I love that it came with ketchup, ranch, and another sauce for dipping. I ordered the fries from my seat and it was promptly brought to me. This is my favorite theater in the area - I even have another eat-in theater nearer to me and would rather drive to Coconut Grove to go here! Why? You actually get served and waited on if you plan to order drinks/foods and the food is decent quality. They are a bit of a smaller operation, so definitely book your tickets in advance - but they've also recently added one of those theaters where the seats shake in time with the action of the movie. We didn't try the food. The service was fast and friendly for other customers . The screen is a little small. The seat are reclining very comfortable. The theater are small for less than 30 people that is very good you won't have to listen the noise how are eating and drinking other people . They have a nice bar with bar seats and more seats on the side for big parties. The parking with validation is $3.00 during weekdays I don't know how much is on the weekends. Always ask the attendant at the entrance of the parking , because they charge more. Great experience from start to finish! Angelica, is who I spoke to prior to arriving. She was helpful to ensure that the experience would be a pleasant one. Destiny, was the young lady who was at the entrance to the building. She welcomed us with a warm smile and helped with getting to where we needed to get. In the theatre, Linda was our server and she was also great! The food runner was nice and professional and had the food come out in perfect timing and temperature. The churro donut is my favorite. 10/10 every time! Bianca, validated the parking and she was helpful and professional. Service is excellent once you actually sit in a theater seat. You can only sit in a theatre in IF air conditioning is on, if there isn't an emergency to evacuate, or sound is on in the theatre. My friends do like the French fries. And I like the reclining seats. read more

Pros: Cool experience to have dinner while you watch a movie. The recliners were pretty comfortable and having the tray table came in handy too. They have a bottomless popcorn which was plenty for two people. Staff was attentive. Cons: Food was decent but not worth the price tag The theater was a bit dirty. It's been a very long time since I've been to the movies in Coconut Grove. But it was the only showing early enough to fit a quick movie in before family activities. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean everything was and how comfy the seating was also. They all reclined and even had the swing table to hold your food if needed. Service was only a button away at all times. Luckily I had the theater to myself the whole time which was great. And although I didn't order food I did see some truffle parmesan popcorn that looked enticing as well as other non traditional movie food items. Their menu was interesting to say the least. I have to say; this is no ordinary theater. There was a greeter upon our entrance to the theater for the premier, and popcorn was pre set at each comfy leather seat. The bar and bartenders are also great, they have tasty food and amazing ambience; what a fun experience! read more

WOW this has changed my perspective of movie theaters for life. This place has it all, comfort, seclusion, delicious snacks/food, and great service! The chairs are so big and cozy, not only that but you have ur own little table and lamp! and some seats are even separated from the full row so its like you have a little room to yourself. The popcorn is HUGEEE!!! and so flavorful. We also tried the wings and chicken tenders. The tenders are a classic, 10/10. The wings were not the best but overall this place was so amazing. It is quite pricey I will say! but honestly its worth it for how great this place is. How it works is you get in, and on the side of the chair theres a button that you press any time you need service. DO YOU LIKE MOLD AND MILDEW? Because this place has that galore. Either there was a roof leak that was left unattended, or they turn off the AC at night. Either way, a thick, pungent mycotic smell permeated theater 3 the other night when we went to see Frankenstein. It was a limited engagement, if not I would have left and asked for a refund. Super disappointed after my experience this past Saturday night. This was my husband and I's favorite theater until this weekend. First, the lights were on at the beginning of the movie, my husband's seat was broken and he could not recline his chair or even put it upright. When we notified the staff they did not do anything to help us. We ordered food and we got it fine, and then I ordered a dessert and a refill of my drink. Near the end of the movie everyone was handed their checks and we got ours, but we had not received the dessert yet, and we asked the server to remove the dessert from our check since we had not received it yet, and she took the check and when she gave it back she basically threw the receipt on our tray table. Very very disappointed especially since this is the closest theater to us, but we will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

