I had an appointment this morning at 9:15a. I traveled from the 51 and Thunderbird Rd in North Phoenix. The appointment took 2.5 weeks to get. When I got there the receptionist told me she had to ask me a few questions. She asked if I've had any surgeries and my reply was "numerous". She then told me the tech working will not take anyone that has had surgeries. **The order from my doctor states the procedure is because of surgeries on my stomach and intestines** I asked her why I wasn't called and informed of this? Why did I waste my time driving there if a different tech was working? Why did I not eat, not drink or take my medicine for an appointment that was made 2.5 weeks earlier? WHY IN THE HELL WASN'T I TOLD OF THIS??? The receptionist was not helping at all, she did not answer my question as to why I wasn't called and informed of this. I was PISSED so I just walked out. I called corporate and made a complaint I am supposed to receive a call from the district manager. I DO NOT recommend this location! read more

So today I was suppose to finally have my CT scan. I arrive to find out that one, my scan was scheduled incorrectly by their scheduling department and two the authorization that Simon Med ask for is incorrect. How this is possible I don't know as the order is perfectly clear & would have been sent in when the PA was requested. The manager that came out to speak to us had no solution for their mistakes other than they have to restart the authorization process & no CT scan today. I'm now a month out from when my original scan was scheduled! My advise, avoid Simon Med at all costs! They now want to charge me for my recent US films to take to another imaging facility. I will be contacting the licensing authority in AZ as well as the RSNA If someone at Simon Med is reading this a phone call from management would be nice! Wondering if anyone in upper management has ever reviewed their yelp & FB reviews, my guess is they have not since the same problems keep occurring consistently for their patients. Update: no response from SimonMED after emailing. Scheduling at a different facility & they tell me they hear from patients that they had similar experiences with SimonMED on a daily basis. The people and medical 'pros' working there seemed out of touch and did not like working with patients in general. I had orders to go get an MRI a few months ago when I tweaked my back. I tried calling several times and finally got someone to answer the phone only for them to immediately hang up on me... I was trying to get a cost on how much an mri costs. I hurt my back worse and went directly into a SimonnMed location with my orders where they told me I could get it done an hour and a half later. I came back and waited to be called in with excruciating back pain. 40 minutes after I arrived they finally told me that they were an hour behind schedule. I finally was able to get it done then when leaving they said it would be 3 to 5 days for results. This was a Wednesday, I asked if there was any chance of getting them by Friday? She said "oh no, that won't be possible." It's also a holiday weekend so they probably are not working on Monday. So someone in excruciating pain that needs answers on treatment and what exactly is going on, has to wait a week to get any results... UNREAL! Those things should be sent out within 24 hours. Overall a great experience! I finished my paperwork the night before and when I arrived Karina at the front desk was super helpful and got me checked in really fast! Then Lindsey who performed my ultrasound was incredibly intelligent and made me feel at ease! Everyone was extremely helpful and nice and I will be going back again if needed! read more

Very bad experience once again. Staff at front desk is simply lacking customer service and didn't care the CD had wrong CT scan uploaded! Husband couldn't believe how badly patients were treated while waiting to be seen. If you don't want to be treated like a # and not like a patient in need of help, then definitely let your provider know to find another MRI/XRAY/CT company. Will never go back. Had an appt scheduled and even got a reminder text a couple hours before my appt. Left work early and arrived 30 minutes before my appt time as instructed. When I checked in the lady asked for my ID, clicking away on her computer, then asked what test I'm there for, continues clicking away, and after a minute or two she says "we'll need to reschedule ... that machine is down." She said it like no big deal without "I'm sorry." I was kind of speechless. As she's clicking away on her computer I asked " so you don't you notify patients of this ahead of time?" She said "yeah, I guess I missed that." WOW. No apology whatsoever. I'm not sure what I was more upset about - the fact I wasn't notified before leaving work early or the fact she didn't care at all. So unprofessional! She rescheduled me for the next day at a different location. It was on Thunderbird and I had a much better experience. They were polite and professional. I use to love going to all their offices. I have an HSA account so they sent me the bill and within a day it was paid. A couple days later sent my payment back. They did this me three weeks in a row and then I get a notice in the mail for non payment. First off, they were paid 3 times and when they sent to collections the services preformed weren't even a month old. We have tried to rectify this, they say they're checking into it however, no one has called us back with a solution. i tried 5 times to actually speak to a tech in the actual office were the test will be done. i have prep for test question. i have seizures. i know there is no food or drink after midnight night before, but the damn phone jockeys who i keep getting sent to just reads the prep instruction from his paper, and says i cant take the seizure med with a tiny sip of water. I get this exception with any NPO test instructions. But the 5 clowns I talk to on their telehealth line says no. These are people that schedule appt. and read off papers. If you're scheduled for a MRI or cat scan here ask the scheduler to find another location. I was quoted 30 minutes behind and sat in their office for 2 hours and 30 minutes before I was called back. Unnecessary and unacceptable business practice to make patients (potentially in pain) sit around and wait endlessly. Office is dirty with leaks in the roof and bugs in the lighting fixtures. I'm sure their management doesn't care about wait times when providers are feeding them patients non stop. Front office team was nice and apologetic but honestly this was a ridiculous experience. Shame on you SimonMed. I wish I could leave 0 stars for your company operations. I had an order for x-ray of my hip. According to Google this place opening at 6:00 a.m. . I get there at 7:30 where I've been informed it will open 8:30 for the x-rays. I repeatedly asked after 8:30 what's going on they said I will be the next. At 9:26 I still waiting for my call. I learned the same associate administrating also the bone density tests. Those has appointments. X-ray doesn't take appointments. So in my understanding as long as the bone density patient showing up x-ray patient has no chance to get they procedure done. So I was sitting there 3 hours for nothing. I tried to get my money back, the two receptionist is just pointing on each other. The management for this place is absolutely disaster I will never go Simon Med imaging office ever again... read more

