Silverspot Cinema is located in downtown Miami right by the Whole Foods. They offer discounted movies on Tuesday and Thursday's, discounted parking at nearby garages, and even happy hour pricing! We really enjoy going to Silverspot. We live in Brickell so we take the metro mover over and we don't have to worry about parking. We also like that they have a full restaurant with great food! Not only do they offer typical theater food like popcorn and candy, but they also offer meals like chicken fingers, ahi tuna, burgers, and pasta! You have the option to order from your seat through the app or through the staff that are constantly walking by. We also love that the seats recline and there's ample seating because the theaters are large! This place is very nice! It's more upscale than your typical theatre. Buy your tickets online and just scan them upon entry for the most efficient process. There is a bar on every floor and they have amazing food and drink choices. But the most impressive thing is their happy hour at those bars. You can get signature cocktails (normally priced at $15) for as little as $4! Also worth noting that their well Vodka is Tito's, very classy. Devon was our mixologist last night and she was AWESOME. Very friendly and an excellent host! You don't even need to be seeing a movie to go to this bar and indulge in their amazing drinks! The place has been super clean both times we've been there, that includes the conveniently-located bathrooms. The theatre rooms themselves have excellent plush, reclining seats. You can order food and drink directly to your seat from the app as well, SUPER convenient. I HIGHLY recommend the wings, as they're some of the best I've ever had. They're very meaty and the sauce is amazingly tasty. I now order them every time. My final compliment is the place has been felt overly crowded. We never had problems getting seats for a show or shuffling past other movie-goers. Our only issue encountered was that one of our drink orders (a White Claw and a Draft Beer) we had to go retrieve from the bar mid-movie after 45 minutes of waiting. I've seen several movies here! Parking is across the street at Met 3 (Google Maps takes you exactly there). The process to check in and validate your parking is easy. The theaters themselves are beautiful w comfy seats, amenities, and QR codes to order food service -- you can also scan a QR code before your movie and enter the seat number ahead of time. I would remove one star because the food is overpriced. The popcorn was stale. However the coconut jasmine rice bowl with crispy chicken was fairly tasty with a generous amount of chicken, avocado, edamame, sweet n spicy sauce, cucumber, and pickled veggies. I really enjoy this theater. I've observed the customer service greatly improve lately. Management and staff are doing a good job improving the customer service experience. Special shout-out to Ryan at the food counter for going above and beyond. Give Ryan a raise! Theater. Theaters are clean. Large reclining seats. Pro tip, for the larger theaters it's actually better to be in the first 2/3 rows not the true middle row. The seats are positioned really far from the screen in most of the theaters so a lot of times rows 2 and 3 are the best view of the screen that feel like the "middle". And the last row, furthest from screen may just be too far back, especially if you have bad vision, or are in one of the larger theaters. Parking. I am a local, so I walk here. I don't have to deal with parking. I'd imagine parking is a hassle for those driving into the theater because you're in the heart of the city. Request. Cheese popcorn! Make it happen guys. Cons. I'm not going to dock a star (yet), but chill with the bag checking. Some of the folks at the front check in make you dump everything out of your bag to check the bag. If the check is to keep food out, that's dumb, you are still making a crap ton off of the tickets and food. Who cares if people bring water, candy, snacks. Get over it! Now, if the bag check is for security then you need to improve the process. Get a scanner, put it in the front and make everyone walk through it. A bag check alone is a weak security measure, which assumes purses are the only place people carry weapons. I fully support security checks so no one is bringing weapons or other weirdness (not including snacks!!) into the theater. Ensuring guest safety should be a priority. If it is then do a better job than a half baked check from untrained check-in attendants. The new policy should be, "snacks are cool, but weapons are not". read more

After coming to this place, I will not return to a "regular" movie theater again. Prices are not much more than the other movie places w/ the super hard chairs, so that's worth it. The food is basic, parking is expensive (gotta park across the street in a garage), but everything else is cool. The employees are nice so overall I recommend. read more

Nice and very big cinema located in the middle downtown Miami. Movies range from $17 from $19 depending on the times and dates. Some of the rooms have Dolby atmos sound, which is about $2 more per ticket. You can purchase tickets through their website from home for an additional small fee or get them at the machine in the lobby. The seats are amazing. They are basically huge recliners with a personal table attached. You get plenty of personal space. For the first hour of the movie, you can order food and drinks from your seat. There are two ways to order: ask a server or order from the theater app. We enjoyed a margarita made with cuervo silver and cointreau ($13) which by the way was delicious, a la rubia draft beer ($6), and ten wings ($12). Wings were surprisingly delicious, a bit small but full with flavor. I found the prices to be OK considering the Brickell area and the theater in the vicinity. The tip is not automatically included, which is good, however I found it uncomfortable because I was not able tip based on service. But it worked out in