The best. The best I've had to date. Or in the words of Drake "the best I ever had" on repeat…read more Here, that refrain is warranted. I used to be a diligent frequenter of Tobi Tobin in Malibu for their chocolate. I never knew it was simply John Kelly marked up!! My goodness. That was a shock and relief all at once. I was so grateful to find my beloved chocolate AGAIN after TT closed but was shocked I was buying from a secondary distributor who did not disclose. Mind blown. Regardless, so grateful for this super decadent chocolatier on Montana. I love it so much I stopped in on a work trip when back in LA to gather my faves and my husband collected me some upon his recent trip back. I had a delightful chocolate bunny for Easter. Goodness it's just the best. I love the chocolate walnut and the marzipan I tried recently was a new introduction and a delight. Their chocolate embodies the joy of life. Each bit is pure pleasure! Have sent it as a gift and plan to get more as a gift on a future trip. Their chocolate does not disappoint. I adore!

It's a great client gift, and if I want to impress family or friends and make them feel a little extra special, this is what I buy. I do wish it were a bit more affordable--of course--but I also understand why it's priced the way it is. You really can't go wrong. It tastes amazing, the quality is excellent, and the staff is always kind and helpful.

A rainy Sunday and hot cocoa? Yes and yes again…read more Found this little gem on a rainy Sunday when looking to get hot cocoa somewhere.. Greeted with warmth when entering. When ordering, you know you're at the right place when they explain their process with pride. They don't just mix a processed chocolate powder. j'adore ! And the Chocolates?! Rich and delicious ganaches, pralines, and other handcrafted sweet treats. They said new seasonal flavors will be arriving in two weeks? Will be back! TLDR: Quaint little chocolatier/cafe, so very European vibes, like the kind you stumble upon when you're actually lost in a small European town. We love it. Warm and friendly people. One of the most decadent, rich and satisfying hot cocoas and artisan Belgian chocolates in town.

EUROPEAN HOT CHOCOLATE HEAVEN…read more When you go to Europe you discover hot chocolate (or "drinking chocolate") as it's meant to be--dark, rich and thick. Yet I'd basically given up on having good hot chocolate in the LA -- until I went to Lady Chocolatt today. The charming, old-fashioned shop has a wide selection of Belgian chocolates of all kinds. Then, in the back, you can order hot chocolate: their classic (a mix of 50-70%), their extra dark (70%) and other varieties I didn't notice because I was too focused on the "Extra dark" 70%! Next, it's run by the owners who clearly love making chocolate and bringing it to us chocolate-deprived Angelinos! It's rare to get this kind of personal touch at any shop these days, but in the case of chocolate it makes you feel like a guest at a the home of expert chocolatiers! They have patio seating in front--and also a more covered patio along the side that's a sweet place to sit, sip and chat. A European cafe like experience right here in LA. The hot chocolate is very rich, so even the "small" size (an extremely generous 12oz) is probably more than you'll drink in a sitting, in which case they offer to put it in a to go cup so you can take it home. Once refrigerated it becomes as thick as chocolate pudding. IF YOU LOVE CHOCOLATE, COME TO LADY CHOCOLATT!!!

Still, it sounded worth a trip to the mall to check out Laderach. In a word, Yes. Hailing from Switzerland, their chocolate strikes me as rich and delicious, and not ridiculously expensive. True, some of their chocolates are more expensive than others. But, I was able to find something that seemed just about right. I love how they wrap the chocolate, too. There's a ribbon and a pretty bag to walk it out. This is perfect for a gift - or maybe something special for your own self. They offered samples, too, which is always a great idea. I can think of a California chocolate institution that does that, too. And while I might have considered the other company, Laderach was easy to get to and certainly has the goods. Highly recommended. Staff was friendly, informative, and helpful, too.

