ZERO stars. If I could give them negatives I would! Whatever you do, do NOT go here. Whoever owns this company doesn't care about their customer/patients and providing accurate billing. I was miss quoted the cost of my test only to show up and discovered it was more than three times what I was told over the phone. Then they put me on a payment plan and now they keep sending texts and paper bills saying I owe the full amount even though I've been making the agreed upon payments every month AND called to confirm I am on the payment plan. They outsourced to a scheduling and billing company in a third world country. You can't hear them on the phone. They leave you on hold for simple questions for more than 20 minutes. The owners KNOW the issues that happen with billing (I asked the staff) and yet they continue to keep the same crappy customer service. The tech I had was nice but at the end of the day you're better off calling your insurance for better recommendation. I made the mistake of going here because it's where my doctor recommended. I was forced to pay a co-pay at the time of an MRI, or they would cancel the procedure. I had provided my Insurance information and even brought my Insurance book bookmarked showing the procedure with a co-pay of $50.00. I've now been here for over an hour and they keep taking people one at a time. They overbook and under staff and the entire front desk team is frankly incompetent. I went to your facility for an MRI of both my shoulders right before Christmas. The gal at the front desk was very sweet. She was trying to help an elderly patient that showed up and was very compassionate 4 starts for her! The tech was nice. The place was a disaster. It was disgusting and dirty. I went to use the rest room and the container that you put your gown in was overflowing. There was toilet paper all over the floor. No hand towels. I was appalled. Hire full time staff to clean up!! My husband had an appointment scheduled for 2pm. They called us at 12pm to let us know we would owe $945 at the time of service. I asked about payment plans and was told they do not do payment plans for "such small amounts". The woman was incredibly rude as she told me we could go to the office & speak with the manager 15 minutes before our appointment but that they don't often give payment plan options and that we would have 3 months to pay. Okay, I'm all for the charge but to call 2 hours before the appointment seems a bit off. That's a big chunk of change, especially as we're about to have a new baby. And to be so callus to say we don't offer payment plans for "such small amounts" is just unnecessary. But looking through their reviews this seems like normal business practice for them. There are multiple reviews on Yelp! and in the news about their terrible business practices and how they overcharge people. Jennie, at the front desk, answered all my questions and helped me get a better scheduled appointment. She was so pleasant kind to deal to deal with. Don't use this company if possible!!!! Very unorganized with their scheduling and not knowledgeable about procedures. I had a stand up MRI scheduled for a month and day before they cancelled telling me images wouldn't show what doctor requested! Very rude personnel when trying to get rescheduled was sent to another location and scheduled another month out. I needed a brain MRI , nerve racking on its own but the location Desert Valley, was quite unprofessional. I was texted numerous occasions to confirm and even was called and each time told a different tine for my appointment and time to arrive. (Within half an hour) didn't natter arrived to a 45 minute wait from latest time I was told my appoint was scheduled. Front desk doesn't acknowledge you as you stand there to sign in until they r good and ready. You r given forms to fill out you have done online and then payment is requested. You r told your insurance was checked and my balance was over $700. Then you get a receipt of payment but no itemized bill to submit for insurance. You are given a phone number to call where they will send you a bill. Worse part was I paid for sedation and woke up in the middle of MRI unable to move with face covered with a towel. Crying a screaming for help finally got nurse attention by kicking my legs. She said this happens sometimes, we could continue or reschedule at a hospital with stronger meds. Crying I made it through final 12 long minutes! On the way out given a disc of my scan and told to take to my doctor! What customer service!!!! Dont use this mill of a company and tell you doctors so they can be boycotted. They boost a 98% approval rating don't believe it!!! read more

