Simplex's customer service is simply outstanding! The owner of this multigenerational company, Tony, is currently trying to figure out window treatments for unusual windows. It is not something he typically handles because of the window design, nor does anybody else for that matter, and yet he is going out on a limb for me. He has gone the extra mile so far wracking his brain, spending time researching potential options, conversing with various vendors, keeping me in the loop every step of the way...... for a job that may not even materialize. That speaks volumes! I would love to hire Simplex to do the job because I have never experienced such an outstanding work ethic. I've been burned by Lowe's incompetence with delivering a new sliding patio door last year. Then one day my cousin referred me to his local-family run windows installer. During the pandemic , they came, observed all current CDC precautions to measure and gave advice and selections. Deposit was made and order was placed. A month later, as promised, new custom door made in Canada arrived and was professionally installed. Installers were punctual, professional and efficient. Cleaned up after themselves and seamlessly replaced our old sliding doors without disturbing the stucco siding. We could not be more pleased. read more

I've had nothing but stellar service and the utmost professionalism from the Simplex team! From setting up the initial consultation with Rick to scheduling the actual install, to dealing with their install crew (headed by Kenny, Mike and David), it has been a stress free and pleasure to work with individuals who are not only great at what they do but actually LIKE what they do. The job was replace 29 windows, 3 new exterior doors, a new railing and a full back porch awning replaced as well. Every other company I reached out to, and there were many I reached out to, said the window replacements and the 2 doors were no problem at all but the issue was the half moon rounded top front door. Nobody wanted to touch it. When I called Simplex and spoke to Rick he didn't bat an eyelash of concern whether they could do it or not. They also rehung one of our security doors that was hanging pretty lopsided off its hinges. They hauled away the old windows and doors and kept it very clean and neat throughout the 2 days of work. Can't recommend them enough and will be using them for other contractor projects as well soon. read more

I had 2 entry doors and storm doors replaced. I called the office, Richard called back within a few hours, and I explained what I needed. We exchanged texts and emails and he was able to give me an estimate without actually coming over to the house (hello, covid). When I was ready to commit to the job, he came out to do the measurements, and after chatting a bit, he advised that what I thought I needed/wanted, I actually didn't, and gave me options that was much better on my wallet and still gave me the look I was going for. I was told it would take about 8 weeks before they can do the job, and exactly 8 weeks later, Richard called to set up the date/time for his guys to come over. Dave and Kenny showed up, did an amazing job. Efficient, timely, and cleaned up after the job was done. I was very impressed. If I should need other work done on the house, I will definitely be calling them again. read more

Simplex of Middle Village installs windows,doors,awnings,siding,blinds,shades,radiator enclosures,table pads. I used them to replace both my front casement windows back in 2005. Perfect installation and no complaints on use of window. Hell, even the caulking is still holding after 7 years...They broom sweep after completion. There men respected my home and furnishings. June 2012 They installed 2 frosted plexiglass awnings in the front and a jalousie storm door..Beautiful work.. Installation was again outstanding. Aug 2012 I've just ordered 2 more windows and thinking of installing an enclosure out back.. Rick is 1 of the owners of Simplex. I used this company to install 1 exterior door and 1 window. I can not express in words how horrible this experience was. The workers were so rude and unprofessional that I could not believe what was happening. Their office called my personal phone asking to speak to the worker installing the door. He proceeded to argue on my phone in my kitchen with his office. Afterwards he was yelling and cursing full volume in front of my house. When I confronted him and asked not to shout profanities and be respectful of me and my neighbors, he told his partner to start packing their tools up because I was a nut and they were leaving. If there was not a huge hole in the back of my house I would have kicked him out. I calmed him down assuming to get him back to work and put a complaint in with his supervisor. When the boss showed up he shrugged off the complaint and told me he has a really hard to finding good workers. Nothing was done. This company installs the same products as all the other replacement window companies, they are overpriced, their work was not very good and their workers were very disrespectful. There are better options out there. And they had to come back to reinstall the crooked window. read more

We had new storm doors and inside doors installed last Thursday. Fantastic job! Dave and Kenny were great. When they were done you wouldn't even know they were there. It was all cleaned and swept up, inside and out. They had to do quite a bit of repair work on the door way and threshold, especially on the back door. Everything was professionally done. Found Simplex through a referral from my next door neighbor. So happy a company like this exists. Family owned and operated and the customer service is top notch. Pricier than the stuff available at Crap Depot (aka Home Depot) however the quality and service is there to justify the cost. I had a entrance door installed and had a minor issue. The company is unwilling to address issues post window installation. Extremely rude on the phone. Punts responsibilities onto others. You call one guy and he tells you to call another guy and that continues. Terrible experience. Not sure how they might have decent reviews. By the way I rarely post reviews. Great service from start to finish. I was interested in getting a new security door for my home and called this company to inquire about an estimate. Rick came out to take measurements for a more precise estimate, gave me helpful information, and left me a booklet of available doors. I had reached out to a few other local companies just to compare, however, the others either didn't follow up or gave longer wait times for installation. Rick was professional and quick to respond back to my inquiries as well as giving the shortest wait time between ordering the door and installation. They called as soon as the door was in and asked if I was available the same day to install. It worked out great. The two installers that came by were friendly, professional, and ready to get to work. I wish I had gotten their names to give them much deserved recognition. I had them do a few windows in my house a few months ago. They're a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Not only are the windows gorgeous but the men were fantastic! The were extremely nice and very easy to talk to. They worked very hard and did everything perfectly. They went over and explained everything about the windows and work to us. I needed 3 new Security doors and a back steel entry door. Upon recomendation from my cousin I called Simplex. I went to their website and saw the doors I wanted. When Rick came he measured the openings for all of the doors, paid my deposit and ordered the doors as my doors are not standard size. Eight weeks later the doors arrived - two young gentlemen came at 9 and put in all four doors. I could not belive how fantastic and complete they did their work. My new entry door in the back with the blinds in the window is beautiful. They finished the woodwork around the door - put in a new metal saddle - then put the security door there to and finished the outside. My two front security doors Rick told me that wood should never be on the outside. Their workers removed everything and aluminum sided finish around the doors. I no longer have drafts in my back laundry room and the family room is no longer cold. I spent less on these four doors with the installation than the original doors that were put in by another contractor in 2009. My girlfriend came up to see the work and said she wants the same guys who installed my doors to do the work on her house when she calls them in March. What is great this is a family owned business who takes great pride in their work and if a problem arises they will come back and fix it for you. They were so clean and neat - cleaned up after they finished that you could not tell that I had work done. If you need work done do not hesitate to call Simplex and ask for Rick.
