Laser Hair Removal Experience - Disappointed and Let Down…read more I'm writing this review to share my factual, lived experience with Laura so others can make informed decisions. I was a loyal, trusting client who purchased a full body laser hair removal package that included 8 sessions and one additional if needed. Despite this, I was only provided with 8 total sessions -- yet she falsely claim I received "10+." I have detailed records and time-stamped screenshots that prove otherwise. My first session -- done with single pulse mode -- was the only one that produced significant results. When I asked to continue with that mode, Laura (the tech) refused, saying "it takes too long." She used glide mode for the remaining 7 sessions without my consent. Treatments were rushed, poorly done (missing many areas), and produced minimal results. She later admitted in writing that I had made the request for single pulse mode and that she dismissed it. Instead of respecting my preference and safety, she increased the laser's intensity on a mode I didn't consent to -- putting my skin at higher risk for burns or irritation. At one point, Laura seemed open to fixing things. She said, "I truly want to make this right, earn your trust back, and get you results safely and comfortably," and "I never want you to feel taken advantage of or dismissed." But that follow-through never came. Now, both she and the owner of Lovella, Ella, have become cold and uncooperative -- refusing to take accountability or offer a fair solution. When I spoke up, they changed their narrative. They now claim I "rescheduled too often," despite me following the proper 4-8 week timeline between sessions. The 9th session -- part of my original package -- was never delivered, due to their delays. I followed all pre- and post-care instructions exactly. Ella, despite being the business owner of Lovella, who accepted my $2,000 payment, has tried to frame the issue as "between you and Laura." That's unacceptable. The business is hers, and the technician (Laura) worked under her name. I also raised concerns about burns and irritation, which were dismissed without even examining the affected areas. They've since tried to blame me with false claims about doing "home skin treatments," which I absolutely did not do. If they're referring to over-the-counter skincare, none were used near appointments - and certainly not in a way that would invalidate professional results or cause burns. To top it off, Ella ended her message with a veiled threat: "If you choose to leave a negative review based on inaccurate claims, that is to your discretion." Let me be clear: every claim I've made is backed by dated screenshots and written communication. I was denied services I paid for, gaslit, and treated dismissively when I voiced concerns. I asked for a fair partial refund or additional sessions done correctly by someone qualified -- and they refused. Their most recent response was not only dismissive, but full of contradictions. They told me not to contact them by phone (only by email), yet Ella previously asked to have a phone call about this issue. Plus I have never called them about this... Laura now claims she no longer works at Lovella, even though Ella had just told me she works part-time. Which is it? Worst of all, they continue to ignore my documented concerns about burns and ineffective treatment. This entire experience has been frustrating and deeply unfair. I'm not sharing this out of malice, but to protect others from going through what I did. Even now, they are trying to intimidate me into silence. I no longer trust Laura with something as vulnerable as my body, and I encourage anyone considering treatment there to proceed with caution. Final Note: I've stayed respectful throughout and was open to a fair resolution, but they dismissed my concerns and refused to engage further. I'm only sharing this publicly because they left me no other option. I used to love Lovella. This experience has been soul shattering. The betrayal is what stings the most...

This is after she spent 4 hours (two sessions six weeks apart) working on my eyes. My eyes are now a mess, and when I sent Sammy these pictures, she accused me of wearing makeup/doctoring the photos. In these photos, I am not wearing a stitch of makeup. There is ink smeared all over the place making my eyes look purple. On one eyelid, there are spots where the ink is missing. On the other eye, the line is thick and comes down way farther on the outside than on the other eye. Both lines are quite crooked. The photos don't capture everything nearly as well as seeing my eyes in person. I have made countless phonecalls around Ontario, and have learned that laser tattoo removal is too dangerous to be done on eyelids, so this is now the result I have to live with. I wanted tattooing because I am not great with makeup and thought it would make my daily makeup routine simpler. Just a little mascara and I would be good to go most days. Now I have to apply concealer several times a day, as it wears off quickly, just to try and cover some of the mess. I feel very self concious in public and am embarrassed for anyone to see me without full eye makeup now. I reached out to Sammy asking for compensation, but she wasn't willing to give me back even a small portion of the price I paid her to tattoo my eyeliner. In my opinion, she should be accepting some responsability and be willing to compensate me in some way. Please, if you are considering giving your business to Lash and Brow by Sammy, reach out to me first. I would be happy to let you see my eyes firsthand before you make a decision about spending your money at this business. If there was an option to not give this business a star rating at all, I would choose that, but I must give at least one star to post this review so it is what it is.

Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

She helped…read moretreat my mother to a truly professional, clean and enjoyable eyebrow microblading experience. While browsing places to get microblading done for my mom, I came across Oh My Lash and Brow on Yelp. What stood out the most, were the before and after pictures of Heidi's previous clientele. Add in the $250 for $450 voucher and the relative close distance to my house, and I was sold. Next, it was easy calling in and making an appointment for the next day; and Heidi gave useful directions over the phone, for getting to her unit number within the plaza - she is located on the second floor; & once you get up the stairs, there are large signs above each door in the hallway letting you know of which business is which. The overall process took about 3 hours, with the majority of the time being spent on the pre-procedure tasks including: initial information session on microblading, consultation, and sketching of the eyebrows. My mother is a very picky woman so they had to be perfect before we could move on haha - I appreciate Heidi's patience. The actual procedure took anywhere from 30-60 minutes and a lot of numbing agent is applied to the area before and during the procedure to eliminate any pain sensations. Heidi also continually checked in with my mom asking her if she was ok and/or feeling any pain. Another great point to mention was Heidi's obvious knowledge and experience performing this procedure. She gave us plenty of information in the beginning regarding risks, signs of infection to look for following the procedure, and she was sure to explain the sterility of the microblading tools she would be using. [Cool to note that she even staples the freshly opened package to each client's consult form.] With my mom and I both being nurses, we were very happy to see that detail and attention were put into the health safety of the procedure, which involves needles and the breakage of skin, therefore carrying a high potential of transmission of infections. Overall, my mom and I were very happy with the results, the entire process and this wonderful microblading experience with Heidi. She gifted us with another voucher to help spread the word and I will definitely be sure to pass it to a friend. It is well worth the time and money spent! Thank you again Heidi for your professional and courteous service, we will see you again in 3 months time for the first follow-up!