Simonmed scheduled me for a 7am scan in which I needed to be there 15 minutes prior. On the morning of my scheduled scan, I arrived at 6:45am to find the door locked with signage indicating an opening time of 8am. The ultrasound tech arrived to start work at 7am and could not enter the locked office so she left planning to return at 8am. Finally when the office staff arrived they had no idea that patients were already waiting outside for an hour. The office staff was very nice. The problem lies with Simonmed management and their scheduling staff. In the future, I will insist on other imaging providers and avoid Simonmed. Followup to review: The reception and technical staff were excellent and had nothing to do with the appointment scheduling. In fact, they fit me in to their already busy schedule. One last point, at the time of scheduling (on the phone) the scheduler asked FAR TOO MANY PERSONAL QUESTIONS NOT RELATED TO ME GETTING A SCAN. I found these questions an INVASION of my privacy. read more

The web site shows you the current number of people waiting for xray (no appt for xrays are available). what a joke..website showed 2 waiting I went immediately and room was full and was told wait would be 90 min. Also dont show up at 7am when they open because xray staff doesnt show up till 8:30 I would recommend another location or different company. read more

I had a decent experience here. I made the appt online. I was happy they were open on a holiday monday, as I did not have to take time off work to do my mammo. I went in 20 mins past my appt time. No biggie, lobby chairs and temp were comfortable. I felt bad because the girls at the front desk had to jump through hoops to accommodate so many. I was only waiting for about 45 mins but wow, every other customer had something to request or complain about. For example, no one else but the patient is allowed in the back with the tech, but one guy didn't speak english at all, so his wife had to go back there. One lady got a ride to the office, so she went to check in and was demanding to know exactly how long everything will take. Then there was one guy who was paying out of pocket for their service, but the doctor orders that the office received did not say that. He started yelling that the amount he was given over the phone was different than what the lady at the front desk was telling him. She quickly figured out that it was cheaper for him to go out of pocket rather than through his insurance. He acted like she should have known that the moment he walked up. He knew that, but didn't calmly ask if she gave him the OOP price. She explained that his insurance company was listed on the doctor's orders sent to the office so she didn't know any different in the beginning. He yelled at her for something that really wasn't her fault. Then there was another customer yelling at the front desk lady about being out of their insurance network. So the lady at the desk was telling her there weren't that many imaging places that were open on a holiday Monday. She offered to cancel the appointment so the customer can use an in-network provider on a different day. Customer insisted that her daughter needed Xrays that day. Ok, then. Beggars can't be choosers and the office lady doesn't really need to be held accountable for your impatience. My appointment was complete in a half hour. I got my results the next day. I was only late about 20 mins getting called in for my appt, but I know medical appts are never really exact on timing. More understanding, too, because they were open on a holiday Monday. What has happened to this location of Simon Med? My Doctor sent a bone density referral, sat there for 30 minutes+ before the lady who did my mammogram came out, saw me and got a nurse to help--who stated there was no referral. Called my Dr. who sent the referral a week before. Then when you call there is a recorded message that says to press "1" and someone will call you back. Been 5 days and still waiting for that call. This location has become so sloppy that--if they can't handle their referrals--heaven only knows how wrong they might be reading your mammograms and xrays. I am booked for the bone density and will do it, but you can bet next year I will NOT be going to Simon Med. They need to get their shop together before I come back. Like Cara S below I just had an MRI on Friday 5/19. I am in pain and waiting on this to decide a course of action. Was told 1-3 days it would be read. Wednesday afternoon 5/24 I chatted online with the rep. It's apparent this rep was offshore, as it's use of English was highly suspect. It told me don't worry, but if it's not available after Thursday contact back. Nothing even on Friday 5/26. I hit the chat button again and get another offshore person who I asked to have a supervisor call me back. She told me she would, I had to press her for when several times and even asked if she was capable of doing that. She LIED. No phone call and it will be almost two weeks just for them to read it and get the films to my doctor IF they get it done Tuesday. At least send the films! Docs can read them. My doctor sent a request for an MRI on 5-17-23 to simonmed(intentionally not capitalized) by mistake, instead of to my preferred imaging favorite of SMIL. I, however caught it. Now I know why Smil is my favorite, they're polite and caring and take MEDICARE. I've never heard of this place until now and glad I now know as they DON'T TAKE MEDICARE. What kind of medical imaging facility doesn't take MEDICARE. Glad I booked my appointment with SMIL on 5-18-23 as my doctors office just called and told me simonmed notified them they don't take my insurance. Today is 5-26-23 and I would say they're very slow to notify about insurance. Doctors don't just decide it would be a fun idea to send someone for imaging unless it was really needed, so get a clue simonmed you are real jerks! After reading other reviews and the horror stories, I'm glad this actually happened they way it did or I'd probably be living those same horror stories. I went to another SimonMed on TBird and 92nd(?) for a bone density scan. That was quick and smooth, as I made an appointment (although they did call me an hour before my appt. and told me machine was down and rescheduled me for a week later). However, when I went to this Arrowhead location about a month later for a foot/ankle/shin x-ray things took a nosedive. You can't make appointments for X-rays, they are walk-in, first-come first served. Okay. I arrived early (they had texted me they had my docs orders). Sorry. Machine is down. Okay - week later...go back, same MO. Machine is up and functioning, tech called out - we might get one this afternoon? Come back then. Few days later I changed my strategy, arriving middle of the day. "Tech went to lunch (its 1230 p - I figured that might be the case but was prepared to be first when he came back.) He'll be back at 3." "Okay, so he works from 3-5p after a 3 hour lunch?" "No, he gets off at 3:45" Wait. What? How do I get this job? Are you serious? Ummm...yeah, so needless to say I never did get that X-ray. Maybe I should've gone back to the one on TBird although while I was waiting for my bone scan I did hear a lot of ppl complaining about Xrays as they checked in and walked out...so maybe its a company wide phenomenon? read more

