But the sensitivity of the teeth were getting worse, so I went back to him, he said there might have bubbles in side of the filling( why there're bubbles? bad operation and skill I guess). So he made another appointment for me. Because of this appointment, I lost my job, ironically, when I went to the office for my appointment, the casher said Dr Schneider wan't in the office, he's on his vacation in Dominican Republic or whatever. So, I lost my job, my health insurance, for that appointment, but that guy forgot it, and was on his vacation?!! After that, I didn't blame them, things have happened, I let it go. I just hoped that my teeth get right treatment, so I could eat food without any pain. So I made a new appointment with him, he did refilling, after that the right side was good, but the left side is still sensitive. A few days later, my implant crown next to the sensitive tooth on the lower right fell out. I don't know why it fell out, maybe when he filled the sensitive tooth, and grinding, made the crown loose. So I had to made appointment again to put the crown back, it fell out again a few days later after was put back. so I made appointment again, I asked him to get a new crown, he gave me a quote for a new one, its total about $ 770 with insurance, and $1100 without insurance. I told him my insurance would end on May, so I tried to get it done before it ended, he agreed. I paid $150 to place the order, few weeks later, he put new crown on, but I was still charged $770. I should pay $770-$150=$620, because I prepaid $150 already. So I asked them why, they blah, blah, blah. During the time he put the new crown on, I told him, the left side is still sensitive, then he said that there may have a crack inside, and asked me to see a specialist. And he complained that he's never had a person's teeth with this kind of problem that I have. Yeah, maybe you just don't know much. My problem with this doctor is not finished yet. So when he put this new crown on, it needed to shape the crown to get the good bite, and fit. But, when he grind the crown, he grind the neighboring teeth too, I think he didn't mean to do that, but it just showed his bad skill on job, and carelessness for patients . They hurt, after his treatment, my good teeth became bad, and my bad teeth became worse. After all of these unpleasant experiences happened, I told myself that I forgive him, because he's young and maybe really don't know much about what he does, I just don't go back to the office again. But, today, I got a bill from this dental office, and shows I own them $389.29. I didn't sue them for all trouble they caused for me, instead, they are asking for more money from me. I had a credit on my account based on them messing up a charge, which seems to be a recurring theme. No problem, I had work coming up and figured I would use it. My appointment comes and somehow they used my credit on my wife's service without either of us knowing. We don't even have the same insurance and she has an HSA just for this, so deciding to use my credit based on our home address is wild. I let it go. Then she has more work done and once again they send me the bill instead of her and even try to change my insurance. I call, they apologize, and then a month later they send it to collections anyway. Last straw. They sort it out eventually after a lot of unneeded stress and no apology/accountability. I tell them to close my account because they were mediocre to begin with and find a new dentist (note: 5 years later, Dental Health Care Associates in Aston, better service and they can still count, zero billing errors!). My wife stayed at this place because she loves Grace. I have never met her but apparently she walks on water. Fast forward 4 to 5 years later and I get a new bill for service in March. I have not been a patient in years, obviously they started trying to charge my account (instead of my wife's insurance) again. I call and explain that and they still try to pin bills on me instead of charging the actual patient, no apology no empathy, just more excuses. They even said my name shows up as "do not call" in their system, and somehow I am still the one getting billed. I hung up, they had no power, it isn't like I am a patient... they called my wife and sorted it by actually charging the proper account! At this point it is just impressive. Five years later and still the same issues. I wish I could give a negative star. I hate these guys!

