started yelling at me over the phone and said "I knew you were lying to me. You said you were going to keep your child in here for two weeks but you lied." I told her that was not the case, and that I was pulling her out for a different reason, but she would not hear me not only was a disappointing to see what a staff member said around other kids, which was later confirmed by the same director that yelled at me, but this reaction that the director had it took us over 30 minutes of back-and-forth over the phone to finally let her know the real reason why I was pulling her out and once I explained to her what was happening, her whole demeanor changed she started calming her tone and said "what which teacher did this?" I went on to describe the teacher and she then side and said I'm so sorry about this. We are in the middle of cleaning house and unfortunately we have a few bad apples. This person is new and we were hoping she would work out, but now we see that it's a mistake. I know this is such a long read, but I wanted to share my full experience here with you guys because later I was contacted by corporate and they had me make a statement via email of everything that happened and they were very kind in understanding the situation it was very disappointing because during that call with the director that I originally had, she made so many threats to me saying she was going to send me to collections because I did not give her a two weeks notice to pull my child out and that I just came in and lied to her face. I was trying to explain to her that I did not feel that my child was safe being in their care and once she understood what was happening she said she would not take me to collections. I just wanna make people aware of what is happening in this care center for children because children cannot defend themselves some of these kids are so small luckily my child was a little old enough to share things with me and communicate but if you're looking for a location to send your kids, I highly recommend you do your research and I'm not sure if this director still there and if they made changes, hopefully they have I do believe that this goes all the way up to management and that changes need to be done for these kids sake. read more

We scheduled a tour of Silverado Ranch KinderCare through their website well in advance, but when we arrived, we were told the scheduling system apparently isn't linked to their internal calendar, and they couldn't accommodate a tour that day. To make matters worse, the director was out. We decided to come back a few days later, expecting the director to be available since she knew we were coming. Unfortunately, she still wasn't in. When we finally took the tour, it was given by the same girl who had told us a few days earlier that she's not supposed to be giving tours. The daycare was completely empty, it felt like a ghost town. I kept asking where all the children were. Having worked at daycares before, this was an immediate red flag. At the end of the tour, she told us the director had returned. But then she came back and said the director couldn't speak to us because she was on the phone with someone due to their system being down. She didn't even give us five minutes, despite knowing we had a scheduled appointment. I asked her to have the director call us, and we never heard back. Overall, red flags all around. Based on this experience, we will definitely not be entrusting our son to Silverado Ranch KinderCare. read more

Been a parent of 3 students that have attended this Kindercare over the last 4 years that it has been opened. Overall the care has been really good. The original management team was really patient and friendly with the children. Then there was overhaul with management and staff and the quality of care and teaching took a dive. Disappointing Experience with Current Director (Kamila) My child has been attending this KinderCare center for over a year, and up until recently, we had a beautiful experience. The teachers have always been kind and nurturing, and my daughter absolutely loves her school. However, my recent experience with the current director, Kamilla, has been very disheartening. I am really unsure if Kamila is FULLY TRAINED and it shows real bad. During a conversation about my child's education, Camilla showed that she "does not know how to communicate" and ordered me to leave her office. She refused to continue the conversation, opened her laptop, and proceeded to ignore me. This level of unprofessionalism is UNACCEPTABLE, especially when it concerns the education and well-being of a child. I've made numerous efforts to communicate with her prior to this incident, but her lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to engage is a recurring issue. This center has had a lot of change in just one year I noticed teachers are leaving frequently, which raises concerns about the overall environment for both staff and children. I've also heard from other parents that I'm not the first person to have a negative interaction with her, and that both Kamilla and the assistant director, Bree, have been dishonest with parents and instructed teachers to do the same. It's disappointing that this center, which was once a positive place for my daughter, has become a place where even the management is unable to effectively communicate or show respect. I refuse to keep my child in an environment where the leadership displays such unprofessionalism. Based on my recent experience, I would rate this center a zero. I am not the only person of color that this has happen to resulting in dis enrollment but there definitely is racism happening at this facility. read more