I do not recommend this place. I went last night. We were the first to arrive and ordered through the QR code. When other guests started coming in, a server came and took their order. They all started getting their drinks and popcorn before us. I finally told an employee that we ordered 40 minutes ago and haven't received anything. We finally received our first delivery and it was the wrong drinks. I told the server. About 20 minutes passed and we still didn't receive our drinks. We recently returned to this cinema for the first time since both Cocowalk and this Cinepolis theater underwent major renovations. Based on our experience here, I don't think we'll be returning. This place currently has an overall average rating of 3 stars which is a bit generous IMO, and the business name "Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas" is misleading as there's really nothing "luxurious" about the experience there. We really like CMX cinemas in Brickell where they offer a similar experience with fully reclining seats and dining and beverage service available to patrons during the movie. We were expecting the same quality of food and overall experience here at Cinepolis in Coconut Grove based on the descriptions on their website, but Cinepolos offers a really substandard menu and experience in comparison. The first strike against this place was the ticket prices. We came here on a Monday night, and tickets for the 2 of us to see a movie with tax came to almost $39. CMX is much more reasonably priced, for a much better experience. We then saw descriptions on Cinepolis' website of "restaurant-quality cuisine" from a "gourmet, chef-driven menu". When we got to the cinema and downloaded the menu using the QR code, we saw burgers, sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs and wings. That's not "gourmet"; That's pub fare at best. At CMX Brickell they truly have decent cuisine including higher-end restaurant quality appetizers, steak and pan seared fish dishes. Here at Cinepolis, in spite of their description, they have what is barely a step above bar food. When we tried to order a bottle of red wine, of the 8 or 9 bottles listed on the menu, they only had 2 available. The rest were out of stock. Nice. The tray attached to my seat had streaks of grease on it from previous patrons so cleanliness may be a concern here. When they brought our wine, the server plopped the bucket down and walked away. It was a bucket with barely any ice, the wine and 2 glasses inside. We had to open it and serve ourselves. When the food finally came after a long wait, it was sad. My husband's quesadilla was overly spicy. My fish and chips (see photo) consisted of 3 greasy pieces of deep fried fish, a handful of fries and a "to go" serving cup of tartar sauce. No ketchup for the fries and when the server sat my food down, the fish and fries slid around on the plate which was covered in grease. In all, a pretty sad experience, which vastly pales in comparison to the description on the Cinepolis website which describes gourmet menus. For his quesadilla, my fish and a bottle of wine, the total came to $85 and change before tip. Not worth it for the food quality or the service level. Next time we'll be heading back to CMX where the movie tickets are more reasonably priced and the food is worlds better than what we were offered here at Cineopolis. Don't fall for the descriptions on the website; they're grossly inflated IMO. read more

This was a nice theater! The seats weren't torn up, but I did have something sticky on my seat and there was a lot of popcorn lodged in the cracks. We didn't try anything on the menu, but there are a ton of restaurant options in the grove to walk to before your movie. I also wanted to give a big shoutout to Amanda B! My friend and I were struggling with moviepass and she stepped in and alleviated the madness. She turned what was about to be a negative experience into a positive one! (The issue wasn't due to Cinepolis; moviepass needs to work out their kinks) But it was super cool of Amanda to help us when she could've just said "not Cinepolis problem, call moviepass" DEFINITELY GIVE HER A RAISE!! read more

What a disaster this place, I came to an afternoon showing of the thunderbolts and mid movie the screen just shuts off and the lights turns on like the movie was over. Not until we got out and let them know what was going on they came in and started working on it, and for a long time I may add. Finally when the showing resumed it had no audio and it started from the beginning of the movie instead than from when we left off. Some body said it was a power outage but the lights were never affected. I think it is just incompetence or human error. Also if you rely on those push for service buttons on your seat, you will die of hunger, because they either don't work or they just ignore them. I am still here 30 mins after and the movie has not yet restart. We are rewatching the previews and...with no audio for the third time in a row. Luxury theaters my behind! read more