Initially went to laveen location for my diagnostic mammograms andultrasound. The tech couldnt do it because i did not have the cd that i knew nothing about. Couldnt get into the portal numerous times. So i rescheduled in arrowhead which is closer. I picked up the cd and physically took it to arrowhead 2 weeks prior to appt on august 11th. Went to my appointment on aug 25th. Waited about an hour or so and was told by tech there was a problem. She said she was unsure what it was and radiologist told her to just do the ultrasound. After numerous chats on portal trying to find out whato do, one person on chat said they have the cd. She said she sent an email to take care of this asap. Its now sept 16th. Nothing. Noone to talk to, no response at all. No information. I dont know if you keep the chats but.... what the heck? read more

This company is like pulling teeth to get stuff done. Dr said they have a scheduler and that it will work much better. Went online didn't see anything that says MRI there's one thing that says MR can't you guys figure that out on your own website. Call the company got hung up on and they never called me back. Left two messages for the scheduler had to keep on calling finally got it set up 615 in the evening after an hour of waiting I said is this normal she said there's only one person back there working. I said how is that my problem you guys triple booked us and we're all sitting here. Paid them and now trying to get money back. Follow up review came by text. Nice get to share my pain. I was told I had to pay a co-pay. I knew I had no co-pay and my insurance would pay in full however I went ahead and paid the $200, as the front desk person was persistent. My insurance paid the full amount. I had to call them to start the refund process and was told it will take 30 to 45 days for a refund. I still haven't received my refund and my date of service was in January of 2023. I keep calling the billing dept and all they tell me it will take a few more weeks. If you need an X-ray I would suggest having your doctor send you anywhere but here. IMHO a very poorly run organization. The SimonMed handout sheet only lists fax numbers but no contact number. Once you find a phone number on their website you can only connect with an exchange that can't answer questions, you can only leave a message or get their hours of operation. The website states they're open from 6am to 10pm however the door wasn't unlocked until 6:07am (not a biggie just another example of the overall attitude) and the door sign states the hours of operation as "8am to 10pm" (confusing, go figure.) So your a patient in pain standing there at 6am expecting a X-ray (which is walk-in only, no appointments) and then you're told you have to come back because the X-ray technician only shows up "sometime" around 8:30 am which isn't listed on their website. ....get the idea. read more

Never waste your valuable time or money at this facility! I had 2 services scheduled, upon arrival they had a note posted on the door the x-ray machine was down. You would think they would call patient's that had x-ray's scheduled to reschedule but they did not. Also, my wife and I were literally there for over 3 1/2 hours! My wife has an extremely compromised immune system as she has been struggling with a very serious Valley Fever case and she asked 2 different techs to please wear a mask during her mammogram, thyroid, and pelvic ultrasound and they absolutely refused to! They said they don't even have masks there on the premises. We are talking about a facility that sees cancer patients daily and many individuals with low immunity and could possibly perish if they contacted the flu much less Covid. I think it's absolutely outrageous and the manager & owner or regional Corporate Executive that is in charge of these people that clearly should not have a career in the medical field. If you have a weakened immune system do not go to this location as techs refuse to wear a mask even when asked to do so! They overbook and are extremely disorganized the exam rooms and bathrooms were filthy it looked like a facility in a third world Country I pray we didn't contract anthing there I hope they properly clean between patients it certaiinly didn't seem sterile the board of health shoul investigate this place! read more

This is the worst Mickey Mouse operation ever. I scheduled my test online the previous week. I got several texts and emails reference my appointment. I still called the day of and confirmed it. When I went in they said there were problems with their system and they couldn't see me or reschedule. Previously, they have messed up on my paperwork and records. I have seen other customers have major issues at this place. The employees are not well trained. You are told one thing on the phone at their communications center and something completely different when you get there. I tried going there again only because of the convenient location. I will never go there again. I will drive out of my way to avoid it. Save yourself a lot of trouble and go some place else! read more

