I wants to give this place no stars. This place is TRASH! My mother had an appointment for a didactic mammogram with ultrasound that has been scheduled for over a month. When asked if they received everything they needed for the appointment (insurance, doctor's orders, etc) they said she was good to go. On the day of the appointment they charged my mom $200 copay, but told her they could not do the scans because they didnt have her pervious mammogram images. Ok fine, why didnt she mention that back when I asked if they have everything they needed prior to the appointment?! They sent her away and told her they'll call her whenever those medical history requests goes through. They never gave her a refund and it took over 3 weeks for them to call her back. She missed her follow up appointment with her breast cancer doctor because she didnt have any images done and had to reschedule for another month later! After week 2 of waiting she decided to go to another, more reliable and organized imaging site. I called Simonmed's medical and billing for a refund for the $200 copay when no service was done. They gave me a refund, but a month later they recharged her credit card for the $200 without her authorization. I, again, called medical billing twice asking what the charge is for and why she was recharged when no service/orders were completed. Both representatives couldnt give me a straight answer and refused to refund her $200. All I got were ghetto attitudes over the phone! read more

I had 2 exams this week. Mammo and MRI. Had to wait a while for the MRI on Thursday (9/14/17) but that was OK, I am patient and understanding, unlike another patient there that evening. Like it is the fault of the people running the front desk! My review/comment is about the service I received over the phone the next day, today. I had been trying to reach someone in the billing department on the phone. All I got was loop after loop of phone menu options, no matter how many times I chose 0 for operator. I finally just called scheduling. The woman who answered the phone was so nice, so understanding and she went out of her way to assist me, putting me on hold while she talked to "internal billing" multiple times and relayed information back and forth between us. I could not understand why they couldn't take my call directly but she was just patient, even though I knew she must have actual scheduling calls to answer. She never criticized her employer and was perfectly pleasant and kind. Leona Sandoval, at Simon Med Arrowhead scheduling is a customer service champion. I am sure Simon Med values her as much as I did today! read more

the staff is awesome ! equipment failure ct breaking down, unable to process payments unable to keep appointments. if they want to run an imaging business they need to invest in their equipment pay their staff better. The techs that work there are great but the front desk is not. I was charged $500 when my co-pay was only $10. Now I cannot get my money returned. I knew I was being overcharged, so I used a credit card because I thought I could get my money refunded in a timely manner. I was wrong. First off, you must contact them because they will not initiate the refund. I have called twice and both times told I would get a refund in 1 - 7 days. Three weeks later I am still waiting. Today their system is down and I cannot contact anyone. I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

I came in for my scheduled CT scan . Then received a call after I left saying they missed some scans and I will need to schedule to come back for a redo. Went back for the second scheduled set of scans, after waiting for 35 minutes, I asked the front desk if they were running late and they said they would let me know... after waiting another 15 mins. They called and scheduled my brain MRI that needed with and without contrast. It was late in the afternoon. Evidently unbeknownst to me they were running behind which made the radiologist mad. So knowing he had my appointment looming he didn't care and left saying it was the staffs problem. The office manager wasn't there to address this either. This is 445 pm. They at first weren't going to be able to reschedule me anytime soon. But my husband stepped in and amazing an apppointment opened for the next morning. I had to have a sedative because of my claustrophobia but a good thing my doctor gave me two pills! On the upside there was a sweet patient who was willing to give up her appointment for me since mine was on the brain and her's was not. There are good people out there read more

if you have any concerns about COVID do not go here. Although a sign on the door clearly says "Masks are required" there were three patients/clients inside without masks. The people at the desk did not ask them to put masks on. The people at check-in keep pulling their masks down. One did that to cough without covering her mouth. When I pointed out to the technician in the room that she was not wearing her mask correctly (below her nose) she said she did that to talk as if that was o.k. There certainly were no temperature checks or COVID questions asked. Very unsafe. read more

Obviously the comment by the customer service rep asking me to contact her is just for looks to make people think they actually care and are going to do something. I have not heard back from her after I emailed her. I booked another appointment thinking she was going to get back with me and she did not. Now Simon Med called me quoting me almost double the price. I called my insurance before I booked the appointment and they told me how much it would be with Simon Med since it is going towards my deductible and I wanted to know if I should pay cash and not go against my deductible. How can it be over $400 when my insurance said it would be around $277? Also Simon Med previously quoted me a cash price in the $260's. Wow!!! Unreal!!! I'm the stupid one though I thought they may actually take action. What is the saying fool me once fool me twice....I'm so done!! This was my previous review they commented on: Terrible!! You book an appointment on line and they call back and say they do not have that open or that they double book. The last time she told me they are working on their system.....they need to take it down if it does not work. When I made the prior appointment she was very snippy and rude when I was asking what price I would pay if it went towards my insurance deductible. I was told I could not get that until I was there for my appointment and they checked with my insurance. Strange that I have been able to get that information in the past. Went in for my Mammogram and had to reschedule because they booked me at the wrong office. Quoted me a price for my x-ray and then was told it was a higher amount. I would not recommend them to anyone!! I need 2 more MRI's and I will be going somewhere else!!! read more

