Ramona/SCW was easily the best value for all of our wedding investments. From the first time we talked to her, she came off as extremely caring but unbothered by any concerns or stressors that were on our mind simply because she has seen it all and done it all before. She was our day of coordinator but was accessible when we had questions about timelines, vendor contracts, and miscellaneous other questions. She truly cares about all of her couples. She would always give you an opinion when asked for and reasons behind her opinions, but always honors your preference. This goes for her preferred vendors as well. She helped with our catering contract soooo much. People kept asking me if I was stressed about getting ready for the wedding, but truly I was not, since I knew from our first conversation Ramona would handle it all (and she did!). She worked with all of our vendors and made sure everyone worked together seamlessly including vendors she had not worked with before. She was also the perfect balance of chill and professional when it came to speaking with our wedding party and our families. I've been in weddings before where the coordinators were somewhat rigid and unfriendly but Ramona was the exact opposite of that! Our rehearsal was not stressful, she explained things so well, and gave us such great advice. She have a exquisite collection of items to choose from to make any occasion seem incredible and memorable. To my fiance's (now husband) horror, I played with the idea of renting a few pieces of decor for our rustic themed outdoorsy wedding over at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. She even suggested ideas for DIYs so that we can have personalized touches to our wedding. Adding/deleting items to my order was easy. Everything is soo cute that I wanted to rent everything. They do styling but I was not able to do the styling since Ramona was not available. I did have them deliver the decor to my venue so that I didn't have to worry about it. It was all pretty easy (as I keep saying). I did have a few guest comment on them so I know they were a hit! People even wanted to borrow them but of course it was not mine =( After the wedding, the only downer was that we did have 1 burlap that was stained and one that was missing...it was easy to replace. Overall I would do it again. Ramona and Janae are one of a kind. I must have looked at every vintage vendor in Northern California to find reasonable pricing for items I wanted at our wedding about an hour away from Sacramento. Most vintage places will make sure you meet a minimum before they even agree to rent out some of their items to you. When I say minimum, I mean hundreds of dollars to meet the minimum. If you were only allotted a fixed amount for decor at your wedding, this did not allow a lot of flexibility. I'm so glad that Simple Country allowed for their flexibility! Communication with them was organized and easy. You could book appointments on their website to check out their inventory. Once there, they let you in to their inventory to let you see what they got and what you might want. You jot it down and tell Ramona, she formulates a quote for you. Done! If you have changes, you can make changes up until I believe 6 weeks before the wedding. I can't remember, but I do remember having to make adjustments when we found out our venue had some vintage items we could use. Ramona graciously took those items off, no questions asked. Plain and simple. Early on, when I was planning for our centerpieces. I saw she had white lanterns but was not enough for the 10 wedding tables I needed them for. She went out and bought the extra ones for me so that I would have enough for the wedding. Ramona rented it out to me so I wouldn't have to buy them at retail price. When you are wedding planning, the last thing a bride wants to do is stress about white lanterns. Ramona took care of it for me. She gave me great ideas and validated my vision when I needed it. Pick up was very easy. You picked up the items Thursday and returned them on Monday if your wedding was on a weekend. The rate includes 4 day rental, which I feel like their pricing was very fair. Ours was on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. It was 4 day rental and we had until 5pm on Monday to return it. It was easy and stress free. The only request was she asked we washed the mason jars we rented for our center pieces and dry them. Delivery is a possibility but they no longer have their own delivery van as somebody stole it. So they do have to rent a truck and charge you for mileage. The return dates are clearly written on your invoice. Communication was honest and clear via email. They don't try to charge you hidden fees. Ramona knows that wedding planning is stressful and they really try to make it stress free for you. Thanks again Ramona! I had a great experience with Ramona and Andrea (via email) for my rustic rentals. Everything was affordable. I rented only a few items but it definitely spruced up my backyard ceremony. They have specific days and times for renting and returning items, but they were very accommodating after we got in touch with them. First off, this review is long overdue considering my wedding was almost 10 months ago! It's also my very first Yelp review ever, so bear with me! Ramona is a fantastic person who is incredibly easy to work with, is accessible and responsive to her clients, and genuinely cares about you, your wedding, and your budget. I cannot begin to count the amount of times I called/email/sent texts with questions, concerns, or middle of the night "freak outs" about something to do with wedding planning. Our wedding included 3 different locations on our family ranch, shuttling 250+ people around on buses, and turning our old working barn into an elegant event center. Needless to say, our country wedding wasn't so "simple!" It was a lot of work, and it turned out to be just beautiful. We are also certain we did SO much better budget-wise by working with Ramona than we would have trying to plan the entire wedding ourselves. Hire her - you will save money in he long wrong. We promise. Ramona always had answers to our questions, never made me feel like my concerns were annoying her (she's a saint for that. I think I started multiple messages with "I know some of these thoughts are crazy, but...") and was very good at calming my nerves and making a plan. Ramona has lots of fantastic connections from foral to lighting to restroom rental. If Simple Country Weddings doesn't have it, she can get it for you - and at a competitive price. You know you're working with an honest person when she tells you she has the items you want in her inventory, but it would be less expensive for you to rent/order from company X. UPDATE: Got an email that they were very upset I wrote a negative review. Personally i think my review is well spoken and doesn't speak ill of the company more of their practice. In my personal experience there was no solution offered for the predicament that was partially (mostly) their fault. I'm tempted to give them one less star for the I professional email but won't. I had a less than stellar experience with this company. I hate to leave a low review but there really was no solutions offered and no assistance from the company to fix the situation. This was partially their responsibility for not letting me know their pickup and return policy when i told them i was coming from out of town. The women were perfectly nice and they obviously have beautiful merchandise, however this company should not be used for someone planning a wedding or event who doesn't live in Sacramento. I live two hours from Sacramento and told them in my initial conversation that it was a destination wedding just outside Sacramento. Everyone attending is coming from a minimum of 2 hours away. I ordered an altar, signed the contract, paid my fee only to find out when trying to organize my pick up that i had to pick up Thursday and return on Monday. We weren't coming up to the venue until Friday and were leaving after the wedding on Sunday. They were going to charge me $350 to deliver it, couldn't arrange a way for me to return on Sunday or Saturday night. I spent weeks trying to figure out a way to make this work without paying the $350 delivery fee, adding an extra night at the hotel, driving home two hours and driving back, but there was no solution. All my guests were coming from out of town as well and there was not one person staying until Monday. The amount of stress this caused leading up to the wedding lead me to inevitably cancelling my reservation, having to change my entire floral design, and find a different altar. I wish i'd known before but perhaps that's my fault. When they said we had the altar for four days i assumed "up to" four days. Not only does having it for four days at a destination wedding create issues for returning, i was ultimately concerned for the condition i'd be able to return the altar in. I'd have no where to store it before or after the wedding, ultimately risking ruining the altar if the weather is bad. Please make sure you ask all the right questions before you hire this company. read more

I loved working with Ramona! She made the whole process a breeze and was so nice to work with. We rented a few things for our wedding in Portola (card box, dessert and cake stands, frames, pick a seat sign) and they gave our wedding the perfect touch! Ramona was also amazing and worked with us to schedule an early drop-off time sine we were leaving Monday for our honeymoon. She was understanding when we informed her we had forgotten a sign.
