This man came in saying he was qualified to do sheetrock repair where a tree had fell on the roof…read moreand we had lots of damage there was also the roof to be repaired which he brought somebody else in on they never finished the job and took advantage of the 70-year-old man with the beginning of Alzheimer's to get all the money out of him before the job was finished needless to say they never finished the job they kept saying they were going to so we let them do some work on the bathroom which was very small and needed to totally remodeled he left us with a brand new tub that won't hold water sheet rock dust all over everything, screws that have not been mudded or sanded seams of the sheetrock are so offset that there's no way to fix it rather than tearing everything out and starting over he just does not know what he's doing I can float out sheetrock I can hang sheetrock mud sheetrock and hand and float it out and he kept telling me because I knew construction finished. I left the bad review he notified my husband today that the remaining balance of $900 is due and it's not paid within 6 months he will see the lean against the property yet he hasn't even finished the job. I would not hire this man again and I recommend that no one else has him because he is inexperienced he has two 21 and 23 year old boys that he leaves on the job by their self and they don't know what they're doing any better than he does and he does. Oh and I forgot to mention the toilet moved from side to side it wasn't fastened down. Everyday he would tell us he would be through the next day and I would tell him there's no way you have too much to do and I would show him the repairs that he did not do right and tell him to do the rest of them right or it was not going to fly with me he ignored me so when he said the job was finished and I said no they're screws up there that haven't even been mudded you still haven't caulked the windows I pointed out to you and you said you would fix . Before he went to Lowe's I showed him that I had the bathroom faucet and a touch toe stopper for the brand new tub he said okay when he came back he had a whole faucet pack he didn't put in the strainer he didn't put in the stopper although we asked him repeatedly to he doesn't listen to his clients his customers he doesn't really care what they say and he gives you a Pity poor story about being from Haitian they're starving over there and he has nothing be careful he'll bring other people in and make money off of their money

In July of 2023, we had our separate 1-car and 2-car garage floors finished by Tru Grit. The end…read moreproduct looked fairly good as long as you didn't look too closely. Some repairs after the initial installation were required which gives the floor an uneven look in some places. After the installation, the solvent smell in the 1-car garage never subsided making it impossible to be in that garage for any length of time. The 2-car garage did not have this problem. Tru Grit came back and added another topcoat in an attempt to eliminate the smell but that only helped slightly. After 3 weeks, the 1-car garage still had a fairly strong solvent smell. After 3 or 4 months, the smell did finally go away. The installation crew was sloppy. During the installation they marred the baseboards with their equipment which required touch-up painting in many places. They slopped the base coat on some of the shrubbery and ground cover. They dumped some sort of liquid in the grass in two different places which killed it, and they got some topcoat on the grass in a third place which also killed it. I had the curbing installed around the perimeter of both garages and they didn't do any preparation of those surfaces, covering blobs of left over sheetrock compound and caulk instead of first removing them. I also had them apply the basecoat to the threshold of the front door and they slopped it onto the door trim requiring significant touch-up painting. Tru Grit did offer to take care of correcting these items. Three years later, the floor looks pretty much like it did in the weeks after installation with one exception - The portion of the floor that is outside the garage overhead doors has yellowed quite noticeably. I noticed on their website in the Q&A portion that they don't actually answer the question as to how resistant the coatings are to UV exposure. The coating is still in place, but I am here to tell you, it DOES yellow over time.

