I am distressed and shocked by this especially since I have been a patient for a long time and Dr. Larson himself considers himself by his own words to be Christ Like. My issue is entirely with the front office and billing process. At my first appointment, the office couldn't verify my dental insurance because they were using the wrong insurance portal. I ended up spending a significant portion of my appointment on the phone with United Concordia, walking the office staff through how to verify my coverage. Because of the delay, they only had time to complete the exam, and I had to schedule a second appointment for my cleaning. Later, I received another call saying my referral only covered a limited exam, but they had scheduled and performed a comprehensive exam instead. I provided my referral before the appointment and again when I checked in. If the referral didn't authorize the services they planned to perform, that should have been identified before my appointment, not after the services were completed. Now I'm being told I may be responsible for charges if the referral isn't updated, even though this was something the office could have addressed beforehand. To make matters more frustrating, I contacted United Concordia and learned they hadn't even submitted the claim yet, despite telling me there could be issues with coverage. When I asked to speak with an office manager to resolve my concerns, I was told they don't have one. The clinical care was excellent, which is why I'm not giving one star. However, the front office's handling of insurance, referrals, and billing created unnecessary stress and multiple extra phone calls. I hope they improve their administrative processes because the providers themselves deserve a much better support team.

The artwork on the walls is very tasteful. The equipment is state of the art. They have tv's mounted on the ceiling so you barely notice the time passing while having dental work done. If you need x-rays, they do them in the same treatment room with a handheld camera so you don't need to be moving all around. From the minute I walked in, I felt like it was a personal experience. Didn't have to do anything to check in, they immediately told me they'd take me back in just a few minutes (which they did), and they talked to me on a personal level remembering what we had talked about last time, asking about my family, etc. They either have amazing memories or take good notes, but either way it's nice to feel at home. The hygienist and the doctor both had excellent bedside manner while also being very informative of everything they were doing along the way. They are even very pleasant when telling you you need to floss more -- not at all in a nagging way! Haha :) During the visit, they took me to their pamper station where I got a paraffin hand wax treatment done to further the pleasant experience. On this visit I had less than 5 minute wait time both in the beginning to be taken back and when waiting for the Dentist. I would highly recommend Dr Baller's office to all!

