I had my first heart attack in the late 90's and modern medical has allowed me to live a fairly normal life compared to my Dad who died at age 37 of his first heart attack. Dr Sanchez is my lead Doc and I grade him an A+, but I needed a double ablation for AFib for that last year and Dr Sheppard did that 8 hour procedure that was successful and I grade him and his team an A+. All of the test for the ablation, showed my bad heart valve finally needed replaced and a TAVR was performed by Dr Jabbars team about a year ago. It was done in a new Operating Room room in Northside hospital and I could have been in the Mayo clinic. It is outfitted with the latest screens, lights etc and a huge staff as they need a complete surgical team to stand by in case of complications. There were over 20 people involved and that was a very easy procedure on me as they use a cath and an overnight stay only. My only gripe and it is huge, is the HCA billing system. I have group insurance and am over 65 so I have medicare part A. HCA refuses to send my Explainations of Benefits statement of what BCBS pays so medicare can consider my inpatient hospital bills. It has cost me huge amounts due to my high deductible and high co pay. Medicare Part A will coordinate for inpatient if only HCA would cooperate. HCA now owns the Heart Institute so if has affected all of my bills to the tune of about $30k out of my pocke over a period of about 4 months. btw- I have often been late (from reviews) as I leave from work and get tied up and never had my appt cancelled. I had to wait longer than normal when late but always have been seen and I have likely had about 50 appts as a patient of 4 different cardiologists there as well as Heather Tate who is also a A+.

They even have Candy in the waiting area. Fastest time I've ever received my images or the results from any MRI ever! My orthopedic used to send me somewhere else. I suggested they stop using the other place and start using Tampa Bay imaging. And they have evening appointments here so you don't have to take time out of your busy workday. . Dan made my experience easy, effortless, fun, she's an outstanding part of the team . I have been to several other places for imaging, this is the only place I will go back to. The quality of the service, the professional treatment, the clean, waiting area,, the great staff, how professional, quick and easy their Tex are.     SOLID 5 STARS!!!…read more What an amazing experience I had at BayCare imaging. I had a 1:15 PM appointment to get my foot x-rayed. I was told to be there at least 20 minutes before my appointment. Since I am always early I got there at 12:40. I usually park myself but because I have a wonky foot I used the valet parking. I waited one minute for the attendant to come by and take my phone number and Text me my parking ticket. I went inside and checked in at the imaging desk and they took my phone number to send me a text message when they were ready to register me. I was told to take a seat in the lobby. I had just settled in when I got the text message that Rebecca was waiting to check me in! Rebecca scanned my drivers license, insurance card, & the palm of my hand. Then she had me sign some legal mumbo-jumbo and told me to go back and wait to be called for my x-ray. I had barely gotten settled again in my seat when I received the text message to see Amber to go get my foot x-rayed! Amber escorted me to the x-ray room took three quick x-rays of my foot and then gave me a free bottle of water and showed me to the door. The valet had just gotten done parking my car. I didn't even have to show him my ticket number. He went and got it. I waited one minute and then I was back on the road! Entire time spent in the Lansky Pavillion 15 minutes! I was back on the road before 1pm!

The manager is totally out of touch with day-to-day operations, letting staff do as they please and acting completely unprofessional. I was canceled twice the first time they said they didn't get the appropriate documentation or authorization and then this time they the day before saying the appointment has been canceled due to staff shortage.

    While the staff is very pleasant, the office is very poorly run. I have walked out of there 3X's…read moredue to delays in my appointments. This last time I even stopped in to schedule my appointment and stressed how I didn't want to be kept waiting and today again they weren't going to get me in on time. I personally find this to be very inconsiderate of their clients time. I'm still a working woman and taking time out to have an MRI which takes about 45 minutes is difficult for me. I had to move mountains to make it work. I was told to show up 15 mins in advance for my 8am appt so when I showed up the doors were locked. The kind lady who works the desk told me they open their doors at 8am and then we joked about the communication break down from one hand to the other. Then the X-ray equipment did not work. What was worse is they knew days prior but did not call me to reschedule. I would not be so upset if I did not have to juggle the calendar of others including my 90 year old mother with Alzheimers. I left and called another radiology organization to schedule my mammogram. Its too high risk to go here when they have old equipment that does not work. The staff was very kind and apologetic.