Buyer Beware: MP Unprofessional Painting…read more I'm posting this review of MP Professional Painting (should be called MP Unprofessional Painting) a year later than when I last used them because of how long the process took last year and I gave the company a lot of time to make things right. Since they've refused, it's my duty to post this buyer beware message in hopes of helping others avoid a truly negative and time-wasting experience. Pay close attention to the complete lack of contrariness by Rose through out this review. Not one apology the entire time. Since my cabinet supplier was only few miles from MP Professional's shop, I asked Rose if I could have the cabinets delivered to her location and she said that would be fine. After our kitchen island cabinets were painted and delivered, I noticed the outsides were well painted, however, all 2-door cabinets had the spotty paint on the inside of the opening, where it could easily be seen when you open the doors. Had the spotty paint been on the inside of the opening, where it couldn't been seen, it wouldn't have been an issue. Now that I had the painted cabinets in my home, Rose said they would have to come to my home and tape and spray (which I did not want to do). Since I didn't want the paint sprayed in our new kitchen, I saved MP Professional a lot of time and money, by buying some foam brushes and hand touching the inside edges myself. By the way, no apologies for the spotty paint and no thank you for handling the issue myself. I saved MP Professional loads of time and money by not having to drive 25 miles to my home, tape up my cabinets, cover key areas, and respray the inside edges of the cabinet frames. Some decorative panels and trim finally arrived from my cabinet supplier and I brought these items to MP Professional for painting (some were part of the original paint quote and some items were considered a new paint project). I picked up the new painted items and found the decorative panels were thoughtfully wrapped with plastic wrapping for protection, just like our cabinets. After unwrapping the decorative panels, I discovered they all had several large shiny splotches on the fronts and edges. This was caused by the painted items being wrapped too soon. I know this to be the reason because our cabinets were also wrapped in plastic wrapping and none of them had any splotches. I reached out to Rose to let her know I would need to bring back the items for repainting. Again, no apologies whatsoever. In fact, the conversation seemed like I was a pain in her backside. Then she went on, what became one of a few rants about, "This is why we paint items onsite". After placing me at the back of the priory line (it took over a month for her to follow up with me about date and time upon which I could bring back the pieces for repainting), I was finally able to drop them off. Because there was very little paint left after the island cabinets, decorative panels, trim had been painted, I needed to buy another gallon of $150 lacquer paint. Rose wanted me to pick up some moving blankets so the painted items could be wrapped in them instead of plastic wrap this time. I dropped off the decorative panels with the splotches, some frames from 2 microwave cabinets (new painting project), some toe kicks that just arrived from my cabinet supplier, and a pack of 8 brand new moving blankets. To be helpful to MP Professional, I told Rose they didn't need to paint both sides of the decorative panels (just the fronts and edges). She said they typically paint both sides. I said, "Okay, I was just trying to be helpful." Now, keep this mind for the next pick up. Approximately, 2 weeks went by and I was able to pick up the latest painted items. I got them home, unwrapped them from the moving blankets and no blotches on the decorative panels--yes! Unfortunately, all of the items had been painted with the wrong hue of blue. Everything had been painted 2 - 3 hues to light. I reached out to Rose again to let her know I would need to bring back because the color was way off and, again, no contriteness whatsoever. Keep in mind the incorrect color would not have been resolved whether they came to my home to paint the items or I brought the items to them. The fact remained I needed a second can of paint and their paint supplier screwed up. And, like last time, I said they could save themselves some time and money, by not painting the back sides of the decorative panels. However, there were 2 faux fronts and 2 small doors that needed both sides painted. Rose, again, said they always paint both sides. After getting these painted items home, I found all of them had been painted on only one side, including the small 4 doors I specified to Rose that needed both sides painted. In addition, they lost one of my custom cut toe kicks. I let Rose know and, again, no apologies and she never offered to replace the missing toe kick--just nothing, but silence. I finally gave up.

Pro Quality (LARRY IS A CHEAT). He took up work and signed…read morea contract for installating Kitchen backsplash and TV mount from me in Wesley Chapel, FL. The job was scheduled for Friday. Then suddenly, One day before the job, he asked 50% of the amount as advance payment. I paid him about 20% in advance without having met/spoke with him and agreed that remaining 80% would be made after the job is complete. All this while he insisted that he has 10 years of experience and is very good with this work. Then come Friday, he didnot show up.. On multiple followups he mentioned that he might not be able to come on Friday. I asked if he can come on Saturday. He said he will come first thing in the morning around 9-10 am. He finally came at about 2 pm and started working on kitchen backsplash. He then said i need to wind up early around 4.30 PM and went back with only few of the tiles installed yet. Here as well, he installed several tiles in the wrong direction. Then he said he will come early Monday morning. However on Monday, he didnot come and when i followed up with him on his eta around 11 am he said his car has broke down and he will come in afternoon. But he never showed up. He then said he will come Tuesday morning, which he finally came around noon. He then stick one line of tiles (worked very slowly) and around 5 PM said i need to go to Home depot as my glue is out. He then went out. And then he texts me from oustide saying I need remaining payment to buy materials. (The material cost here was already covered and way less than the initial 20% deposit). I replied that I will make the payment once you can come and finish it. But he never came back and behaved very rudely over chat demanding money in advance for work which he was not willing to complete. Many of the tiles he put have cracks, And he put the tiles in wayward wrong alignment all while saying that he has 10 years job experience. He ran away from incomplete job and texts me after going out of home and took 80% of the money completing only 25% of the job. This guy "Larry" is an aboslute cheat and doesnot know his work properly. I have never experienced such a horrendous customer service. Beware doing business with this guy LARRY!!