I will never go back to any Simon med. I was supposed to have an MRI done and I advised I have a pain stimulator in my back. A half hour before my appointment I get a cancelation notice. I still went to the office since I was on my way and the lady couldn't tell me why it was cancelled but found out later was double booked. I advised my doc appt is next week that is why I need to get it done asap so she scheduled me at the Peoria office at 6pm that same day. I rearranged my schedule and went out of my way to go there and pay half of my deductible and they rest billed a month out. A few mins later found out that they can't do it at that location. I asked for the supervisor from both locations reach out to me. I was then scheduled for the thunderbird office the next day to find out that they can't do it either. Finally found out Sun City can do it but had to wait for 2 weeks before I could get in. I still haven't heard from the supervisor from the arrowhead location and requested 3 times already in a month and don't bother calling customer service. I have a billing issue also I have made 4 payments and show it on my credit card but somehow, they can't see it and if you ask for a supervisor either you get transferred to a line with dead silence and nobody answers or they hu on you and there is no support on their website. Unwilling to work with me regarding my insurance and is unwilling to listen to what I know about my insurance coverage. They also lied about a conversation they had with my insurance company (I have the reference number directly from my insurance). I get there and the girl tells me the cut off for service on X-ray is 4:30 but they close at 8:00, okay she said I could come in today, I ask if I could make an appointment she said no. I went in this morning and was told the do not have X-ray tech on Tuesdays and I would need to go to another location, I drove to the other location and they said the wait was 2 hours , I asked to make an appointment they said no because it's a walk in procedure. Avoid Simonmed at all costs. All locations. Been trying to get a Fluoroscopy exam for weeks. Set up an appointment using online chat, they sent me to a location that doesn't do that test. Didn't inform me until I showed up. Set up another apt at a different location with the front desk. That was canceled an again, only notified when i showed up. No doctors or technicians. Set another apt. That was canceled as well. Sent me to a different location. Canceled. Sent me to yet another location. Showed up and they scheduled the wrong test. No doctors or techs to do the test. This was 8 times and many different days over 4 weeks. Many other patients in the waiting rooms tell of similar problems. Scheduled a CT exam 5 business days in advance of the schedule date so that they could get an insurance approval. Called me 2 days before scheduled CT and said they didn't have insurance approval and needed to reschedule.. Schedule was set for another 7 days in advance. Tried calling. Spoke with 2 representatives. Second representative said to hold and hung up. I have had several procedures with SimonMed and it is always a major hassle to get anything done with them. Simon Med Imaging (Greenfield Rd) Mesa, AZ First, the front office staff are unable to perform their individual tasks without having two or three additional staff assist intake patients. Secondly, the staff states at the intake of a SM fee for services. Request to view the SM computation of their fee. Denied. Three staff members injected themselves in my intake station telling me, "this dude fee is from your insurance company", you can call them. If you want to know anything further regarding the fees, "you can call SM Billing department. After contacting my insurer, they informed me they provided NO fee structure to SM. After contacting SM Billing Dept, no comment, had to talk to the estimate dept. No answer. After discussing this issue with a former SM employee, SM uses an internal cost estimator to charge each patient. Thirdly, after above "Secondly", I informed the three intake SM staff that I will go out side to contact my insurer and SM Billing dept. and will let them know if I want to proceed with the procedure. Several minutes later, after waiting in line again, came back to the same three SM staff, and said, wanted to proceed with my procedure and will pay the $481. (Whereas, my copay was only $63. and a week earlier at a different SM location, paid $391. for two x-rays.) All three with laughter, informed me that, "since you left, we cancelled your procedure". Fourth, patients that are having service and financial issues (such as advance fees), need to file a consumer complaint with the ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. (I will be filing a complaint.) Especially, when younger SM employees take advantage of senior citizens and Investigate how SM calculates pre payment fees. Fifth, please note, when SM, staff thinks it's cute (with laughter) to arbitrarily and capriciously cancels a senior citizens medical procedure, SM should be legally punished! First time going to this company. Picked this location due to close to my work. I had an app it and still waited 2 hours to get my CT done. My CT was all of 5 minutes. I understand they were busy and apparently this is the busies location but 2 hour wait with an appointment is frustrating. They said the results would be 2-3 business days. It's been over a week now and I called my doctor to be told they didn't send them the results. My suggestion is to avoid this location. Staff was nice though. read more

