Simon Z pizza is wonderful! They use all fresh products so the pizza is phenomenal. We made the switch and ordered the Mediterranean meal last week and it was wonderful! The meal came with rice, chicken, beef (maybe lamb), garlic sauce, pita bread and a 2 liter for $29.99. Three of us fed on it for 3 days. We did order an extra hummus and pitas with it. You get the choice of garlic sauce or hummus and we wanted both. We wanted grape leaves but they were out. They are always really good there! Updating previous review. Simon Z's Went downhill fast recently. Went from 5 stars to 1. The new recipe/sauce on pizza is absolutely disgusting, flavorless, worse than cafeteria pizza. Plus it's undercooked. Waiting an additional half an hour longer than when it said it was ready, meanwhile my other food sat there the full 30 mins getting soggy on the counter. Extremely disappointed. Also in front of me the Manager tried arguing saying a customer was wrong about THEIR wait for an order as well! Shameful. Gross. Ordered take out from here after coming out of my work assignment for the day. This is at a gas station in the corner of a major thoroughfare. This place isn't bad. Food was pretty good but a little weird and I will explain. I ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwich and a Chicken Alfredo. The Chicken Alfredo was very good. Very creamy and cheesy. Lots of flavor. The weird thing was the philly cheese. It wasn't on hoagie bread but on bread almost similar to flatbread. It was pretty good but the meat look more like ground meat. I did not taste the cheese in it. Debating if it ever had any but nonetheless it wasn't bad. You can tell me from looking at the pics. Enjoy! read more

After Jet's discontinued their BLT pizza we decided to try Simon Z's. As our neighborhood gas station, we are here often and love their pizza by the slice. However, we discovered that Simon's has much more to offer. Their BLT has become our new favorite, not to mention their Mediterranean menu among everything else. The chicken shawarma is delicious. Pair that with a half pan fattoush salad and you are all set. Simon Z's has a full menu and we are slowly making our way through the entire thing. If you are in the neighborhood I definitely recommend checking out the food while you are there. read more

Tiny hole in the wall place actually located in the back of an Exxon gas station on Newport and telegraph so a lot of people don't really know about it unless they are familiar but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!! I was a little nervous to try this place since it was in a gas station but BOY am I sure glad I did! We ordered a 10pc wing-ring, the deluxe pizza, and cheesecake cones with a total of $30 including a tip, the pizza was phenomenal! The veggies on the pizza weren't soggy, and the pizza was piping hot when we picked up! The wing dings were crispy and perfectly cooked. And of course the cheesecake cone was to die for! This is crazy. Traveling through, stopped for gas At a BP. In the back was a great Take out deli, Greek style. All I can say is maybe the best kept secret in this area. Ordered a beef shawarma. Yes. That is the name. Greek salad. Home made humus. You don't know what you are missing. I'm a crazy busy lady and if I take the time to tell you how awesome this food is, trust me it is. I even bought a top notch Chardonnay at this gas station to add. If you want a quick awesome takeout better than most don't pass this up. Just giving credit where credit is due. read more

I know this is crazy too but we had our 25 th wedding anniversary dinner there. We all got gas on the way home too. What a fun night !

I've driven by this place for the last three yrs. I work mids and it's usually closed or just opening in morning. A couple times when I've worked late and the thought came I stopped by. I got there just as they were loading a pizza rack on the counter. The smell was intoxicating. I grabbed a slice and drove home. 25 minutes later I opened it and bit in. I'm not a fan of most pizza but this was great. Fast forward and my schedule changed temporarily so today 9-6-19 I came by about 4:30 this afternoon . Got an Italian hot sandwich and a fattoush salad. Best sandwich I've had in a while. Seriously. Well prepared, well cooked and well packaged. And what a delight to taste. Good ingredients. You can taste the pride. The fattoush was amazing. The ingredients were fresh. Forgot to mention I watched my order get prepared. It was made at time of order. The salad again was built nicely. The ingredients were nicely placed and it presented itself great. The dressing is great. I could have used more. I'd like a choice between pita chips or croutons myself. I prefer my chips with hummus. I'm sorry to say I didn't take pictures. I had no plans to do a review. I am just that impressed. The store also has a wide variety of merchandise and necessities.