our case, as the server was friendly and brought everything pretty quickly. My wife and I went there on Saturday for the first time. We didn't have great expectations, so frankly we were truly blown away by the nice theater. There's a fellow called 'Seven' (yes, that's his name) who is at A+ class act representative and helped us store our bicycles. The theater common areas are beautiful, especially the bar and lounge. I had a great movie experience here! I saw Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. The tickets were $8 each on Tuesdays and I bought them through Atom. They're closed Mondays and Wednesdays. Everyone was very friendly and everything was very clean. The snacks were super overpriced, but that's normal for a movie theater. I didn't order any meals or alcohol, but you can order these things to your seat before the movie starts. I couldn't figure out where to park and Downtown parking is a mess, so I ended up ubering. Two guys came even later into the movie and wouldn't get off their phone and using their flashlight the entire movie and the manager said they were ordering food. He did nothing about it. I have my go-to movie theaters nearby but my friend recently got ACL surgery and recliners are clutch! We heard Silverspot had 'em so checked it out this weekend. To start, you're paying a pretty penny for the movies except on Tuesday when they're discounted. One movie ticket was $18 on Sunday afternoon. If you're driving in, the garage they validate for is the Met 3 Garage connected to Whole Foods. It's $8 for 4 hours with validation ($40 if you go past that). If you add on drinks and snacks, expect for one expensive date night, but the quality is there. Our theater was located on the third floor. There's a really large bar and lounge area, as well as concession stand with everything from beer and pitchers of mojitos, to cheeseburgers and candy. You can also order food and drinks directly into the theater through their mobile app. My husband got a Stella which was about $9. When we came out of our movie, we ran into Marlon Wayans who was in the bar area promoting his new Netflix movie as part of an event. It's cool to know they're going to host special events like this. My husband and I always order the salmon bites, loaded nachos, and the layered chocolate cake which are a 10/10 all around. Our only suggestion -- make sure you leave with time to maneuver downtown Miami traffic (depending on your movie time) and find your bearings with the parking garage which is across the street. I feel like if Cinebistro and the Regal Cinemas on Lincoln Road had a baby, it would be Silverspot Cinema. A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to a free pre-screening here for the movie "Blinded by the Light" just for being a Yelp Elite. The theater itself is not difficult to find. It's right across the street from the Whole Foods in Downtown Miami, but be careful with where you decide to park your car if you're driving there. There's a parking garage directly in front of Silverspot Cinemas, where the theater staff recommend visitors to park because they validate/comp your parking ticket - but only for that garage. We accidentally parked in the garage of the Wells Fargo Center not knowing it wouldn't be comped/validated at the theater. Either way, this is a vertical movie theater, much like the Regal Cinemas on Lincoln Road where you have to take escalators to go up to the theater to watch your movie. On each floor, the concessions look like trendy bars or restaurants. They serve all kinds of bar themed eats with the typical movie goer options too. It is on the pricier side much like Cinebistro, and you can order from an attendant inside the theater who will serve it to you in a big brown bag when it's ready. The quality of the theater is nice; they offer stadium seating, reclining seats, lots of leg room and perfect views from any seat in the theater house. The acoustics are great but the brown bag that the food is delivered is super loud and distracting. Not everyone is mindful of this so just keep that in mind. Overall I enjoyed the experience, not so much paying $64 for a few sliders and chicken tenders and then another $30 for parking, but hey at least the movie tickets were free. I have lived downtown and this was a great theater when it opened. But tonight was probably my last visit. I was incredibly disappointed in my experience overall tonight -- I couldn't get my gift card to work to purchase tickets or food on the app, employees did not want to assist when I physically went to the theater to buy a ticket ... I was dismissed and told to go buy it at a self serve kiosk, which also DID NOT WORK WITH A GIFT CARD. I could not purchase my intended seat because I had reserved it on the self serve kiosk (because they told me to) and now it was going to be held and not released by the kiosk for "30 mins." Although there were no fewer than 5 employees at the snack bar, only one was actually serving any customers and I waited without being acknowledged or assisted for this ONE employee. Midway thru my movie I needed the restroom and wandered around trying to find it (signage was confusing at best) and then was told the entire women's room on that floor was "not working" and I had to go to another floor entirely. I ended up just leaving. It was incredibly disappointing. read more

