My coworker told me about this place, and i am glad I went. Kim does great fills! The lady who did my pedicure did a pretty good job as well. i also got my bangs cut, by someone else. The place is small but clean. The ladies are nice, and prices are reasonable. It is hard to find a great nails spot. This place shares the parking lot with Salsa and Beer, so depending on what time you go parking can be tough. I will definitely be back. :) read more

Avoid at all costs. I had been here several years ago for hair cuts and they were just okay, so I found someone else. My hairdresser then quit and I decided to try Sima again. I called them to find out how much they charged for a Brazilian blowout for long thick hair. They quoted me $250, so I asked if they would have availability Saturday or Sunday of the current week or the following. The receptionist asked if I had been there before and if I could come during the week instead. I was a bit surprised that she had the audacity to ask me to come in on a different day when I offered 4 possible dates. As I previously mentioned I have long hair which takes about 3-4 hours to process (and have a full time job that doesn't allow for much else during the week). She explained that they get very busy on weekends and if they agreed to see me then they would lose out on clientele. This should have been an obvious indicator to avoid this place, but I was desperate. I got there and I waited about 15 minutes bc I had an appointment with Sima, and apparently she was still busy so her daughter started washing my hair. I was under the impression that Sima would actually do my hair but her daughter mixed the product and started sloppily applying directly onto my scalp. Anyone who has ever had or done a Brazilian blowout should know that it's a strong product full of formaldehyde that should absolutely not be applied to the scalp. She then used a paddle brush to spread the chemical. She pushed hard and deep into my scalp. When she started blow drying she immediately began complaining about the odor and put on a mask and put on a fan for herself. 30 minutes later she finally asked if I was ok with the strong odor. Although Sima finished up after the second wash, the damage was done. I was in immense pain from the chemical seeping into my skin from the intense brushing, and my scalp began peeling in chunks the size of fingernails. These people are rude, not properly trained or worth it. They ended up charging me $280 and I will never return. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!! I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance and showed up to my appointment 15 min earlier the day of. After waiting 30 min ( I was early 15min so this was 15 passed my appointment time) a lady comes to me and tells me that one of their regular customers had requested for her nails to be done and that this would push my appointment time to a bit later. I told her that I had an appointment and her response was "I'm sorry, but she's a regular". These people do not honor appointments to new customers!!!! I visited them on Saturday, I had an appointment with Nelly and she did a Brazilian Blow out and a hair cut. My hair was really damaged because of highlights and had split ends all over. My mom, sister, nieces, and I have been coming to Sima's Hair Studio for eight years and we love it! Sima and her daughter Marine take the best care of our hair. I regularly get Brazilian blowouts, and my hair has never been healthier or grown so fast. My mom, who is very particular, only trusts her hair to Sima. I came here to get my eyebrow's threaded, I usually go elsewhere but I was looking for a place closer to home. Now my two star rating is because of the service, not because of Nabila's work. She did a good job, but could improve on customer service. I felt so unwelcomed when I walked into the Salon. I had called earlier and Nabila told me it was ok for me to come in within 10 minutes. When I entered the salon, there was no greeting, and Nabila actually walked right by me where I was sitting waiting and proceeded to speak to one of the other ladies. I didn't know it was her since it was my first time, but just from how she carries herself and since she completely took zero notice that there was someone sitting there waiting when she was expecting me, I figured she wasn't Nabila. I finally got up and asked one of the nail techs and they pointed to Nabila. I approached her and told her that I was there for threading and with an extremely bored expression, barely turning around to greet me, told me to go sit in the chair. On top of that, she smokes, and that smell was all that I was inhaling as she worked. I've been going to Sima's since it opened and could not be happier. The customer service is excellent, as well as the quality of the work done. I normally go to Kim for my nails and she's amazing :) Sima and the rest of the team are friendly and make me feel super welcome. My one complaint is that of the lady who does eyebrows - completely rude, total disregard for others' feelings, and just overall a disrespectful person and I have never even been one of her clients! Sima's is a very good hair salon for our family. Sima and her daughter always make sure to welcome us, listen carefully to our hair care needs, performs a terrific cut & color, and sometimes even gives us a cookie as we wait! She is patient with elderly people too. My ninety-three year old grandmother comes in for her wash & set and feels heard and cared for with kindness. (It is difficult to find a stylist who doesn't just blow her hair out and curl it with a curling iron. The set lasts longer and she prefers the tighter curls.) We are very grateful for Sima's patience and expertise. She works diligently to make sure we are satisfied each and every time we come in for a service. read more

I came here to get my very long hair cut on July 4th weekend, just days before starting a new job. The cut looked fine on the chair but felt a little uneven when I tried styling. It wasn't until the next day, when my hair had fully settled into the cut, that I noticed all the layers were *completely* crooked. As if a blindfolded toddler who just discovered scissors chopped it all up. It was a Sunday on a holiday weekend, so no one was available to fix it. The following day was July 4, then my first day at the new job. So I walked into a supercuts and paid for a second cut. My hair, which I already felt had gotten too short, got chopped some more. Sima's is down to earth, friendly and the only place I go for my hair cut. Sima is the only hairdresser I have had that listens to what I want and does it. I have to completely disagree with you Harpy S... you sound pretty angry and biased in my opinion. I think Narbila is the best eyebrow threader i have ever found which is why I still go to her to do my eyebrows. To be honest I wish I knew about her earlier; she does eyebrows like nobody else and has great hands that other people cannot match. Who cares if she smokes a cigarette on her break, last I checked this was a free country and you are allowed to smoke outdoors genius. I would definitely recommend Narbila for eyebrows, and you won't find that kind of quality job for the price anywhere else. Sweet place for hair & nails, but don't dare go to the waxing lady. She uses cheap product and tends the make eyebrows too thin.

Sima is really nice it was very good the first two times it was great the third time it was a little worse but it was still great.

The new girl who does eyebrows Nibila is absolutely unprofessional and disgusting. She smokes outside the salon with a glove on And then comes inside to thread her customers face. When I asked her to wash her hands she refused saying she wore a glove. She told me that I used to come to her previous dirty location so it's ok. And then she continued to do my brows, while I sat there quietly while her hands reeked of cigarettes. I had made up my mind not to return. However she had the audacity to call and tell me I was no longer a client- when I told her that I wasn't planning on returning. So she went on a rant how i lived in India which is a country where people spit Tabasco and poop on the streets. Excuse me? She charges double everyone and provides such horrible service. Nabila's been my hairdresser since 2000 and her work cannot be compared to anyone else. I got a haircut and styled earlier today and it's still holding the volume and the light curls. The reason I mention this is because my hair is really silky and it's very hard to hold curls. She's simply Amazing in what she does. Sima's Hair Studio is the best! I went in without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon (Walk-ins are welcome) and was in Maro's chair in less than 5 minutes! I was then treated to one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Maro has about 20 years of experience cutting hair and it shows! She is a true professional. She took her time and kept checking with me on how I was liking the haircut. She has an arsenal of tools at her disposal and explained what each of them was used for and how it was going to improve the haircut. I walked out feeling like a million bucks but didn't have to pay a fortune. In fact the price was beyond reasonable for the service I received! It came complete with coffee and pastries!
