After involving a Senior Executive at Insurance, things changed and the repair was approved to be completed by Ernest Egger and International Exotic Cars. The following review was also written under the name of Elle Auto. I was looking for potential auto shops close to home to service my car (as the dealership that I had been taking my car to is on the other side of town and not always the most convenient to get to), and came across Elle Auto in my google search. It looked like a good place especially with all the positive reviews and the statement on their website, "Our business idea is based on principles of strong ethics, respect and common sense." I believed what they said. When I saw a Groupon for two oil changes for $65 I thought it would be a great way to check them out. The decor is not one of your typical auto shop which was nice to see. This place seemed really "women friendly". They did my oil change in the time they said which was great. Afterwards Sylvie, (who I'm assuming is the owner) went over the inspection report and said most things looked good. I was told my oil pan had a leak and I needed two serpentine belts (one for the A/C and one for the alternator, and a new air filter. I was told it wasn't that serious as long as I get them done before winter came. Btw, I had this done at the beginning of August so I thought that was reasonable. She showed me an "example" of a belt that was cracked as well as an air filter, neither one was mine. They also say on their website, "We show you the broken parts and the work your car needs." hmm...That was fine, I figured no problem. She did not give me a quote at the time on how much any of this would cost. She just said it wouldn't be too much. So a couple weeks later I decided to call around to get some quotes for the work at a couple different places including the Toyota dealership I had been taking my Toyota to. The parts person told me there is only one belt for my car. I asked again just to make sure it was for both the A/C and the alternator and he said yes, it's one belt for everything. I thought that was interesting since Sylvie told me it was two belts I needed. Also, the sticker for the next service/oil change said November or 5000 kms which I thought was unusual since that is only 3 months away. In the past it has always been 6 months or 8000 kms for my car, whichever comes first. I called Elle Auto back to get a quote. For some reason Sylvie couldn't give me a quote right away like all the other shops I called managed to do. I thought it was really strange especially since they had my info on file from when I went for the oil change. It can't be that difficult if you know the work that needs to be done you should know approximately how long it will take and you're an auto shop you should have a source(s) you can get a price list of the parts needed. The hourly shop rate + the cost of the part(s) should be pretty easy to figure out. I'm no mathematician but.... It took 2 days for them to get back to me. Fine, maybe they were busy. Anyway, when I spoke with Sylvie I told her I think there's only one belt and then she argued with me. She was quite rude. When I told her I spoke with Toyota she said maybe they don't know what they're talking about...??? And then she said, "we don't make this stuff up." Really?! Apparently they do. I ended up taking my car somewhere else close to home and they were awesome!!! I re-confirmed that in fact there is only one belt for my car. And the leak in my oil pan is very minor they said it's just around the cap, but my oil tank was still full and there hasn't been any evidence of oil stains on my garage floor so it's nothing to really worry about until maybe my next oil change I can have it looked at again. Needless to say I won't be taking my car back to Elle Auto again. I will even forego the second oil change on my groupon that I paid for. I'm worried they might tell me something else is wrong with my car that really isn't...or even worse create a problem that wasn't there before. I don't have any trust in them and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Sadly, I can relate with some of the other not so great reviews about Elle Auto. I had high hopes for this place...so disappointing.

I've had my fair share of doubts with automotive shops whether it's within a franchised car dealer…read moreor a privately owned automotive shop. They never really show you anything other than the piece of paper that prints out from the computer screen. With Guaranteed Auto Care, I did get a sense that my car is in the proper care of a very well-educated technicians mainly because the four things I had experienced and/or witnessed while my car was under their care. First, they inspected my car from the suspension right down to the very core of the engine, now I know most automotive service shops are required to do a full inspection but as you read further down to this review, some will understand as to why this particular automotive shop differ from the rest, their actions towards the care for cars are second to none. Second note, when the inspection was done and the technician had come to a conclusion as to what my car's problem was, they ordered the genuine parts from the maker (ie. Honda Civic - T&THonda). Third, before they took my car apart they explained to me as to which part needs to be ordered and as to why it has to be ordered. Now at the time, I will admit, like the rest of the population, spending money to get a car fix by ordering parts and paying for labour is such a pain in the wallet when I dont really speak cars and know nothing about as to how each parts of a car work, but when I asked the technician if I may see it for myself before I agree, he invited me in to their work shop and showed me exactly as to where it was located, what it looks like, compare to what it should look like. Now even when they showed me, I still doubted and the technician went a step further, he then went online to the actual company of the maker of my vehicle and showed me what it looked like when it was being made. Lastly, when they took apart my car, they showed me the part they took out and compared it to the genuine part that is still in the box for me to see exactly what they were putting in and as to why my car was acting funny. I've tried going to franchised car dealers for them to have my car looked at, but honestly in my opinion, the atmosphere from Guaranteed Auto Care compared to dealership services Ive went to is that, with Guaranteed Auto, they dont just have some blonde sitting behind a desk playing candy crush while she prints a report that the technicians did and hope that they did their job. The technicians at Guaranteed Auto are the same people behind the desk and under the hood of the cars where they can explain things, not just being told what to say just to make profit for stopping by. OK, so I got a bit of a bumper scrape on my car, looks like someone backed out a little close, and scraped the paint. Just a little too deep to "buff" out. When I took it to Renu, the fellow I talked to gave me an honest quote, and his honest opinion. Being that we could fix it, but the bumper is plastic, so it wont rust, and given that my car has hail damage, fixing the paint on the bumper won't add much value, so it's just a matter of what I can live with cosmetically... Honest, and fair advice! Incidentally, I got a scratch repair kit and wax, and it is 70% better, so I suppose I won't bother fixing it, but I am super glad for their honest advice! It would have been easy enough to just take my money, but they chose to be good business citizens, and for that I am grateful! FYI, I did get a repair quote that was 10%, and 25% lower than the other two quotes I got, and the service was much friendlier, so I know where I'm headed if I decide to fix this anyway- or if any other scrapes pop up.

