Dr Oswaldo Rodriguez is the worst doctor I have ever had to see. He is constantly late- 35 minutes &. I always arrive on time. I have left work EARLY and waited 40 minutes; that is my limit. I left. This happened 2 times in a row. My third visit he was only 20 minutes late. He is pathetic. He had not seen me in 2& years, and walked in without even glancing at me. He knows nothing about my health issues after 2& years. He spoke poorly of another one of my Dr's. That I will not stand for. I will never see him again. I asked, and will receive, a new GP. Having an appointment doesn't mean anything. I checked in around 8:57am my appointment is at 9:00am. It is now 9:52am and I still haved been seen. (I am in a room) has been for about 28 minutes. I arrived at Simed Health Imaging on July 9th 2026 in Gainesville Fl, at my scheduled appointment. I signed in and proceeded to wait in the lobby. After waiting for an hour without being called, I approached the front desk to inquire about the delay. It was only then that the attendant asked if I had received a notification regarding a cancellation. When I informed her that I had not, she stated that the technician was not in today. I am deeply frustrated that I was left sitting in the room for an hour without being informed of this situation. This should have been communicated to me upon arrival. As I was driving to my appointment I got an appointment reminder that said it was in Gainesville, an hour away. Then they sent me a bill for $50 for not driving to Gainesville. I tried to call and clear up the confusion but they rarely answer the phone and if they do that person won't be able to help you. You might get someones voicemail, but they won't call you back. I have been going to SIMED for many years starting with Dr. Lloyd for my arthritis. I started seeing Dr. Elder for my general practitioner. I really like both Doctors. I have now been visiting with Jordan Cunningham out of Dr.E's office. She's wonderful and very through during my visits. Can't complain about the staff and I get seen quickly and get back into exam rooms in minutes. Since many of my surgeries were done at Shands I felt it might be a good idea to see a general practitioner within Shands. I was sent to see Dr. Shamrock in Haile Plantation. I won't go into the details but after 3 appointments I knew he was not going to be any help! When he gave me a referral to see a Dr at SIMED, I knew it was a sign from above to dump him and go back to the Docters there. It's been great since then! read more

When I called and asked to speak to a supervisor because I haven't received my prescriptions, I was told to find a new doctor and hung up on. It has taken over a month after my appointment to get prescriptions sent to my pharmacy. No apologies just excuses. Also this Jessica on feedback is a joke just trying to pacify you. read more

If I could leave zero for their rheumatology practice I would. Dr. Rozburil is great , the office staff are awful. Never can return calls , messages etc. I've been bedridden, non ambulatory for 2 months , I called to reschedule my appt and was told 3 months but they wouldn't refill any scripts until then. I can't be without them. I've been seeing him for 8 years and have never missed an appt and now I need to figure out how to get 2 hours to the appt because , yes, when we moved to Orlando I chose to keep seeing the doc because I like him. Unfortunately, I strongly advise avoiding SIMEDHealth, and specifically avoiding Larissa Lim's primary care team. The standard of care I received from this team was the absolute worst I've experienced to date, across providers and medical complexes. While my one-on-one experiences with the doctor were not unpleasant, I often felt she was a bit short and brushed off some of my health concerns. The more serious issue was the incompetence and dismissive attitudes among the office staff, including the medical assistant Bri/Bree, who was aggressively rude to me on several occasions as I advocated for a basic level of care. The team communicated poorly both by phone and via online portal, making it feel impossible to get my concerns addressed in a timely and effective manner. I also feel that this staff grossly mishandled a situation regarding a prescription and necessary prior authorization, resulting in over ten hours of phone calls and four weeks of repeat messages to the doctor before I was able to obtain the prescription I needed. Overall, I urge you to look elsewhere for a care team. The staff were consistently rude and even blatantly disrespectful. For LGBTQ+ folks, I especially do not recommend this center or team, as I feel the team lacked considerate, inclusive care. I strongly recommend avoiding SIMEDHealth and Larissa Lim's practice if you can. read more

