If you haven't been to Naan and Beer, drop everything and go. My husband and I had a meal there…read morethat was nothing short of incredible! We kicked things off with the Chicken Samosa with Chaat and--OMG--mind-blowing. It was easily the best I've ever had; if I were forced to pick a favorite from the night, this would be it. We followed that up by splitting the Butter Chicken Fries (pure heaven), the Meat Combo Plate (absolutely packed with flavor), and some perfect Garlic Naan. Honestly, every single bite was a 10/10. To wash it all down, they have a fantastic beer selection with five IPAs on tap. We shared a Reuben's Brews IPA, which was the perfect crisp pairing for the spices. What really made the night, though, was the vibe. Everyone there was so incredibly nice. Our waitress/bartender was so kind and helpful, and even the chef came out to chat with us! It's rare to find that level of hospitality paired with such incredible food. What a wonderful experience!

I don't know which was my favorite: the absolutely silken, delicious Butter Chicken or the prawns. I am kicking myself because I don't know which prawn preparation, but it was recommended by our server and it was fantastic. The prawns were fat and juicy and perfectly cooked and, frankly, I would love them in any of their sauces. The one recommended to us was divine. For my beverage, I tried the lassi--a totally new experience for me. I was forewarned it was a salty flavor. I am not sure I would order one again due to my taste preferences, but I would say the preparation in this restaurant was probably as perfect a one as can be. So if you like lassi or want to try it, I would wholly recommend this one.

Everything you hear about India Grill that isn't a five star surprises me. I'm breaking this down…read morein methods of customer service: Walking in: We were greeted with cups of water. I went with my friend and I for a second time. We requested coke and while asking for ice, we got ice! Next, before they even took our order they gave us a sample of the garlic naan, and it was arguably one of the greatest pieces of bread I've tried. Appetizer: We receive a side of 3 lamb samosas and 3 veggie samosas. No rush then, they didn't interrupt us while we ate like most places. No bugging us about what our entrees would be, just asking if we'd like more drinks to compliment he samosas. Entrees: I ordered the chicken masala and my friend ordered the butter chicken (we're classics). I'm glad we each had one samosa left because dipping it in the food is complimentary as heck. Without us asking, they even gave us two small dishes of rice, with a custom sauce we requested! Finale: I skipped out on dessert, as I have a natural distaste for rice pudding, but I took a spoon, and ate a bite. It's officially the only spot I will eat rice pudding. He said he enjoyed the sweetness and creaminess/texture of the pudding. We each took a sprite home, and the owner brought us our bill without asking. It's as if they know how to naturally treat customers with respect and know what they want. After paying the check and walking out, we were stuffed for the entire day. This was 6:30PM and we left around 8:00PM. Time flies when you're in a great environment. 6/5.

We really liked this place. There wasn't much going on but that just meant we got our food quickly…read more Friendly service. Best Indian food in town!

Being somewhat of an aficionado of the local FT scene, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of this one yet: Mix Masala. Featuring a small-but-mighty menu of classic Indian dishes - like butter chicken, saag panner, pakoras and naan - the smells emanating from this truck were phenomenal. When I saw they had my fave, chicken tikka masala, on the menu I knew I had to order. The owners/staff were so incredibly helpful and friendly (they even said it was okay to take ten billion photos of their truck for my archives), and soon my steaming bowl of tasty goodness arrived while I enjoyed my Wander brew in the beer garden. The tikka masala was perfectly spiced, and the chicken was tender and plentiful. Served with a generous helping of basmati, and including a side of (just one) piece of naan, it satisfied my craving for Indian food and paired surprisingly well with my Uncommon California Common. The tikka sauce was a bit salty for my liking, but not enough to keep me from devouring most of it and taking the rest home to devour later. I'll definitely be looking for this truck again!

Once they were open I ordered pakora as an appetizer and a tikka masala for my main course. The pakora was fantastic. The tikka masala was good. In hindsight I wish I'd ordered saag paneer or chana dal instead, but that will be next time. The owners were friendly and helpful, and when I was told the food would be ready in 6 minutes, they impressed me by having it ready in about 5 minutes and 45 seconds. I will happily buy food from Mix Masala again.