I recently moved to Colorado and needed immediate dental care for a problematic tooth. Fit to Smile…read moreDental got me in the very next day, which I initially appreciated. I have a severe fear of the dentist and was very upfront about it; despite that, my experience here was nothing short of a nightmare. 1. In-House Insurance & Quoted Costs * They sold me their in-house insurance (around $300-$400), which was supposed to include two yearly exams/cleanings, x-rays plus discounted rates on additional work. * I was given a quote for a multi-step procedure to remove and replace my tooth. Everything seemed straightforward at first. 2. Conscious Sedation Fiasco * Dr. Redfearn strongly recommended "conscious sedation." He prescribed six pills, telling me to take two before the procedure, assuring me I would have "amnesia" and would not remember a thing. * I paid approximately $300 extra for the sedation alone. * On the day of the procedure, I followed instructions, but I was fully awake and aware the entire time. When I mentioned this, the dentist crushed two more pills and told me to put them under my tongue. Five minutes later, he proceeded--even though I clearly stated I was not feeling any sedation. It felt rushed, as though he didn't want to disrupt his schedule. 3. Payment Confusion * They insisted I pay in full before the procedure, giving me no warning until the day they needed payment. I was out of town until the evening. The next morning at the time of procedure, my friend drove me and handed over a sealed envelope with the exact cash amount I had withdrawn from the bank. * Immediately after the procedure, the receptionist claimed I was over $200 short. This was impossible. * When I called the next day, they doubled down, saying the manager had also counted and confirmed I was short. Finally, after I insisted they recount and told them I had the bank receipt, they admitted it was a "miscommunication." It felt more like they made a mistake or were trying to take advantage of the situation. 4. Lack of Post-Procedure Support * I was in significant pain and felt loose stitches. The on-call staffer told me I could either come in within the next hour before they closed or cut the stitches myself with small scissors. That was outrageous advice for a patient who just had a tooth extraction and bone graft. * I did come back in the next week, and the staff member said it was "healing fine." No real compassion or thorough check-up. She admitted that the follow up instructions they had texted me after I had to call to receive were incorrect and she needed to delete part and that was most likely the reason I had irritation. 5. Gaslighting About Sedation * At the next follow-up, Dr. Redfearn claimed I was snoring during the procedure, which was an outright lie. His assistant had admitted right after the procedure they were waiting for me to fall asleep but said I never did. * He even suggested that "sometimes people who weigh a bit more need more medication," but conveniently did not offer more pills before or during the procedure when I clearly stated I was fully alert. 6. Rude Attitude & Hidden Costs * The staff seemed annoyed and made rude comments about my outfit (a long-sleeve, long-length dress in winter) as I was leaving. * After initially telling me my in house purchased insurance plan would cover cleanings, I was suddenly handed a bill for $1,100 for a "deep cleaning." While I admit I do most likely need a deep cleaning, this was never mentioned in the original quote or during the first visits. I was taken aback and said I had to think about it. I left and the staff knew I was not pleased. 7. Zero Follow-Up & Record Discrepancies * I still had stitches in my mouth and never received any follow-up call to check on my healing or schedule the next step in the process. * When my new dentist asked me to request my records, Fit to Smile Dental avoided my calls for three days. I had to show up in person to obtain them. * The records did not accurately reflect the procedures, dates, or the sedation issues. It felt completely unprofessional. Overall, my experience at Fit to Smile Dental under Dr. Trent Redfearn was disturbing and unprofessional. From the botched "conscious sedation" to the payment confusion and rude staff interactions, I felt disrespected and misled every step of the way. I would not recommend this practice to anyone--especially those with dental anxiety--due to their poor communication, questionable billing practices, lack of compassion, and refusal to acknowledge or correct mistakes. I have since found a new dentist who is respectful, transparent, and genuinely concerned for my comfort and well-being.

Between moving from Arizona to Colorado, parenting a toddler, and having a new baby in November 2015 - I haven't had regular dental care. We found a great pediatric dentist for our son, and was referred to Dr. Freeman by his dentist. I'm so glad! The initial phone call was literally the best customer service I've experienced in ages (I work in customer service, so my standards are pretty high). Lisa was competent, warm, friendly and efficient. She scheduled my husband's appointment and promptly followed up with an email of new patient paperwork. Lisa also understood that my appointment would coincide with the birth of my second child, and made a note. Sure enough - I missed my first appointment due to the arrival of my new kiddo, and she helped me reschedule. The new appointment wouldn't be for a couple of months, but she offered to put me on the cancellation list - a way for me to be seen more quickly. Sure enough, an appointment was available the very next day - but I was stuck with both boys at home (2.5 years old and 3 weeks old!). She was very understanding and said it would be fine to bring them with me. Amy (my hygienist) was fantastic - I was due for a ton of new X-rays and she was very good - taking time to explain what our next steps were and my course of treatment after my cleaning. During this time, we had to rein in my toddler a couple of times (he did so well, but got bored a couple of times and wanted to walk around)... and of course, my newborn woke up during my cleaning. Lisa didn't even hesitate - she offered to hold my youngest son while we finished my cleaning, and even walked my oldest back to the waiting room to play with the toys. Insert my googly-eyes here. I was already nervous and worried about this whole experience, but Amy and Lisa went way beyond. They treated us like family. Dr. Freeman was also amazing. Very professional and friendly, and a pleasure to work with. I had no anxiety working with her (a problem I've had with dentists in the past) and look forward to my next appointment in the summer. After all this - my youngest son actually woke up and wanted to nurse. I don't mind nursing in public, but Dr. Freeman offered the use of her office to us. This way I could be comfortable, and my oldest son could sit with us. Again - incredible treatment of us like family. I'm so thankful we found Dr. Freeman and her team!