Timeline of Events as follow: Nov. 2023 - I had a consultation was provided with a quote, during consultation I asked all questions and advised on my needs in order to make a decision as whether or not to do business with them. Dec. 2023 - I go into office for fitting at which time receptionist produces bill that is $150.00 in excess of what I was quoted. I bring this fact to her attention. She goes to office manger who advises that as a courtesy they will write off the $150.00. In my mind I'm thinking this is not a courtesy and where did this extra $150.00 come from? Dec. 2023 - I pick up product and it's incorrect color, Aspen agrees to remake it. Dec. 2023 - I pick up remake 7 days after. Jan. 2024 - Less than a month later the product breaks. Aspen advised they will remake. Upon picking up the remake I advise them that there are minor modifications I need which I was told can be done by the in house tech. The receptionist is adamant that it must be done by the doctor and gives me an appointment with the doctor. Jan. 2024 - Day of the appointment I am notified by Aspen that they need to cancel the appointment due to the doctor not being in due to sickness. I advised the receptionist that I don't need to see the doctor I need to see the tech again receptionist is adamant that appointment is needed with the doctor. Jan. 2024. - A few days later I go in for scheduled appointment only to be advised that the tech is not in and the doctor cannot handle. So I'm again given another appointment. Jan. 2024 - I finally have the appointment with the tech whom when making the requested modifications damaged another section which now resulted in them having to do another remake. Well as of today I went in for appointment to pick up remake. I requested two modifications which again I was advised the in house tech can do. I'm sitting in the chair I overhear the Dental Assistant conversing with tech about the modifications that I was requesting. The technician becomes unhinged screaming at the top of his lungs that he is not doing another remake (mind you I didn't request a remake I requested a modification) and how he is done with this. From there the Office Manager comes in telling me that the Doctor will be in. I first advised the Doctor of my dissatisfaction with the tactless unprofessional behavior of his technician and further advised that the technician owed me an apology. The Doctor continuously tried to justify the behavior of the technician. Further along in conversation I am giving the Doctor back his words with respect to modifications that he told me could be done in house. The Doctor becomes extremely annoyed advising me that he does not like the fact that I am continually saying "You told me", I'm thinking to myself this is weird and everyone in this office is weird. Trying to remain calm and refrain from using trigger words, I communicate to the doctor the very minimal modifications I needed done, the Doctor says that he can do them. I then question if he the Doctor could do them what was the issue with the tech doing them? The Doctor responded perhaps he doesn't know how. Ultimately I expressed my dissatisfaction with the practice a whole as well as the product received. I was offered a refund which would have required me to leave the product which wasn't a doable option. I did express to the Doctor that I would be filing a complaint with the PA Attorney General's Office. At this point the Doctor became unhinged, and in doing so the behavior of the tech was understood as behavior start with the head. Unhinged Boss produces an unhinged worker. The proper way this should have been handled would have been for the Doctor to apologize for the horrendous experience from inception to present , and to offer a full refund without requiring me to leave the product.

I've been going to Dr. Cook since 1991- I had a MASSIVE overbite, and impacted eye tooth and four…read moreimpacted wisdom teeth. I was an orthodontists dream- my mouth is probably worth upwards of $20,000 at this point for braces and surgeries combined. In '91Dr. Cook had a small practice with four chairs and one or two hygienist assistants but came highly recommended in the neighborhood. Now, almost twenty years later, the office has expanded to eight regular appointment chairs, he's brought in another Doctor and two or three main assistants (I know Laura is one- she's been there at LEAST as long as I have) as well as about ten other assistants. There are two things I can mention about Dr. Cook (fondly, of course) First, he calls everyone "Dear" (he's become known as Dr. Dear in my family). More importantly, however, patients will quickly discover the pride he takes in his work- I recently went back after a seven year hiatus because my permanent lower retainer was causing me gum problems and instead of removing it like I wanted, he encouraged me to do it the right way, preserve the work he did ten years back and got me three sets of invisalign retainers (only charging me for the lab fees) to move those suckers back into place, removed the retainer and put a new model in. He's just good- and takes pride in his work. I was reading one of the articles from Best of Philly hanging in his office (he's been named best ortho for countless years) and this year I noticed he'll turn 60- so I'm curious what his plans for retirement are. I hope that after many years of bring the right people in to work with him the practice will move on in the spirit of his work (especially since my kids will more than likely inherit the snaggle teeth that both me and my husband seem to have...)!