Absolutely the worst office I have ever been too. I was given a referral for my 3 year old to get an X-ray on his leg. I got there at 1pm and overheard someone else who came in about 30 minutes after me ask how long the wait was. The woman said 30 minutes. 45 minutes go by and I ask what's going on and she said they can't accept my referral because it apparently didn't have enough information. Never in my life have I been denied an X-ray. So she went on to say that they were trying to call the urgent care that I receive the referral from. I was in a hurry because I also had another child to pick up from school, so I took it upon myself to tell the facility that I would be right back and then I would go to the urgent care to have them call the office so that they could all speak to each other and get this cleared up. I went back to SimonMed and they said they didn't speak to anybody and that by law they needed more information before taking the x-ray on my son. So again, I went back to urgent care to ask them Where is the disconnect. They were clueless and said they spoke to SimonMed and they said they should have everything that they need to do an x-ray on my child. So, I went BACK to SimonMed to relay the message, and they still remained clueless and in fact, the front desk receptionist said she had a hard time believing my story. Super disrespectful. Thankfully a gentleman who worked in the MRI department was able to help me out and they got it all squared away, but I wasn't seen for an x-ray for my child until 4:40 PM, my child was screaming and crying in the lobby while we waited patiently for someone to do their freaking job. And I was not the only one in that waiting room, complaining about the long wait, and being turned away for stupid reasons. I don't know how either of the receptionist were able to sleep last night, knowing that my child was in pain and could have had a serious problem and they were not helpful whatsoever. This office needs some serious help and possibly some layoffs and by the looks of these reviews, it looks like I'm not alone on this one. read more

Round two - rescheduled for 02/19 at 3:00 at a different facility. Received a text message and an email around 1:30 stating "It's almost time for your appointment". Imagine my surprise when I get there to be told the appointment needs to be rescheduled because their camera is down and has been since morning. When asked why they didn't call, I was told they did. Pulled out my cell phone and had a missed call at 10:28 am but no message. I was supposed to know the missed call was them? How does that work? I have now had to leave work early two days for appointments which have not happened. Who is going to reimburse my wages? Better question, how is SimonMed allowed to continue to get away with this? read more

Came here to get a chest X-ray for an upcoming surgery. First thing, the girl at the front desk with the black hair and bold eyebrows needs to work on her RBF and attitude with the patients. She was constantly getting snippy and telling patients to "just sit down". She was the only person at the front desk as well and the waiting room was very busy. But that still doesn't give her the right to respond the way she did and have the crap attitude that she had. Other than that, the other workers who called me back and did my chest x-rays were very helpful and very polite. They were quick to do what they needed me to do and get me on my way. read more

After driving 30 min, she tells me they are supposed to be scheduled together and to come back at 1! I come back and She tells me they don't have my Dr Orders?! It is a shame I have to give this group any stars. I found it the worst run facility you can imagine. My appointment that I waited weeks for was at 8:15 in the evening. Arrived 15 minutes early as instructed and completed two pages of paperwork, same paperwork I had completed on line days before. I was told it would just be a couple of minutes. At 9:05 I asked the receptionist who was very busy doing nothing if there was a problem?? She said, "No, the girl is just running behind" I asked if there was only one person doing the work? She said, "Yes, but she is trying to catch up" I inquired, how many people are in front of me....she said four. I asked how long does each appointment take...she said about 15 minutes. I had been waiting for 50 minutes and they did not call anyone and no one left the office through the lobby. I am not an MRI tech...but 15 minutes seems pretty darn quick....I would love to know the truthful answer. The lobby is dingy and the ceiling tiles are stained wet...something upstairs was leaking...looks moldy to me. The receptionist new when I walked in they were an eternity behind and told me just a couple of minutes. I am in pain...100% of the time and finally was on the verge of finding out what is wrong....but they triple over book and don't have good people to manage issues. If you have any choice don't go to this place....they are worst than awful....!!! I am not sure who regulates a facility like this, NRC, FDA, ADHS, or Secretary of State...but my next letter is heading in their direction!!!! read more