I have to admit I was skeptical and hesitant to take Sean up on the offer to pick my car up at my home for free to take it to a repair shop I had never heard of. Both Sean and the shop delivered service above and beyond and significantly cheaper than insurance quotes (based on past experience). My husband and I have told all our friends about this company and the service. We would NEVER consider going any other route in the unfortunate event our car needed damage repair.

After I had them pick up my car and bring it to the shop, the estimate for the repair DOUBLED. Based on that price, I would've rather found my own autobody shop with reviews I would be happy with, but as they already had my vehicle and the guy was very convincing over the phone, I decided to go ahead and get the work done. I'd like to mention that throughout this whole process, there is no transparency on the amount actually paid to the shop versus to autobody collision brokers. When my car was dropped off, I was given the option to pay with credit card or etransfer, to which I opted for credit card thinking at least I could get some points on my credit card back. I was given paperwork to sign on, which is where I made a mistake of not reading that the surcharge for the transaction was 4.2%, or $70. The guy that dropped my car off made no mention of this, and I would have absolutely gone with etransfer had I known. After catching this and calling the manager back, he informed me that there was no way to rectify this as the charge had already gone through, and the only thing I could do is to post a google review for a $45 cash back which they normally provide as an oil change voucher. This is quite obviously the reason for their high rating for google reviews. At the cost of not getting any money back, I decided to post an honest review of my experience with this company because if I had read even one, I believe I would've saved myself a lot of stress and hassle. Yes, they drop off your vehicle, but you are the one paying for the uber ride back for the guy that drops off your car (and his girlfriend, lol- yes that actually happened). Also, they charged a $25 "cleaning for delivery" fee, which I tried to refute as my car was full of dust on the interior and exterior upon drop off. When I tried to talk to the manager about this, he tried to say it was because the car had been left outside prior to pick up. Obvious BS as the interior of my car was full of dust as well, which was not the way it was when my car was picked up and does not happen with a car being left outside. Anyways, please please avoid this company and their shady business practices.

The housing filled with condensation and the entire headlight system stopped working low beam, high beam, turn signal, parking light, DRL all gone. I made it clear from the start that there was no visible crack, just internal failure, which Dented's own tech confirmed can happen from hail. That should have been enough. Instead, I was told the repair would be approved. Based on that, I canceled my dealership appointment at Mercedes Lonestar and waited. A full week went by with no communication. Then suddenly, I was told by Toniko, a decision-maker not even based in Calgary, that my headlight repair was denied because "there was no visible damage" and "it didn't seem likely hail caused it." Let me be clear that wasn't just a poor decision, it was a judgment call that questioned my honesty. I had been transparent about the details from day one. For Dented to suggest the damage wasn't consistent with hail despite every symptom lining up, and despite TD Insurance being fully prepared to cover it felt like a slap in the face. Worse still, Dented refused to even submit an estimate for the headlight to TD. That's the only reason the claim was shut down. Logan at Dented confirmed the part needed replacing and just needed photos, but apparently even that wasn't enough to move things forward within their own team. As a result, I wasted two weeks, canceled and rebooked service appointments, and I'm now paying out of pocket to fix something that was absolutely related to hail damage. The communication breakdown, the delays, the refusal to act, and the unspoken accusation that I misrepresented what happened it was completely unacceptable. If you value your time, your money, and your integrity do not use Dented.

I paid about $800 for the repair. After just under 2 months, the coolant was leaking again so I took the car back thinking that they'll fix it with minimal charge under warranty. NOT!! They wanted more money and said that the damage this time was unrelated and it will cost me another $300+ to fix it. I declined because I lost my trust to these guys. They still charged me almost $60 for just that. Good luck in your decision if you want to use this shop. They want repeat customers...in a negative way for me at least. No repeat here for sure..and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I know.

Had some brake work done on my Mercedes, about a year later the brakes were no longer functioning…read moreproperly? I contacted Tools in Motion and they told me the brakes were under warranty but wanted to do an inspection. Upon inspection, they noticed a slide pin had not been properly lubricated and the brake pads got stuck in one position damaging several parts including the alloy wheel. Here is where it gets good. The mechanic said they refused to warranty it because and I quote "There is no way my service tech forgot to lubricate this" they charged me for the inspection But wait it gets better. I asked them to price out the parts to fix it, an hour later I hear back and they want 850 dollars using aftermarket parts. I priced the parts on the NAPA website and they came to 325 dollars. Will never use this garage again, after spending thousands of dollars on several cars they have the audacity to treat a good customer like this. Never again
