My only real issue was the young lady at the snack counter was rude and a sour puss. She shouldn't be around people. She should be cleaning the theaters or restrooms. Came here to watch the Michael movie. It's an interesting theater. Where you order food is tiny, their popcorn doesn't seem to be the traditional movie theater popcorn, but you can't beat their prices. As for the theater, it almost feels like you're on a plane with how narrow it is but the seats were comfy. Went see "IN THE GREY" and it was upsetting to see that the theater was chopping off about 20% of the frame on the left. Movie had scrolling information some times and it was impossible to see it. This place has truly upgraded since my high school days. I'm very pleased and the community support of this location is strong! Love to see the family vibe. Brought my mom here to see the new Jurassic Park movie (amazing) and we enjoyed ourselves. The ticket prices are very reasonable along with the concession stand prices ($5.00 hot dogs and small popcorn $4.50). Seats are reclinable which will soon be updated to new "upscale" recliners in September (can't wait). They offer online ticket service, so checking in was quick.... facilities were clean regardless of the large crowd tonight. Customer service friendly which make you welcome (keep up the good work). We were there for a field trip today and everything went so smooth. The staff were helpful and prepared for us. I had been communicating with Kristen through the planning of the field trip and since the moment we spoke she was nothing but very helpful and professional. The theater was clean and beautiful. The staff did everything with a smile on their face. As teachers, with a group of over 100, we don't usually experience the smoothness and ease when we attend field trips. Well this was nothing butt. The snacks were prepared and given out quickly and the students enjoyed their trip more than we even thought they would. We will definitely be back again next year and recommend this theater for movie field trips and for personal use as well. All in all it was awesome!!!! read more

Looking for something to do to waste time before your flight? Check this theater out! It was so close to the airport. They even held our luggage while we watched the movie! It was very clean and the cheapest movie tickets we have had in a LONG time. We didn't love the popcorn because it didn't have any salt, but honestly that's the only "bad" thing. This no frills neighborhood movie theater nestled inside the Ocean Bank building has been one of my favs since the 90's; and now decades later, I'm coming with my daughter and it's become her fav movie theater too because It's not as "busy or stuffy" as the larger chains. A few years ago, they gave this movie theater a facelift - they put leather seats, new carpeting and totally cleaned it up and it gave and still gives the big movie theaters a run for their money. Its staff is always friendly, upbeat and professional. The young man that takes the movie tickets is always happy to see the regular customers and helps out when need it. This theater hasn't lost its good ol' neighborhood charm & it's great...! Yes, it's not fancy, it may not be a popular choice for the masses and no, it doesn't have alcoholic beverages; but it always delivers what it advertises - the latest movie, affordable prices and family fun for everyone. Ticket prices - can't be beat - $10 for adults/$7 for kids and that's after 6pm Mon-Thu and after 3pm Fri-Sun & holidays - because otherwise, it's $7 for everyone. Try getting that deal at any of the large movie chains like an AMC and without a member reward. Food/concession - Getting a large, & I mean huge, size popcorn for $6.50, hot dogs for $4.50, nachos around $5 and so on will put a huge smile on your face and leave more dough in your wallet especially when you're bringing the family along for the fun. What a great movie experience. It had hometown family feels, great friendly staff, and affordable prices. Officially found my home base.

Only reasons to skip on this theater are the following; 1) You're an extreme audiophile, 2) you love huge crowds, 3) you're turned on by taking 30 minutes to find a parking space when going to the movies or 4) you hate saving money. If non of the above apply to you and this is the closest movie theater to you then I don't see a reason to go anywhere else for a movie night or weekday matinee. The prices are a bit cheaper than other theaters so if you're coming with a few kids then you should save quite a few bucks. I've watched a few A/V demanding action movies here and I personally feel like the audio and video are both good. Not the greatest... Good. The chairs are vinyl covered and recline a tiny bit if you force them. The chairs don't massage your butt though - you gotta pay real bucks for that at a fancy theater. The nachos sometimes seem a bit stale but that's one of the theater's more exciting characteristics. It's almost like playing Russian roulette. As of October 2017, Matinee is $7, Nachos $5, Large pop $5. For whatever reason they don't accept Bank of America credit or debit cards... Just Bank of America. I am giving this theater two star rating due to the very comfortable seats and the friendly young man who helped all to their seats. However, when we ordered our food, the men who helped us were very friendly and helpful, but the young lady who tended to me the second time was rude, unfriendly and disrespectful. My husband, son and I took our 5 yo granddaughter to see the Little Mermaid May 26th 2023 opening night. I approached the young woman and ordered popcorn and my granddaughter wanted ice cream. I was not sure what Dips was so I asked her what Dips were and she abruptly blurted I don't know! I don't eat Ice cream! It was how she said it, the mannerism of frustration and bad attitude was harsh. I ignored her behavior and asked for 4 of them. She slammed them on the counter for me to grab. The popcorn was very salty, but it happens. When she ran the tab I used Apple Pay as I had done earlier, but it did not go through. She became agitated and impatient so to relax her I used a credit card. The food was overpriced and did not taste good at all, but that would have been no problem, but her attitude and how I was treated was uncalled for and if this is how she behaves with other customers you may have issues getting good ratings and visitors. For the sake of all and for your benefit, this young woman needs to be coached on how to be nice to people. Ok, is this going to be a fancy smancy theater with wonderfully reclining chairs and blow your mind audio video equipment? No. But, is this going to be a reasonably priced outing featuring comfortable chairs, and a decent theater experience, as well as FREE and plentiful parking? A loud, resounding YES! A small theater for sure, and each screening is somewhat intimate. The soundproofing could be better, and the fact that the staff does not go around closing doors as the movies start doesn't help. Big tip: feel free to get up and close the doors yourself, it helps keep out unwanted noise from adjacent movies. The chairs do recline a little, even if they are somewhat stiff. I will applaud the fact that the seats feel clean and not sticky, which is my pet peeve about most theaters. My roommate has mentioned that their popcorn is definitely a miss, so you might want to stick to candy instead. The prices are unbeatable for Miami standards; $7 for matinee and $10 regular. They even offer student discounts, what more can you ask for? Honestly, I'd rather go here and spend less for a movie experience, without having to battle the crowds and parking nightmare at other theaters. But, to each their own. I did take off a star as I feel like they could do better with the audio and video consistency. I'd go again, and probably again nonetheless. read more