I've stayed very healthy on purpose as this whole industry is a machine designed to keep people sick and dependent on pharmaceuticals. Recently needed tests for gall bladder issues and I've never been so frustrated in my life. In the past 6 weeks, I've had to be here four times. It's important to note that the techs (those doing the procedures) are fantastic...very nice. The issues are with scheduling (online & phone) and then the process to be seen. First time, I scheduled online...but when I arrived, there was no record of my appointment...they did squeeze me in. I learned to call to schedule. This last time,I called to schedule and was told to be 45 mins early to drink a "concoction". I arrived on time...waited 30 minutes and then asked if I was supposed to drink something...oops. Yes. Here it is. Start drinking and it tastes like sugar overdose. Asked if it contained dairy & how much sugar crap. No dairy. No idea about sugar so...thanks internet...I looked it up. This stuff contains two of the biggest artificial POISONS in the market. I don't drink diet drinks (they should be illegal) yet my medical professionals are handing it to me with not a care in the world. How dare you! Go poison yourself not me! If you work in this industry...get educated! Don't drink the koolaide of the pharmaceutical companies! They have one goal in mind ... keep us depending on them and keep poisoning us. read more

In an environment where people are anxious and stressed I found the two receptionist at simonmed Arrowhead to be exceptional in their professionalism, patience, and proficiency. Tracel W. and Cindy G. make checking in a breeze as well as being extremely helpful when needing a report or CD of any imaging!!!! This place can get busy but they get you in and out quickly!! Hospital co-pays, then orthopedic surgeon co-pays, then referred to this place to rule out the need for surgery and Vanessa at tbe front desk actually tells me I must make a payment today or no service. I have to say, that I don't usually write reviews on anyone. I have gone to Simon Med (a different location) for years. But here it is, i had an appointment on my lunch hour today, because, obviously we make appointments assuming we can be seen around that time. I am patient and realize that usually people are running late. But this time, i waited 25 minutes in line to check in (after doing it on line) and was told that they don't take appointments for x-rays anymore. I had an 11am appointment scheduled for the past week. I said so i drove all the way here to find out that my 11am appointment isn't really an appointments, she said "yes" that is supposed to be fixed on their website but it isn't. Really, so my gas, time and pre-planning is nothing to this location/company. I am really disappointed. I wasted my lunch hour doing that. read more

It seems as if everybody decided to show up at the same time but the FrontDesk girls stayed calm and courteous to everyone, including the lady who was making a scene because she was late and expected to be taken back immediately. read more

My experience was awful. When I checked in 15 mins early they told me they were running 1 hr 45 mins behind. I told them I have to work so would leave and come back. They said if they called me and I'm not there I would forfeit my appt. I asked if they could text or call me when the person in line ahead of me went in they said no. I had to go back home and work but told them I would be back. I returned 1 hour and 10 mins later, sat there for 45 mins for them to tell me I had another 30 mins to wait. So basically it took 4 hours to get my 15 min MRI done. Absolutely ridiculous. And while I was waiting I cannot even tell u how many people I saw that were so mad about the delays. It is so completely rude and inconsiderate to not even let people know ur running that far behind or even try to work with them at all. Never again will I use u guys or this location. Cynthia is AWESOME!!! I had an appointment yesterday and at the last minute could not find the paper I needed to take with the Dr. order. I called the main number and Mary was very unkind, told me I had to call the Dr. myself and find it. I called and was on hold the whole 20 min driving to SmonMed. When I arrived I told Cynthia at the front desk what was happening. She apologized for Mary and said Don't worry I will take care of it. Cynthia turned what was a unhappy situation into a very pleasant one. She called my Dr's office and within minutes I was in getting my scan done. No worries. We need more Cynthia"s in this world. You know what I absolutely hate? Liver... And this place is just as bad!!! I arrived at 4:30 for an X-ray because it's walk in only. I was turned away after the front desk walked to the back and asked the Rad tech for permission to see me. This establishment closes at 5. I came back Monday and it only gets worse. Liver and onions, 2nd thing I hate most! Yep the front desk was so inept. I had to run across the parking lot to obtain scripts they already had. When I came back she asked me for my insurance information. She pulled my info up and yes the X-ray scripts were there as well as ALLL of my insurance information. The manager finally came up and had to show the front desk who was obviously lacking in aptitude the information she was asking me to go get again from my provider... Nothing like a good old fashioned incompetent staff, not even a cold beer could wash down the taste of liver and an experience that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Yea no thank you Simon Med you have failed to employ a staff with brains. I'll be taking my business to valley radiologists. read more

Was there for a mammogram, staff friendly and courteous. I was seen very quickly, so no problems there. My only concern is that there were 2 patients in the waiting room without masks. I would have expected a medical facility to enforce that rule, especially as the waiting area is not that big, so that was a little disappointing. read more