Avoid at all costs. The office staff has no clue what they are doing. The tech messed up the contrast. We were forced to pay up front and out of pocket. We paid for bad useless images. The images had to be mailed to the Dr and took 28 days. It's 2023. Our ordering Dr requested new images that can be used. Simon Med refuses to do them again properly. Run from this place!! All locations! I have been "cancelled" FIVE TIMES in the last four weeks. The tech is not there when my appointment time rolls around. "This is beyond our control". Yeah, 5 times at 3 different locations. Sure. I have been flexible on locations, to include Arrowhead, Anthem, Thunderbird. And their outsourced call center gets negative stars if that were possible. I will never use SimonMed again. I was able to get an appointment with a different provider, and wow, they actually kept the appointment! SimonMed needs a MAJOR overhaul. Here's hoping there aren't any real issues that should have been addressed while I was failing in my attempts to be seen. read more

If I could give this place a zero stars I would. My mother waited almost 2 months for a procedure that was scheduled here. On the day of, she called a few hours before to confirm her appt as she never got a confirmation call with instructions. They confirmed her appt and that the procedure would take approx 30 minutes. She drove 45 minutes to this location and upon arrival was told they could not perform her procedure as the machine needed had been down for over a MONTH. Now she has to wait 2.5 more months to get in for the same procedure. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. To top it all off, I myself have had a similar experience at Simon med. Waiting for an appt only to show up and have them say they don't perform that procedure at that location at all? So then why did you schedule me here in the first place?! read more

Honestly after reading some of the reviews on here I was a little apprehensive about coming into this office but my visit was totally fine. The girls at the front desk were professional, and all the techs I saw and encountered seemed friendly. I also really appreciated someone from the office calling me ahead of time to let me know my insurance hadn't approved my procedure yet and pushed my appt back a bit in order to allow more time for authorization.
