The last time I visited there was a different receptionist than normal. I paid in cash for services rendered. Either they have poor record keeping or the receptionist stole the money. They called and sent numerous letters. I explained to them I paid the $100 at the time of service. They sent the $100 to collections and it impacted my credit. Do not pay them in cash as they may misplace your payment and insist you pay again or threaten to send you to collections over a $100.

While several staff members still provide a positive in office experience, they're also seem to be a change; this requires them to work within new office parameters As a longtime customer, I've found its time to look elsewhere for my dental health needs; I've already found a new practice by the way. I've been seriously hurt from a tooth extraction that became infected! Appointment mix ups were too common, with me having to make several adjustments just to complete my treatment. Communicating with the dentist wasn't as productive as I would have liked. He spoke at me and not to me, as if there was somewhere else, he needed to be and this was the case for each of our encounters! While I'm not a fan of the dentist, i understand how important one's dental health is and with that in mind, you should find a place that respect you, your time and especially your money. This isn't a spiteful review from a single visit. I'm a long-time customer who overlooked concerning issues because I just wanted to be done. I didn't want to have to start over again with a different provider but that's what currently happening.

The practice was sold to Simply Beautiful Smiles (and apparently now the Smilist.) At first the highly corporatized organization was acceptable, but I'm beginning to have my doubts. I was told I needed a "deep cleaning" for gum disease, although, having had gum disease at other points in my life, because of poor practices that I improved in response to the disease, I have observed no bleeding when flossing, or sensitivity in recent years. The "deep cleaning" didn't strike me as particularly different than any other cleaning, but it did involve a rather large out of pocket expense, which I paid. I was not told that I now needed to come in - for the rest of my life - every four months, and that I now need to pay for a special cleaning each time I go. I grudgingly paid, but again, it didn't strike me as different than any normal cleaning of the types I've had regularly for my entire adult life. I also had to wait quite a long time in the dental chair to get it; about 40 minutes. It didn't strike me as particularly different than the cleanings I've had over the last 30 years. In fact the hygienist said my teeth and gums looked good. I did not spit out any blood with the cleaning. Before the cleaning, doctor there - there seems to be a different one each time I go - looked in my mouth for about 45 seconds, said I had plaque and needed to come every four months. That was it. This conflicted with the statement made by the hygienist. I'm not confident in what I'm being sold. Unlike earlier years, my teeth never bleed when flossing. I haven't noticed any problems. They have my dental records for 30 years, and I'm not sure how and if these records can be transferred, but I am thinking of getting a second opinion, hopefully at less corporate practice. They have high technology, but I'm not sure if the goal is generating revenue rather than providing good or excellent patient care.

In my past, I had many experience of tooth extraction which were not much painful, but this time was different. The oral surgeon was Dr Brian who did at The Smilist office (or The Simply Beautiful Smiles of Lawrenceville). If it is so much painful because of its location or some reason, it should be done at whole body anesthesia or having sedation pill or something effective one.

She told me how gentle and caring he and his staff were. I made an appointment and Dr, Shyne fixed the problem tooth and also took care of my other neglected choppers. If it wasn't for him and his staff I would probably have been toothless by now. (and eating creamed corn) The office is not a massive cold factory feeling place it is a nice sized almost cozy office that has the latest technologies and tools. (Dr. Shyne is quite the techno geek) If you have not been to a dentist for a while or if you are afraid of dentists you MUST go to Dr. Shyne. He treats you like a baby if he sees fear in your eye. (exactly what this 6 foot 6 inch 300 pound baby needs) He is also not judgmental he didn't mock or scold me for not going to a dentist in... 10+ years. ( he did let me know that I should have but at least he didn't call me a fool) He tells you everything he is about to do to you and always asks if you feel any pain.