I would like to make a formal complaint against Dr. Larissa Lim. She was covering for Dr. Timothy Elder, who is my mothers GP, during the time my mother, Marie Joey Owen, was in the hospital at North Florida Regional, dates: March 10 - 21, 2023. Dr Lim was discharged by me before March 21 because of her demeanor and incompetence, inhumane attitude and lack of compassion. My mother passed away in hospice on March 21, 2023. My mother was admitted to North Florida Regional Hospital the night of Friday, March 10, from the ER, after her oncologist, Dr. Andres Bhatia, suggested she go for labs and fluids. We knew my mother had terminal cancer, colon cancer had spread to her lungs, liver, and bones, but she was waiting on the results of test Dr. Bhatia had sent off that could qualify her for a next generation treatment. This test took 2 weeks for results. Those were 2 agonizing, exhausting weeks. Weeks that my mother had bravely and courageously decided she would endure if it meant more time. Before going to the ER Friday march 10, my mother just wasn't feeling good, she had no appetite, and decided to call Dr. Bhatia. She ended up being admitted to the hospital from the ER because of possible pneumonia, fluid on the lung, and a heart enzyme in her bloodwork. The first morning in the hospital, Saturday, March 11, Dr. Lim came to my mothers room, didn't come in, stood in the hallway at the door, seeming as if she was in a hurry, informed us she was covering for Dr. Elder, mom's GP, who was out of town. My mother and I asked Dr. Lim if she knew anything new about my mother's condition,lab work, fluid on the lung, heart enzyme in her blood, pneumonia. Dr. Lim glanced at her chart, and in so many words said, what are you doing here? "Your cancer, everything you have going on in your body, is causing your symptoms." The impression we got from her was, go home and die, I don't have time for you! My mother and I were floored with Dr. Lim's disrespect, demeanor, lack of concern, lack of compassion. That was one of the many nails put in my mother's coffin during this hospital stay at North Florida Regional. And, as I mentioned before, we knew mom was terminal and her days were limited. We waited all day for an EKG that was ordered and never received The next morning, Sunday, March 12, my mother went into AFIB. Because of the special AFIB medicine the Rapid Response team had to give mom, she needed to go to a cardiac floor, but there was no room. Instead she was taken to ICU. Our family met her in ICU where the drs told us she didn't look good, her AFIB could not be controlled, it might be time to consider end of life protocol. She needed to be made comfortable. In the mean time, we had not seen or heard from Dr. Bhatia, the oncologist, even though mom had been on the cancer floor, and obviously was a cancer patient. Dr. Lim came by, did not come in or talk to us. She stayed outside the ER room's glass doors. Skip ahead a day, mom is doing better and hanging on, and can't be kept in ICU, so she is returned to the cancer floor. That day I finally called the Cancer Center there at the medical compound at North Florida, and demanded to speak with Dr. Bhatia. I told his nurse that mom had been a patient of his since 2007, how could he not know she was in the hospital, knowing the condition she was in, that Dr. Bhatia might want to know that mom had been in the hospital for 3+ days and was on end of life care. I told the nurse that my mom loved Dr. Bhatia and felt very let down and abandoned by Dr. Bhatia. Mom was on morphine and anxiety medicine to be kept comfortable. That same day our family was all there in the room with mom, and we were in a quandary because mom was starting to be more alert and showing interest in trying to live. We were discussing different hospice options. Dr Bhatia shows up! He informs us he had not been notified that mom was in the hospital. He seemed rather rattled and confused that we felt he had abandoned our mother. He mentions, by the way, that the test results for the next generation treatment had come in that Saturday, which had been moms first full day in the hospital (this is now the following Monday)and she was a candidate for the next generation treatment!!! Why hadn't he called with those results as soon as he received them??!! This was life or death. Now we are switching gears. Dr. Bhatia informs us that mom can't do the treatment while staying in the hospital. Mom would now need physical therapy to get strong enough to go home. Dr. Bhatia also said he would order a lung drain to help with all the pressure on her heart and give her some relief. Mom would have to stop the morphine and anxiety medicine. Dr. Lim had not been back to check on mom since Sunday in ICU. While Dr. Bhatia was in the room, I decided to let him know how disappointed we were about Dr. Lim and explained how she had treated mom. enough struggle. The next morning Dr. Li read more

