I purchased two Samsung S22 phones from this reseller of refurbished phones on Ebay. One of the phones worked fine. The second phone had major communication problems requiring that the phone be returned. SimpleTech provided a USPS label which we used to return the phone. They subsequently strung us along with promises of repairing and returning the phone. They never did return the phone (essentially committed theft). After a simple Google search, it appears this company is in bankruptcy. So, it would be advisable to avoid doing business with them unless you want to lose your investment. read more

This company replaced the screen for $32.99 (which included the return shipping). The process was simple and easy. My phone arrived at their facility on 5/25/2017. It was repaired and mailed back on 5/30, delivered to my home on 6/02. You are required to provide your phone's PIN/password and to have the battery charged above 50%. I purchased glass repair for my note 5 via eBay and they did replace the glass but they bent the SPEN which I asked them to pay for a replacement pen - which they refused. I also noticed the the camera which used to take crystal clear pictures now takes pictures that are slightly blurry. I tried to leave negative feedback and eBay to alert other buyers but somehow they were able to have eBay hide my feedback. Really don't care about the money but I want to warn other potential buyers that they may damage you phone and will not be held accountable for the damage. Very disappointed with them. They were not able to properly fix our iMac. The computer went in with a failing hard drive. Asked for them to replace the hard drive and to re-install the files and replace OS with the newer version. They replaced the drive and sort of re-installed only a portion of the files. Everything was properly backed up for this computer via Time-Machine and Carbonite. Additionally they were unable to update the OS. I could have done all of this myself but opted to have them do it and spend the $$. To top everything off the fan is now running non-stop on the machine. It was not doing that before they went in. Long story is go to the Apple Store and let them do the work. Update from last post. I did take the iMac to the Apple Store in Syracuse NY. The hard drive that Simple Tech installed was NOT the right one. Since this was not the correct hard drive there was no way to hook the heat sensor cable to the "new" hard drive. So, since the sensor was not hooked up the computer thought it was overheating and the fans were ALL running FULL blast. Additionally, this was why the new OS could not be installed. The final verdict. Another hard drive replacement was the only solution. So we have now paid for two hard drive repairs. FYI -I did in fact call Simple Tech the day after the computer was picked up from their establishment. I told them the fans were running and making a lot of noise. Their response was that the computer was doing that when it came in and they thought it was due to the age of the computer. (we got the computer in 2011) It was not, trust me. However, what is more concerning is this: If it was indeed making that noise (which is VERY loud) you should call your client to let them know. read more

I would recommend them for very simple fixes. Cracked screen. Anything that involves opening your phone, simply go buy another phone. I took mine in to have the charging port fixed, the rest of the phone worked great. I picked up the phone, paid $60. The charging port worked with some manipulation, was far from fixed. It's what they Broke in the process. When I attempted to make a call the screen went black, the caller could hear me, I couldn't hear them. I returned the phone to them, they couldn't fix what they Broke. Still out $60 and had to buy a new phone. read more

I've gone to simpletech twice in the past nine months for the same problem and received a similar experience both times. Back in November I was starting to have trouble with my charge port. No matter which charger I would use, I would get an error stating that it was either charging slowly or not at all. I purchased a new charger and that also didn't work. I took it to simpletech. They actually kept my phone for several days longer than initially explained, and when I got my phone back it charged fine. Unfortunately, I learned a few days later that my mic and headphone port were nonfunctional, as both are directly connected to the charge port on my phone. I returned the phone to simpletech and they replaced the part with no trouble. While the initial wait and the need for a second repair was unexpected and inconvenient, the employees were friendly and helpful, and I would have had very little to complain about. Three weeks ago I began to have the same exact issue with my charge port. They ordered the part, costing me nearly twice as much as I'd paid only nine months before, and had my phone back to me within a few hours of dropping it off. The headphone port worked fine, but mic was now giving off a large amount of static for anyone on the other end unless I used speakerphone, before it died completely after about a week. I called simpletech on a Wednesday to ask if it was possible to drop it off so they could take a look at it. They said yes, and my father went to take it to them on his lunch break. They told him the part couldn't be ordered until the manager was available, which wouldn't be for a few days. I called on Friday to ask to speak to a manager and was told that the part would be available the next day. It was, and they repaired the phone and had it back to me within a few hours. As they had my phone, they had to call my father to let me know when it was ready, and they told him that this would be the last time they would replace the part if it malfunctioned, right before hanging up on him. When I arrived to pick it up, I was also asked by the employee behind the counter what I had initially needed the repair for, and I told him it was for the charge port. He proceeded to inform me that when he'd charged the phone prior to the initial repair it had done just fine, and that I should check my charge cords for a problem. All three of them. Which had apparently all conspired against me to malfunction at the same time, but work perfectly fine when charging other devices. Not only that, but if that were even the case I was never told that the $70 new part installation might not even be necessary, according to them. I'm not certain which to be more put off by. The fact that I've spent over $100 dollars in the past nine months to fix the same problem and having trouble with them both times, that they're now unwilling to replace a part that they both order and install if something goes wrong, or that they don't believe I'm capable of understanding how charging a phone works.