I used to really love this theater, but after my experience yesterday I won't be back. The seats were ripped and leather was coming off of them Seats D5 and D6 in Theater 14. There was nobody working it seemed, you could only get food on the 3rd floor. A lot of food items on the app were unavailable. All of the bars were closed on a weekend, except the 3rd floor. Thoroughly enjoyed this venue! Atmosphere: Great theater! The seats are super comfortable. The seats reclined and it had a side table that wasn't too far to comfortably eat; which i greatly appreciated. Some places that I have been to required you to sit up to comfortably eat. At least here you could bring the side table to you. Food: The food was reasonably priced. The pepperoni flatbread could've have been a little less "easy bake oven" and more like the picture I seen in the photo section in my opinion. The crust was nice and crispy but the cheese and sauce made me think of a lunchable pizza that was put in the microwave. The beef sliders were actually good and so were the sweet potato fries. I'd probably try that again or something along those lines and steer clear of the flatbreads. Staff: Staff was super nice. One in particular cracked us up with his jokes. Overall: Overall I'd definitely come back. They have deals on different days. As we were leaving one of the employees told us we should come on Tuesday's as it's $10 all day, any movie! The bar on the 5th floor wasn't open due to the rona surge but Dara at the 3rd floor bar was lovely. The BEST part of this is the concession/dining system. You can order at the bar or lounge and sit there to dine. You can order at the concession stand and have it brought to you as soon as it's ready, you can order with a server 30 mins before and also directly from your phone for up to an hour into the movie. I had pretty good experience and would definitely return. This is basically a two part review consisting of the food/service and their app. The food and drinks were largely better than expected: mojitos were strong and well balanced, and delivered about 15 minutes after ordering; the wings tasted great; popcorn was flavorful however it was a smaller portion than expected and also cold; the fried shrimp was really good; and the flatbread pizza was horrible--think school cafeteria, it really should be removed from the menu. The seating is excellent. Recliners basically go back as far as you'd like and are quiet. Servers were fairly prompt and didn't interrupt much either. The technology was the worst part. The app is used to buy tickets, order food and drinks, etc. It doesn't support Apple Wallet, which means tickets can be retrieved only in the app as opposed to automatically popping up when you arrive at the theater; it doesn't support Apple Pay, which means you need to save your card details in the app or re-enter this information in a dark theater when you're ready to order food. It's preferable to offer contactless payments options so consumers' data is safe and have they have the utmost convenience. Lastly you do need to follow their directions on parking. Silverspot Cinema did a great job by offering full theater rentals to groups and parties during the pandemic. I'm not sure if they always offered this but this was my first time experiencing their theater. My friends rented out Theater 8 and it was such a beautiful theater, very clean and stylish. It's about $100 to rent out on a weekday and $150 on weeknights. I'm not sure how long this is being offered or if it is a permanent option. I love that they bring your food directly to you and the seats have great little swing tables you can use-- fully equipped with a cup holder as well! I ordered the crispy shrimp, popcorn and a margarita, and it was delicious! The food is reasonably priced for the most part. With this theater option, we streamed our own movie, but you can also watch a movie currently in the box office for an up charge of about $8 per person. We ordered our food a little too close to starting the movie so the waiters had to turn on the lights to distribute our food, so we ended up pausing the movie as well. I think with proper food timing, you can totally avoid this. Huge tip: be sure to park in their parking garage connected to Whole Foods and get your parking validated! $8 parking for up to 4 hours. This is a beautiful theater! Everything about it is just really nice. Down to the gorgeous bathroom lol which I've never said before about a movie theater restroom. There's a concession stand and bar area but you're able to order from a server in the theater which is what we decided to do. Very convenient. The recliners are really nice and comfy, and everything is clean. The menu has delicious cocktail and food options and everything we tried was very tasty. This place however is pretty pricey, but I feel like you get what you pay for. Definitely come here if you're trying to impress someone. I feel like after this place gets the swing of things it'll be a great date night. There were 2 servers that kept coming to us interrupting the movie asking if it was our food, after we already received our food, it happened like 4 times. They were probably new which is totally understandable so definitely when things start to run smoother, I'd definitely come back. If I had to compare this to anywhere it'd be iPic or CMX in Brickell, same concept. What this place was missing was the blanket, pillow and the little "call your server" button and the popcorn isn't free. Here, you just had to wait for someone to come and waive them down there was no other way to cal a server and after you get your food they never come back to check on you or ask if you want anything else. You basically order, pay, get your food and that's it. Other then that, great theater! If I could give a tip it would be to come on $10 Tuesdays!!! Such a steal. Also! I want to make a complaint about a guy name Drew who was working behind the bar area. There was a girl back there clearly in training, and he was yelling at her which to me was ridiculous and very unprofessional. This is my favorite theater! I've never had a bad experience here. Their theaters are clean and their seats are super comfortable and can recline really far back. The food is GOOD. Like surprisingly good for a movie theater. And they'll bring it right to your seat! Amazing! It can be a little slow if you order through the app, so if you're able to order with one of the workers inside your theater, that is better. And they will add your rewards number to make sure you get the points. Sure, it is a little expensive. But every movie theater is now a days.
