Sonia was amazing with my girls who are 3 & 5! My 3yr old has hard time at the dentist and Sonia put her at ease and was so sweet & patient.

I found it odd that in the middle of our first appointment they hounded me to leave a review before we had experienced the actual work. Now I'm wondering how many of these reviews are legitimate. I do have to say that everyone is very nice and the office itself is really cool & perfect for keeping kids entertained, but I am not satisfied at all with the way this situation was handled. My son needed a cavity filled & today we went in for the appointment and frustrated is an understatement. I had told them from the beginning that my son would definitely need to be sedated, but they insisted that they at least try to do it without that first. This ordeal was MUCH more involved than they prepared me for. My son had to stop eating at midnight last night. Our appt was at 9am & we had to wait another hour for the medication they gave him to kick in. Much later, the dentist comes out & said they weren't able to finish because he was moving too much. I have two big issues with what happened 1. She still drilled the tooth some so now (& we are experiencing it already) the tooth is MUCH more sensitive to food touching it. I don't understand why she would begin drilling if he was moving already. 2. She told me that if she couldn't repair the tooth she would pull it since it's a baby tooth, but she did not. I was also not prepared for him being numb after & what that would look like exactly. He has completely chewed his cheek despite constant efforts of telling him not to. They told me to give him a popsicle relieve the pain but it's both sugary and cold which is really painful on his tooth. Now we can't be seen until Nov 17th, I have no idea how we could possibly make it that long with a tooth this sensitive. It's now been 13 hours since he could eat anything, & our attempt just now did not go well. I wish they would have either sedated him like I asked or pulled the tooth like she said she would after going through all of this effort and pain. This is a disaster. read more

Love it and recommend them to everyone. My daughter has special needs with sensory issues and brushing her teeth was a bit of a struggle but let me tell you she let's them floss her and do the cleaning. My kids have gone here for years. My littlest has had dentist fear from day one!! Even when she is usually screaming and crying they take there time to explain treatment and let her feel as comfortable as possible. She just recently turned 3 and today had a routine dental check up and cleaning, as always they were amazing. They whole staff is so patient and help the kids feel special and fearless. From the moment we walk in and the front desk staff say hello a wave of calm came over her, everything was explained to her in kid friendly tones and names for the tools they are using. With fears and worries of COVID-19 they have a whole order to things that make you feel safe and the environment is still kid friendly. I know my kids wont have the same fear of the dentist that I had growing up and the positive experience is something that I truly appreciate. read more

my 4 years old daughter had a very bad experience at a different dental office, thankfully my friend recommended Doctor Nina. My 4 years old had to get 2 fillings done. because of the previous bad experience at a different dental office my daughter was very afraid of going to the dentist. To my surprise, my daughter was so happy to go to Simi Childrens Dental Group. Doctor Nina and her assistant and also Sonia the dental hygienist kept my daughter calm during the whole procedure. I was so chocked how comfortable my 4 years old was during getting fillings done. Doctor Nina is so nice with infants, toddlers and all age kids. My 4 year old had his first appointment here and loved it. The inside of the office looks like a spaceship. They have lots of amenities to keep kids either distracted or comfortable knowing that going to the dentist can be scary for some kids. They were very gentle and sweet. This was my sons first time at the dentist. I was immediately greeted by the front desk who gave me paperwork to fill out and answered any and all of my questions didn't even wait 10 min when they took us back to the coolest dentist office I had ever seen made to look like a space ship with different color lights through the hallways, computer games in the waiting rooms we were very well taken care of my son got x rays cleaning mixed with stickers a new toothbrush and a new understanding of why it is so important to brush your teeth. I wish I found this Pediatric Dental Office sooner! My family and I recently moved to Simi Valley 3 years ago and have been to 2 other Dental office in the area which didn't even come close to the level of service we got from Simi Children's Dental Group. I felt compelled to leave a 5-star review (I honestly would give them more than 5 stars if I could) because they really do deserve it. The staff is friendly and the office itself is amazingly decorated and looks just like a spaceship inside. My 3 young kids loved it! As soon as we entered, we were greeted. Everyone in the office made us feel welcomed and even gave us a tour of the office. My family and I really enjoyed it. Sonia cleaned my daughter's teeth. She is very kind, patient, and made my daughter feel comfortable. Her people skills are awesome! Dr. Nina is amazing as well! She took the time to explain everything to my husband and I.
