We got hooked up with World of Floors when going through Costco to get our floors done. We wanted…read moreto get the old and ugly tile and carpet ripped out of about half of our house and replaced with something new and modern. Mike at World of Floors recommended a Shaw laminate product to us after we told him we wanted water resistant floors. We were assured that this Shaw laminate would fit the bill. The tear-out started in November 2013 and our floors were not complete until July 2014. There were may reasons as to why this took so long: - Not enough laminate ordered at first - Shaw laminate turned out to be an absolutely terrible product that chipped easily and swelled at the slightest taste of moisture (we had to take Costco up on their 100% satisfaction guarantee and get the laminate removed and replaced with Shaw Resilient vinyl planks) - Baseboards damaged during tear-out and not re-installed properly In summary dealing with World of Floors was pretty terrible. However, with enough prodding by Costco we were able to finally get a rather nice end result. Our new floors look great and the baseboards destroyed during the tear-out are back to normal.

They recommend contractors for other parts of the kitchen, but you can shop for countertops, plumbers, electricians etc on your own. This worked for me. My kitchen is beautiful and anytime I have had any issues they bend over backwards to help.

Take The Money And Run I got 3 quotes for sanding and clear…read morecoating our floors. One stupid high, one weirdly low and These guys in the middle. Read the reviews, even had a friend of a friend recommend them. Picked them. The good: Chris gave a good sales pitch; thorough, process and product well explained, yada. Also did a good job showing us how different shades and sheens looked on our floor. We were able to stay in the house because we had an in and out without crossing the flooring so we watched the day by day. Looked good throughout and when finished at first - the refinished floors looked awesome. Now, I am a little picky and we spent a lot of money on this. The bad: Attention to detail on the finished product. There are drip spots around the finished product. TTW told me those are permanent, the application mop drips during the process. So they look line drops of water on the floor. The original ¼ round was finished with 45 degree angles at open ends like around doorways, that was a nicer finish, when they replaced the ¼ round they chopped those at 90 degrees. When I asked about that they looked at me like I just stepped out of an alien spacecraft. The bad: Back to the ¼ round - they nailed in across my double French doors out to my lanai so we couldn't open the doors. I called times to get them to come out and fix that. 5 to the office, 2 of those were answered by a lady who said she'd pass along that message. 3 of those I left messages. The guy that referred TTW to me told the owner. Still no call back to me. Some guy just randomly showed up unannounced - yanked up that piece of ¼ round. We asked for a piece of finished threshold (they did this on our front door) and the guy said he would go back to the shop and try and find a piece that would match. Also, they replaced several boards and a couple of those are now no longer firmly glued down. Someone else wrote a review on this same thing. I Never heard from them again. Several calls to the office and owner's cell. Crickets. Zero, terrible non-existent post job customer service. Take The Money And Run

We just completed a replacement of all of the hardwood floors in our home. This involved the entire…read moredownstairs, stair case and upstairs hallway. It was a large project, and start to finish probably took three months. There was quite a bit of time spent getting floors chosen, contracts written, ordering the floors and waiting for them to arrive. Once the product landed, it only took about 2-3 weeks for the installation, and then several more weeks while we got the stairs refinished. All along the way, the owner of the Company Chris was very involved, and his right hand person Dennis was extremely patient during the contracting process. Their office is professional and never pressed us for money, but told us in advance what we owed and when. They knew they were one part of a larger renovation, and showed us a lot of respect. It was a pleasure working with them. Their crews are outstanding and I enjoyed having them come to our house. They always let us know what was going to be done, when we were approaching milestones, and despite warnings to the contrary from others, we never had to move out of our home or use offsite storage. They handled our furniture as if was their own and if we needed touch ups or the like, they never pushed back. Everything was taken care of as promised. They honor their commitments and take pride in what they do. We are really proud of how nice the floors look, and while they were paid a lot, they earned everything. I highly recommend them and as many of us enjoy using locally owned companies I wanted to get this review done promptly. They seem to take very good care of their employees. Our crew leader Paul did a fantastic job and has a lot of experience. That says a lot when you learn people have worked for the company for 15-20 years.
