The technician only completed the inspection inside the house, as the outdoor pipe was frozen due to low temperatures. Despite this, he charged me the full $150 and claimed this was normal, stating that he had 15 other customers in the same situation. He assured me he would contact the agent and schedule another appointment to complete the inspection. Two days later, when the temperature rose above 2°C in the afternoon, I reached out to him to finish the job. Initially, he claimed his camera was broken--clearly an excuse, as he had no intention of returning. I reminded him that the deadline was Tuesday. On Monday, as temperatures continued to rise, I asked again to schedule the remaining inspection. This time, he refused, saying he wasn't sure if the pipe had thawed. When I requested a partial refund, he refused, arguing that I hadn't informed him the pipe was frozen before the appointment--which, of course, I couldn't have known without the inspection itself. Even as the weather improved, he showed no intention of completing the job, simply because he had already been paid.

I have owned my home for fifteen years now, and I've always had issues with my kitchen sink draining slowly from time-to-time. Several different plumbers have taken a look, and they've each offered a solution - snaking, reconfiguring the under-sink plumbing, even installing a very expensive stent. None of the previous plumbers took the time or had the ability to correctly diagnose and completely repair the problem - until Ryan, Michelle, and Larry from Noah's Ark Plumbing & Excavating. When I called Ryan, he responded promptly and put me on the schedule right away. When he was unable to resolve the problem with the equipment that he had on hand, he came out the next day with what was needed. After working diligently, he was not satisfied with the results, so he took the time and applied his expertise to actually diagnose the problem. It turns out that the previous owners hadn't connected the kitchen drain to the sewer line when they converted from septic to city sewage! It was still connected to a poorly draining greywater line. Because my house sits on a slab (no basement, no crawlspace) and because I didn't want to jackhammer up the kitchen floor, Ryan put a lot of effort into identifying the best way to get this challenging job done. Despite the complications, the Noah's Ark team were always polite, professional, and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure that the job would be done correctly at an affordable cost to me. In one day's time, they were able to excavate in my yard as needed to connect my kitchen drain into the public sewer system, and I now have a fully functional kitchen sink drain that should never need more work beyond routine maintenance. Because they did not have to excavate as much as originally estimated, they actually charged me LESS than the original estimate! That's honesty! Did I mention that Noah's Ark guarantees their work for as long as I own my home!? When was the last time you heard that sort of guarantee!? In the process of this project, Ryan also unclogged my laundry room floor drain, and he was ready to re-route it if needed - again exploring intelligent alternatives to excavating through my home's floor. Fortunately, he and Michelle got the job done without having to reconfigure any plumbing. Despite a delay on another client's project, they still made it out to my home on the day they promised, even though it meant working into the evening. The Noah's Ark Plumbing & Excavating team are exceptional. They respond to calls, book appointments in a timely manner, and keep those appointments. The rates are affordable, and even more importantly, they take the time to correctly diagnose the problem and to implement a proper (and guaranteed) solution. Next day machine was coming between 7 am and 7 pm. They showed up at 9 am to help. We have used them many times at my mothers and mother in law's house which are both from the early 1900's. Any problem they have run across (and there were many), they were able to handle easily. I've used this company since the owner was doing calls. They even saved us over 7,000 dollars by running the second sewage line through the basement rather than under the house. They are professional, friendly, and always clean up after themselves. When they say they are going to show, they always make it in the window given. I've even had them remove an old gas line from a chandelier so we could put up a new one (he had to find the ancient parts to use), which he did so promptly and finished the same day.