I have been going there for years. Front desk is highly disorganized, very unprofessional and not helpful. I waited over 1 hour for my appointment, that was prepaid with a network called Radiology Assist that will literally save you thousands of dollars as you pre-pay for radiology services at a fraction of the cost Simon Med charges, even with Insurance discounts it is less. Anyway, I was all set pre-paid e.t.c. I sat there for a little over 1 hour and RADIOLOGIST CAME OUT TO WAITING AREA, and said my authorization of service was not valid! I have used radiology assist all of the previous times with no trouble, the Dr. called in the RX Requisition form in to Radiology Assist prior to my receiving the form I was instructed to take in. Furthermore, if there were any questions as to the validity of my pre-authorization of service form, why on earth did the front desk rep not bring it to my attention before wasting over 1 hour of my time in office not to mention commute time? I felt as if Radiologist simply wanted to go home as it was after 5P.M, and I was the last patient of the day. It made no logical sense! I have a thyroid nodule that is 1.2mm as of last year, which needs to be monitored to confirm it has not changed. Radiologist is so overworked, she simply could care less! BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION! I have nothing but bad experience dealing with them the last couple days to schedule MRI. Started with the authorization supervisor, Mariah, not calling back like promised. instead she had Brittany who claimed to be the site manager call me back and she provided me misinformation about insurance denial. When really the case is simon med held up request and caused delays. AMANDA: There is no confusion on my part as I am certain that Mariah never called back as promised, Brittany provided incorrect information according to my insurance company. I have been to different locations in North Phoenix/Glendale, under staffed over booked. Recently 06/27/18, 730am I had appointment at Arrowhead approximately waited for one hour, I asked a technician what's taking so long her response is "MRI technician way behind". Ten minutes later a couple walked in looking like characters from 70's Barney Miller Show, they told receptions fire drill and have everyone walk across parking lot to next building, (one would think * and yes i said think * whoever's in charge would have scheduled this for employees only on off business hours), at that point I said to myself f**k it and left then called Simon Med Corporate Office spoke with Jesus's secretary she took down my complaint and reassured me Jesus would call back and takes this seriously. Guess what I'm still waiting. Poor customer service as usual, why change now. The office staff was friendly and welcoming as I entered for my mammogram. For the last three years I have had Marcella as my technicians and she is wonderful! She is kind, gentle and very caring towards her patients. She takes the time to explain each step of the mammogram, which is very reassuring. As an ex cancer survivor she understands the anxiety that comes with this procedure. I would highly recommend Marcella to anyone going for a mammogram. read more

I went to get a CT scan today, which I was nervous because I hate IV's. I had CT tech Peggy and she was so sweet to me and when she gave me my IV I didn't even feel it! This made my day, usually everyone misses multiple times or digs. So I really appreciate her knowledge, professionalism and kindness! The rest of the staff was really nice and helpful! There was a little confusion on getting the CT scan authorized, but they got it handled for me! This is a very clean facility too BTW! read more

I called for an appointment for an MRI, I told the scheduler on the phone that I have a Pacemaker and it is MRI conditional. They scheduled me for the MRI and said Pacemaker is no problem. When I got to the facility, the radiologist said they can't do it because of the Pacemaker. It would be nice if SIMONMED would take a little time to train the schedulers about what it is they actually do and what conditions should be met. The receptionist at the Arrowhead facility was very nice, not a problem with her. read more

On 2/16/17 went for a 1:30 PM appointment to have a MRI done for a lump under my jaw. The tech 1 (female) hooked me up and started the scan. The machine was so loud and pounding (got to be over 100 db). After about 10 minutes, I pressed the call button and I asked for ear plugs. I asked the tech 1, if they normally supply ear plugs. Her replay 'Oh you don't have any?' -was I supposed to know to bring my own. I then asked her if it was standard procedure to supply ear plugs. Her answer I am a student and I don't have that answer. She finally stuffed ear plugs in my ears. After the scan was done I asked the tech 2 (male with gray hair) about the ear plugs and wanted to talked to a site manager. He said he was busy and forgot. I was then asked to sit in a back area to wait to talk to a manage and was told she was busy as some one did not show up for work. After waiting for over 10 minutes, another patient came out of a bathroom and complained that there was no water to wash her hands. Another 5 minutes go by a young woman come and checks out the no water in the bathroom problem and tells me she will be with me soon. Another 5 minutes go by no show. So I left. My question, how can a student inject dye in my veins and operate the MRI equipment on me with little to no supervision (tech 2) was doing other things the whole time) and does not know that she is supposed to supply ear plugs to MRI scan patients. Are they following procedures to look after the well being of their patients. Most of the other patients in the waiting room are old (over 60). No Water in the bathrooms?? It is now 4:20 PM, my ears have not stopped ringing and I have a pounding headache. Poor service, bad practices, will not go back to Simon Med again.... read more