We had a great experience seeing a movie here! The staff was very friendly and everything was clean/looked nice. The menu was decent-sized and they had a large drink selection. While we didn't opt-in for any food this time, the pizza that the couple next to us got smelled and looked so good! I ordered a beer, and it was brought out about 10 minutes later, during the trailers and did not interrupt my movie experience. Reclining seats were awesome and the armrest in between the two seats goes up, so you can get closer to your seat-mate, if you choose. The only thing that would've made it perfect would've been complimentary blankets! (Totally understand how unfeasible that is in COVID-times, though). We will be back! read more

Today, I watched Lilo & Stitch with my grandchildren. My hearing is not very good, so I asked for their closed caption device. The manager couldn't get it to work and told me that the movie didn't come with captions. The device said it couldn't connect. The trailer has captions/subtitles. I find it hard to believe that this major Disney release didn't come with captions. I have never been told this before at other theaters. Worst movie experience I've ever had. We got to the theater 30 minutes early so we could get settled in and order food. We get to our seats and the row hasn't been cleaned yet, there's plates and empty cups everywhere. I find a staff member and mention the situation to her, she couldn't be more disinterested. It took 15 minutes for someone to stop by and clean up, and they actually didn't "clean". They just picked up the plates, there was still popcorn on the our chairs. Whatever, we just brushed them off and tried to make the best of it. We order the food and 50 minutes later, it's nowhere to be found. I had to miss the movie, go out and find our waiter. It was obvious that he forgot to place the order, what pissed me off was that he said the food was "still cooking". An hour and 15 minutes for nachos? They finally bring out the food, and of course they didn't bring me the correct order. By that point I gave up, they ruined the whole experience. "Luxury" - Miamis' code word for overpriced. The only luxury elements are the seats (assuming you get one that does work and reclines) and food delivered to you seats (which I can not rate as the kitchen was out due to storm and power outage- out of their control). Opportunity for improvement; The service was subpar-received popcorn with no napkins, some of the staff appeared in bad mood or acted like they didn't want to be there. My menu was dirty as was the table and cup holders. The alcoholic drinks (as typical in Miami) tasted ok but there was no alcohol (vodka) in mine. The screen was small and lacked that "luxury" experience. Slapping the word "luxury" in your name caries an expectation of quality, consistency and experience- none of which exist here. This is just another movie theater to watch new releases but don't come with any expectations of quality or luxury. read more

In a world where $30 is the new $10, my ladyfriend and I have been reluctant to splurge on extracurricular activities recently. Dale Zine® hired me to do a Yelp review of the new Garfield movie, so I thought what better place to see it than the legendary Cocowalk® cinema, now known as the Cinépolis® which is bougie speak for "movie theatre." The Grove has changed pretty drastically since the salad days I remember mataperreando through the streets as a carefree jit in the early 90's. No more Johnny's Rockets, no more Hooters. I bought my first cassette, Faith No More's The Real Thing, at the second floor Specs in Cocowalk®, took a photo with a snake, and watched some hippie spray paint planets in the street; all in one night! I overheard a guy with pink lights under his car call his girlfriend "dog." The Bong shop Yuckys is now called Luckys®, the Little Big Store and Yaga are gone. I think Condomania® is still there. I remember seeing such classics as Half Baked and Blair Witch Project at this same cinema. Gone are the ticket servants of yesteryear, replaced now by machines. They have a full bar and restaurant there, plus servants that will bring food and drinks right to your seat whilst you watch the movie by pushing a button. To quote Jello Biafra®, "Give me convenience or give me death." My ladyfriend ordered an $11 bowl of popcorn. Garfield is about an overweight, dairy-obsessed talking cat, who after being abandoned by his deadbeat father on the streets, finagles his way into the home of a privileged white man named Jon who never works but has an endless budget for Italian cuisine through Uber Eats. This new film traces the lineage of Garfield's upbringing and relationship with his estranged father who fell on hard times amidst a life of crime stealing milk. A cinematic melange of comedy, drama, and action make for a pleasant movie-going experience for both the youthful and the aging. My ladyfriend and I were the only people in the sold out theatre who were not young, rich parents with children. PRO TIP: sit all the way at the front to spare yourself from having to watch disgusting humans stuff their faces with delicious yellow chemical sludge drenched popcorn.
