I have been going to Joe with my mother since I was 15, and he's always been there to help her fill my childhood home work unique and beautiful items. He is also so very kind! A firm believer in "passing it on," Joe gifted me a small item from his shop with a promise that I would do a good deed for someone else that week like return. Now, ten years later, I returned to A Chattahoochee Antiques to purchase dining chairs for my first apartment with my best friend. I found a charming set of 4 iron wrought patio chairs that I recushioned. Joe helped me come up with a plan to do it all. I can't say enough about Joe or his amazing shop. Just happened to see this place from the shopping center across the street and decided to check one last place for something that would work as a storage/dining table in a small space. Not only was this bar cart/sideboard the PERFECT piece, but the entire store was so fun to explore. It's a great mix of gorgeous antique furniture, housewares, and the most interesting collectibles. My only regret about our trip here was that we didn't have the space to bring home more. Joe was so personable and helpful. He gave us a great deal on a table that is in such good condition. It's a solid piece of furniture. I'm not an antique expert, but I'm sure this is worth so much more than we paid for it. This place is one of those very special gems that you find on a chance search of the local area. My friends and I were in town for a music festival and were looking for something to do before it got going. Enter this fabulous place with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Joe was welcoming, greeting us with a big smile. He took time to chat with us sharing his knowledge, we told him how we happened into his shop and we just had an awesome time. Be sure to go outside too and see his specialized wrought iron and metal works. I walked out with a beautiful mini-sized replica of an old world globe that looks exactly like my full-sized one at home (except the little one doesn't open to reveal a bar- lol). This is such a fun shop with a lot of great finds! It is on the small side but it is packed with great quality antique items. I found the pricing to be within my expectations. The owner, Joe, is kind and a pleasure to talk with, and as another reviewer noted, he's not pushy! I always appreciate when I can wander around a shop and not be hounded for a sale. It was a comfortable shopping experience, and I'm looking forward to going back! There is plenty of parking, on this visit the inventory was mainly furniture items, lighting, outdoor patio, and home decor. There was also a curio cabinet with jewelry and other smaller items. When you walk into his shop you are greeted with a cheerful welcome - and then he steps back and you can browse to your heart's desire. He wears a mask - which made me feel safe. We've been eyeing this spot for a while since we live in the area and it turns out that the gorgeous window displays are just a TIINY glimpse into the treasure trove inside! Joe was so kind and extremely helpful. Super knowledgeable about where his items came from and the history behind them.
