We walked around the whole place looking at everything. They had tables, sofas, dressers, beds, chairs, and literally everything else! Obviously being a consignment store, this stuff is used, but it doesn't even look it at all. They had so many unique things inside. Upon reaching the end of our self-guided walk, we ran into Kimberly (I believe that's what her name was.) She was one of the workers, and gave us a run down on the store. She mentioned that the store gets a lot of new items quite often, and things get sold rather quickly! She also mentioned that items drop 10% every month I believe, with a max discount of 50% available. I thought this was pretty cool! Every item had some type of damage on it to the point where it you should just probably pay full retail instead of repairing it. Some of the stains looked like blood. I would be wary of buying anything here without looking through it with a magnifying glass first. I'm not sure why this place exists. I feel like you could find better quality for this price elsewhere. HomeGoods is also like 1/5 of the price. Then again, I don't understand high end furniture so I guess there's a niche market for everybody.

Our salesperson was not overbearing, allowing us to tour the store at our pace and only popping up when we needed him. He was always around when we needed him like magic! When we pulled into the parking lot, we immediately noticed the word "outlet" on the building. This had escaped me initially as furniture outlets just aren't our thing because they typically don't offer the quality we are interested in seeing. We went into the store anyway to inquire about specific brands and check out their selection. Although the salesmen were nice and helpful, the store just didn't have a quality selection of furniture. They actually showed us one sofa that they described as leather but this was not our idea of leather. It just seemed like a shiny plastic instead of a rich top-grain leather that you could smell and experience before you actually see it. If you have a very small budget and are looking for something to simply fill a space, this store might be an option. I ask her to check on the new one and let me know. No one called me back, so I called them back a few days later and they told me they cannot order a new one. So I went today take a closer look. Two different clerks were working and told me they would only take 10% not the 20% the other clerk offered to me. So I ask for a refund. One of the clerks issued my refund and did say, "I'm, sorry" and she wished me luck in finding something else. The other clerk stood at the counter and said clearly under her breath, "there is nothing to be sorry about." Well.... I sorry for your loss and any future sales to me, I liked your merchandise. We have popped into My Favorite Place a couple of times over the years in search of things we never knew we needed. MFP is a treasure trove of used items ranging from trinkets to furniture that are stacked from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, they even have pieces outside lining the sidewalk. To go back to the "flea market" comment, that is truly what the items here are. The store feels like one big yard sale with majority of the items simply being used and old, not really antiques or collectibles. Due to this and the way things are stacked and shelved, a lot of items are pretty beat up. They have a solid selection of furniture pieces, but again they are chipped and worn. If you are after furniture and plan to finish it yourself, then MFP is a solid option for you! Prices are fair and decent for everything in here, even the furniture. The pricing reflects the condition, so again if you are a DIY-er, then you can really find some great deals and good pieces here.