The front desk person was very nice and so was the technician. You can't make an appt for X-rays, they are on a walk in basis only. They open at 7am BUT the X-ray tech doesn't come in until 8:30. No where does it say that or is communicated to you with the 'too many' texts you get from them. And you shouldn't have to fill out pages and pages of the same paperwork each time you visit. They are also very confusing in their reminder texts that you have online info to fill out which is ridiculous because it's redundant paperwork!!! read more

Over the years I have had many problems with scheduled appts, machines breaking down, no authorization person (not sure how that's my problem since I can't obtain auth myself). I have repeatedly taken half a day off work and drove to scheduled appts just to be told it's canceled or no auth. No concern or respect for patients or their time. I had the first appointment of the day for a Dexa scan, got there 15 minutes ahead of time at their request and then sat there waiting to be called. I had an appointment for 1:00. They said they were running about an hour behind. That wasn't the bad part, though. The person at the check-in counter told me I had a $200 co-pay which I do not. Then she said maybe it was a $200 deductible that I had to pay. I told her I don't have a co-pay or a deductible for MRIs. She couldn't have cared less. I called my health insurance customer service number and had them talk to SimonMed, too. That did no good. I went home and got my insurance booklet which said there was no deductible or co-pay for MRIs and took that back and showed her. She still couldn't have cared less. I asked to talk to the office manager, and she said she (Crystal) was the office manager. I finally just told her to cancel my appointment and left. Apparently their business is so good they could care less about listening to the customer. I will never go back, and I will report my experience to my orthopaedic doctor. read more

My experience with this place was horrible. Their website was difficult to figure out but there's no use trying to call because the wait times are astronomical. I made an appointment online, FINALLY, and showed up only to be told the wait would be an hour. After waiting for TWO hours, I had to reschedule. I found another imaging place and when I tried to cancel my rescheduled appointment at SimonMed by calling the number on the confirmation they gave me, the call hung up on me twice. I went to this location today for a shoulder xray. Usually I go the the location on thunderbird but this location was closer. I signed in at 1203 and filled my form and turned over my order and insurance card. At 1240 I started to get annoyed about waiting almost 40 minutes for an xray. I was called at 1250 to pay my copay. I said I didn't want to pay for a procedure I wasn't going to receive.She stated to me that they were waiting to verify my insurance benefits. When I did receive my receipt for the copay it states in large letters on the bottom that this is only an estimate as well. I work for banner health,they are also banner health. In the hospital we are able to verify info in less then 10 minutes,so not sure why here it takes nearly 40 mins....I am aware that I did not have an appointment so realize that people who made an appointment would be taken before myself....But you are unable to make an appointment for an xray at the facilities... The staff at the front desk are some of the most unprofessional ive come into contact with..One Talking about her husband and how she hopes he stays this helpful after her baby is born,etc,etc...carring out gifts from a baby shower,eating from shower.,talking about people taking a longer lunch and should be back by now, etc,etc. As A banner employee it was exceptionally poor service considering their mantra to make pt care better....don't recommend read more

Just an update from my Cervical spin X-Ray on 12/19/22. They finally sent a report to my doctors office and they sent it back to SimonMed as they said it referred to an area that was not X-Rayed. I have called and left multiple messages and it has still not been fixed. I don't know what to do or if I should just have my doctor send me to have another X-Ray somewhere else. Horrible experience. My provider setup an MRI at this location for me assuring me there would be a cash pay price of $300. I setup an appointment time and arrived 20 min early only to wait 1.5 hours in the lobby before getting my MRI. I spoke to the front desk and they assured me a cash pay price would be honored and a bill would be sent for $300. Recently I received a bill for $695.17!! I called the corporate number on the bill. I spoke with a representative and her supervisor and they said there's nothing that could be done and to pay what I owe immediately or there will be consequences. I told her that is extortion and I will be reporting it! Complete misrepresentation and false promises on services provided with ZERO customer service. I will be contacting my attorney and the Better Business Bureau immediately. read more

My wife had an appointment for a chest X-ray for my mother-in-law at this location. The appointment was for 4:55pm. They walked up to the desk at 5:00pm. Not sure if anyone else works a full time job and is taking care of their mother who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's - but it's not that easy to move fast. They were informed that they stopped doing X-rays at 5:00pm!! I understand that they were 5 minutes late, however, if they can't give a 5 minute grace period, they shouldn't schedule an appointment within 5 minutes of a hard cut-off time. read more

My provider sent me to simonmed for an ultrasound-I had half a mind to tell her to send it to SMIL but didn't. Huge regret. I was required to pay my portion of the ultrasound-not sure how they know what outstanding claims I have and are able to determine that. Asked the front desk gal to bill my insurance. She gave me two options-pay in full or a payment plan and keep the card on file. I paid a portion and will figure out how to stop payment on the second payment. Also, I won't be receiving a bill. What?! This facility is also incredibly dirty, the one bathroom that was working had crap all over the toilet and there weren't paper towels-at 830am. Is there a cleaning crew here? I had my ultrasound on an actual gurney and the floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in weeks. Will NEVER use this simonmed again and will stick with SMIL. Y'all seriously need Jesus.