Went with my son & a group of his friends & their moms, it was perfect for them. We arrived around noon, & they told me they opened at 12:20 (this was Saturday) so I waited on a nearby bench. It was $14 for my son & I, which isn't too bad. The place was pretty clean. I obviously wasn't expecting much on the food but it was pretty bad. My son said his hot dog was so hard to bite into. It ended up in the trash. And for them just opening up, the popcorn could have been a little fresher. I'd probably return just for the kids to watch a movie because it was so empty. read more

I came here to see Strange Magic on Sunday, with my daughter. Considering the fact that the movie had just come out 2 days prior and the movie was starting in 10 minutes, I was not very optimistic in terms of finding much seating available. We parked, came down, purchased tickets, and yes, as my prior review surmised, it was very tiny and even dated inside. I don't think I have seen a smaller movie theater, and although I could not find any historical information as to its inception, I assume it's got to be at least 30 years old, if not older, based on the interior. The tickets here were cheaper than at most movie theaters, which was a plus ($9 for adults and $6 for children), and it was pretty nice to not have to pay for parking, like at Lincoln Road, Paragon or any other theaters in the Grove, or Sunset Place. We entered and apart from maybe 5 or 6 people in the entire theater, we had it to ourselves. I was extremely surprised, as I expected this movie to be sold out, since it had just come out, was getting a lot of airplay in the Disney channel's commercials, and apart from Paddington, this was the only children's movie released and playing in theaters at this time. As I mentioned before, there are only about 5 movies playing at this theater at any given time, and they close early. Tickets cannot be purchased on Fandango or on their site, and there are no kiosks. Considering they share the area with a steakhouse that had plenty of patrons, they ought to stay open later to try to draw in the crowds who want to see a movie after dinner. Awesome I took my kids to the movies and the prices were very reasonable. This movie theater that I frequently visited when I was in high school. Surprised, that after almost 20 years, this location is still open .Remembering that I watched Above The Rim, starring Tupac back in 1994 on a date. (Ha Ha, I'm showing my age. Lol) Prices are extremely cheap, especially when you visit other top chain movie theaters. The theater is never crowded which is a plus for me, twilight prices are also reasonable if I'm not in mood of driving too far from my house. Location and pricing is a reason I give this theater 5 stars. Have plenty childhood memories at this theater, and glad I can bring my children to a theater that still exists from my time, since every other theater for the exception of Cobb (Hialeah) and AMC (Mall of the Americas ) haven't disappeared. Parking is convenient inside the Ocean Bank garage. Highly recommend this place if wanting to be frugal. I almost forgot to mention the concessions have very reasonable pricing. This place is sort of dingy and old school. Split seating, uncomfortable chairs and shady people. Even the parking is strange as you have to park on a desolate second floor then take an even more desolate escalator. The only reason to come is if you are on a serious budget as the tickets and concession is much more affordable than nearby Paragon. read more

Go to Lejeune Cinema for the prices not the quality. If you want to see a great quality movie this is not the place to go. However, if you are with a bunch of kids this is a great place to take them. For $6.00 each everyone gets in, much better than over $10.00 at a regular theater. I always bring along sandwiches and snacks for the kids, they do not have a lot of employees so they will never know. If you do decide to purchase concessions they are nowhere near regular theater prices; so go ahead and buy those nachos. The last few times I have gone to this theater we have been the only people there. I cannot tell you how much kids love having the theater to themselves. I went with my wife on my birthday and was so pleasantly surprised. I had always driven by and seen the cinema sign but was skeptical of what kind of theatre it could be. We recently moved a few blocks away from here and we wanted to see War Dogs but did not want to deal with Dolphin Mall or Sunset Place. I love going to the movies. I go by myself all the time. I don't go to be at the mall and look at stuff or anything else, just to watch a movie. This is what this place is great for. Tickets are super cheap in comparison with Cobb or AMC. We paid $10 per ticket and had we gone to a showing before 3pm it would have been $7. Last time I went to Cobb I paid $16 to see Star Trek. The my have a nice concession area with everything you could want at a movie theatre. We had just had lunch so I only only a large Icee which was $5. Cobb charges closer to $10 for the same thing. They have some coin operated video games for kids to play while waiting for the movie to start. The men's restroom was very clean. The theatres themselves are small in comparison to Cobb or AMC. But it does not hinder the movie watching experience because it is all relative, in fact I found it to be more pleasurable because even though it is smaller it does not get full since not a lot of people go here. This theatre will be my go to place to watch a movie from here on out. Oh, and the seats are the most comfortable movie theatre seats I have ever sat in. They are some type of soft leather and they recline way back. Side note, I don't have kids yet but my wife are I are expecting our first in December. I can only imagine how expensive it must be for a family of four to go watch a move at Dolphin Mall. Between the tickets and concessions you'd easily spend over $100. Give this place a try and I promise you'll spend about half of that. read more

Returned to Lejeune cinema 6 after a few years and was so happy to see all the changes. Everything has been updated. From the carpet in the lobby to the seats in the theater.