Regarding the problem of gate-keeping, to determine the scope of the problem and the where this breakdown is occurring, they need to be notified, and using your name and phone number, they can identify this. The COO stated in one of our discussions that specific information is needed. This is being looked at for me, but I also feel like this is an opportunity to help improve care for patients who have had difficulty with messages/voicemails not being returned, or being unable to speak to their provider. Anyone who is willing, I would encourage you to email SIMED at feedback.simedhealth.com, and let them know you would like this looked into. If you would like, you can DM me and let me know if you did, and what response you get. I want this addressed for everyone, not just for me individually. If you would like, also mention that this is in relation to this Yelp review, specifically about unanswered messages and calls. I'm hoping that if we have enough people do this, we can help fix this problem. Not good is a generous rating here. Massively horrible and don't seem to understand certain parts of HIPAA. In general, the doctors are hit or miss. I've had some great ones, and some that are horrible. There are three significant problems I have had in dealing with SIMED. The first issue concerns their policy of not transferring care from one doctor to another in the same specialty. I had a horrific appointment with a specialist, and SIMED refused to let me change doctors to one of the two who had been recommended by my rheumatologist. Second, SIMED is incredibly opaque, and are the most egregious gatekeepers between physicians and patients at any practice that I have ever been a patient at. All communication happens with administration, and they decide what gets sent to the doctor. Even asking for medical assistants (as was recommended to me to make sure a message got through to the provider) still had to go through the administrative staff. Preventing patients from having adequate access to a physician (through nurse or medical assistant), is bad patient care. Third, in light of multiple recent negative experiences with SIMED, I requested copies all of my medical records at SIMED just over a month ago (that they cannot refuse me because of HIPAA). I have not received them yet (either in person or by mail), nor have I received written notification of why there is a delay in getting them to me. Attempting to contact someone in administration about medical records has proven impossible. There is no contact information for Medical Records on their website, nor is it in the main or administrative phone trees. I tried calling several administration departments to see if I could find someone to get me to Medical Records. Each of the administrative departments I contacted rang through to voicemail during business hours. Clinic staff at various specialty clinics also have been unable to tell me how to track this department down. TLDR: you'll never get to talk to your provider, you can't change doctors in the same specialty, and they fail to comply with HIPAA requirements regarding getting copies of your medical records. If you can actually see or talk to someone they have a few good doctors. However, as noted in other reviews administration and office employees often leave a lot to be desired. I called my pain management doctor around 3PM because i was in a lot of pain. If course, i got a recording. Never got an RX and no call back. I just wanted to write this note Because I'm extremely unhappy about the way we have been treated by Simed medical office. As long time customers, (over 12 years) I would think that they would value their customers! Boy, was I wrong! Last year our long time doctor retired, we picked another doctor from the Simed office and made appointments to see him as usual. When we got close to our appointment we were notified that our appointment was changed. And that was a problem, because we had made our travel arrangements and other appointments, relying on our doctors appointment time and date. When we arrived at the Simed office we were informed that we were NOT going to have a visit with our new doctor, we were going have to meet with a nurse practitioner first. And my wife was informed that she owed approximately $100. Which was NOT covered by our insurance company, for this visit. Which we paid only because we wanted to get our yearly check up. We met with this nurse practitioner, and we were very unhappy with the visit! So we had to make another appointment to meet with our new doctor. This visit was months later because we had to return to our which is far from our doctors office. NOW I'm receiving bills because of this unnecessary visit, with a person that was NOT our doctor and I did NOT want to see! This unnecessary visit is apparently NOT covered by our insurance. I have had the same insurance as long as I have had Simed as my medical provider. We were happy with the doctors visit, but I am confused why I was charged $195. And my wife was charged less than $100. I have discussed this with the office and accounting department at length. I was told by my insurance company that it was a billing coding problem, and that it could be corrected by changing the code by the Simed office. When I told the Simed office that, they said that they were NOT going to be changing the billing code, and that I would need to pay their bill. As far as I can tell Simed doesn't care about the problem, or us as customers! And they are just going to continue to try and extort me for this unnecessary medical charge! After finally speaking with the regional manager and explaining to her my problem she agreed that the charge was not appropriate and said that she would take care of it. A month after she said that she would remove the charge, I was informed by a collection agency that Simed sent my invoice to collections and I was going to have to pay or else risk ruining my good credit rating! So I see other reviews on here are not so great, but my experience with this urgent care was actually really positive. First off, everyone was really friendly in general. Second, I was happy about the level of precaution they are taking to maintain social distancing and cleanliness at this time. And thirdly, they were very helpful to me. I needed a chest x-ray for TB screening and for one reason or another, I was having a hard time getting one at other urgent cares. I began going to SIMED years ago when Dr. Warrick joined the company. For years this was a very good place to go for very good treatment. BUT, no longer! The past few years have been the worst. The worst part of all this is getting billed extra for a procedure after being quoted the cost by the simed doctor's office. It just happened again, for the third time... It took over a year to get the extra cost sent to me. To get an explanation, well, that has been next to impossible. What I have learned is that there is no appeal process with SIMED, there is no way to discuss the bill, in fact all a person can do is talk with someone in billing who has no knowledge of the procedure and no ability to consider what happened. This review concerns Dr Larissa Lim who has been my PCP for 10 years. At first I surmised her physician demeanor was just all business, but over the years Dr Lim has been rude and recently she medically gaslighted me. A physician should never tell the patient to stop going to the ER and stop going to the hospital. She said today in a bullying manner that if I did not stop going to the ER for my alpha gal anaphylactic type reactions that we were going to have to part ways. I got up in a bust of tears and hobbled out of her office. I mentioned her behavior to 2 other medical Drs and both were shocked at her dismissive abusive bullying manner towards me. Their policy regarding entry screening is too restrictive. Their screening process prevents care partners from joining their partner with the physician. There is no mechanism for the physician to address care partner questions. Poor planning, poor implementation, poor service. Additionally, their Gainesville location parking lot has steep grades and makes post-operative followups for patients with ambulatory restrictions difficult to navigate. read more

I went to the Urgent Care Clinic for a pre-employment screening (physical, drug test, TB test). I had made an appointment for 1:00pm and arrived 15 minutes early and was checked in. I waited 1.5 hours to see a nurse and then another 15 minutes to see a doctor. All for which the doctor, he never told me his name, asked about how previous medical history and explained my conditions his response was "god DAMN". Completely unprofessional and a disregard for patient's time. There were many patients that went up to the desk to ask about waiting in which, Jennifer M. I have been with Simed for almost two years. I like my doctor, but the organization is terrible! They continually try to bill me improperly and I have spent so much time on the phone with their billing dept. and my insurance company to sort out their bills. They had overbilled me $75 on my first or second visit, and after many phones calls, it took them over a year to reimburse me. Today was the final straw. I made an appt to get a Covid test, which is 100% covered by my insurance. When I got there this morning they said it was an urgent care visit and insisted I pay the copay for an urgent care visit. I declined and made my appt. with Walgreens. Besides their rip-off policy, they could have at least told me this when I made the appt. I am done with Simed!!! read more