And the amount of things that had happened were gut wrenching teacher's were allowed to stay and continue to work in this school after not only cussing in front of the children but causing a unsafe environment! Me and my partner decided to give them another chance because people get angry we understand until we seen the child neglect in the place teachers not paying attention to the kids on their phones or caught sleeping not only by me but several other parents and mangers were informed and again nothing done I started seeing the school was desperate to keep teachers so they can continue the enrollment of more instead of worrying about the Childrens safety! ! read more

We've been taking our son here since he was 15 months old (he is 3 1/2 now) and we loved it up until they hired a new director roughly a year ago. Ever since Kamilla came on things have gotten so bad. Good teachers were leaving left and right so they didn't have nearly enough teachers to staff the classrooms and the ones left couldn't care less about the kids except Ms Syia and Ms Bre in the preschool class we loved them. Recently they've had the cook watching the kids in the preschool class because of the teacher shortage. The director and associate director are never up front and this always made me so uneasy as anyone can just walk in behind another parent. The student-teacher ratio in the last couple of months has been 20:1 which is well above the normal 12:1 for my son's age group in pre-school. They do not follow the curriculum that they say your child will be learning, the classrooms are a mess, the kids are either sitting alone or running around like there are no adults in sight, and good luck getting daily updates regularly. Insane given that they are charging an insnae amount of money for this place. I've seen teachers raise their voices to the kids, not paying attention, on their phones, and letting the kids do whatever they want. I certainly never saw them teaching. We've watched several parents who have been there as long as our son leave in last few months. We decided to pull him out and put him into Goddard and he is thriving. This was our recent experience and goodluck to everyone with your choice. I hope they get it together but this place is going downhill fast and we cannot recommend it whatsoever. Our 18-month old boy loves it. We are very happy we put him in here, they send updated and pictures of him daily and he seems so happy to go back. All the staff are great with the kids, they keep you posted if baby has an accident and take really good care of him. We have just recently put our 20 month old boy into the toddlers room here and so far have been super impressed. Everyone who works here is super friendly and professional and we love the facility. It's always so clean and the rooms are full of age appropriate toys. The outside space is equally impressive with good equipment. My son is always happy to go in and loves his room leaders and his friends that he has made. He is a very shy child... probably due to Covid but seems to be much more outgoing since the 4 weeks he's been here. He's also learning sign language which is amazing. Really recommend and the price isn't too bad for the local area at all as it includes diapers and food. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Kindercare was a nightmare from the beginning. Britt is very rude and unprofessional. I showed up at 7:50am my first day dropping my 6 month old off and Britt showed up at 8:05am. She didn't even greet us and when I said something to her, she said she'd be back. Twenty minutes later she was still no where to be found. I ended up leaving with my daughter. Four months later and it's still a disaster. I only stuck around this long because I had my daughter on a waitlist for a different daycare. When you walk through the doors you get the feel of negativity. Lacey and Britt have zero customer service skills for being in the front. Kindercare is very unorganized. They have new teachers everyday and a very high turn over rate with staff. I will shout out Denise, Leslie, Liv, and Ms. V. When these ladies were actually in the infant room, my daughter was well taken care of. When these teachers were not in the room, all the babies would be crying and screaming. I would NEVER recommend this place. read more

Amazing group of loving teachers! They have protocols in place to keep the kids safe and are quick to report even the smallest incident with a quick phone call and message through the app. I appreciate being kept up to date on my little guys eating, sleeping, and diapers. Makes me feel less stressed while I'm plugging away at work. They do have discounts if you work for certain companies. They do fun craft activities and interactive play with the cutest pictures and videos sent to you throughout the day. My little guy feels safe and loved. Appreciate all the hard work! read more

Kindercare has been incredible with my 2 year old. They accommodated us when we needed last minute care for a whole month. The director Nicole and the staff are very welcoming, just wonderful! I appreciate my son's teachers being so patient with him on the bad days where he would cry more often. My 2 year old LOVES it here and with our month is coming to an end I am so sad to have to take him out because he has grown to love waking up to get ready for school. The facility is very clean and secured. I love that they send updates throughout the day on their app with pictures because it helps my anxious mind while I'm at work they also provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks in between. thank you kindercare family!