ONE STAR -- An absolutely appalling experience…read more I have shopped at Läderach many times and have spent a considerable amount of money here over the years, particularly on Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, and special occasions. After my experience this evening at the Century City location, I will never spend another dollar in this store. I was using a mobility scooter because I am currently having significant trouble with my knee. The store is quite small and was busy, so I waited patiently for things to clear out enough for me to comfortably enter and maneuver the scooter. Once inside, I was essentially treated as though I were invisible. There were two employees working a female employee and a man named Jordan, who identified himself as the manager. Both of them saw me. Both looked directly at me. Neither acknowledged me, greeted me, asked whether I needed assistance, or made any effort whatsoever to help me. What made the situation particularly upsetting was watching customers who came in AFTER me receive attention, assistance, and even samples while I continued to sit there on a mobility scooter being completely ignored. Eventually, after the female employee finished helping someone and was no longer occupied -- and still made no attempt to acknowledge me I asked to speak with the supervisor. Jordan came out and identified himself as the supervisor in an incredibly dismissive manner. I explained that I was sitting there on a mobility scooter, that I had been waiting to be helped, and that both employees had repeatedly seen me while helping people who arrived after I did. His response was to tell me there was a line and that I needed to get in it. That response was astonishing. I had been there BEFORE several of the people they chose to assist. More importantly, when you see a customer using a mobility device in a small, crowded store, basic courtesy would be to acknowledge that person and ask, "Can I help you?" Instead, I was ignored and when I finally spoke up about it, the manager responded with attitude rather than concern or an apology. And Läderach does not have to simply take my word for any of this. If this location has security cameras, I encourage management to review the footage from this evening, approximately 6:50-7:10 p.m. The footage should clearly show me entering and waiting on a mobility scooter, the employees seeing me, other customers arriving after me and being assisted, and the length of time I sat there without anyone offering to help me. I would actually welcome management reviewing the footage because it should speak for itself. I cannot know why I was treated differently, but I can say exactly how it felt: humiliating, dismissive, and deeply disrespectful. This is not the level of customer service I expect from a premium chocolate company or frankly, from any business. The irony is that I wasn't someone wandering in for a free sample. I was a returning customer who has purchased Läderach chocolates as gifts many times and has spent a significant amount of money with this company. Not anymore. There are far too many wonderful chocolatiers in Los Angeles for me to give my business to a store where a customer using a mobility scooter can sit in plain sight, watch people who arrived later receive service, and then be spoken to dismissively by the manager when she finally asks why no one will help her. Läderach Century City has permanently lost a customer

What a wonderful find! This is as much an experience as it is a chocolate shop. I love a place with…read morehistory. Foodie gang, put this one on your to do list. First of all, the store itself is divinely decorated. It's elegant, inviting and feels special the minute you walk in. Very storybook Beverly Hills. Collin took me through a tasting, starting with the orange-colored Speculoos (heaven), then yellow Passion Fruit (divine), followed by chocolate PB&J( the real deal) and finishing with the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut. Every single one was extraordinary, completely different, beautifully balanced and almost too gorgeous and fine to eat. Perfectly balanced and petite yet soooo filling. Then I left on my way with the loveliest little takeaway bag containing Salted Caramel, Double Yuzu and dark chocolate orange peels. Those orange peels may be my most favorite thing of all, especially straight from the refrigerator. I already want more. OMG I also had the chance to meet one of the sons behind andSons. His name is Mark. I loved hearing about the family and the story behind the business. There is something really special about what they've created here. Elena, Collin and Mark all love this place to pieces and it shows. Typical gift takeaways: They have everything from an easy six-piece gift set and four-piece sampler to gorgeous boxed collections for Valentine's Day, holidays or really any occasion. Collab decorative boxes done by unique artists. My family will definitely be getting andSons boxes for Christmas this year. And high recommend- - let me tell you something if you are going on a first date in Beverly Hills, pop in here and get your date a sweet treat. It will be a special classy impressive treat they won't forget and worth the drive. FYI. There's also a walk-up coffee window, which makes it an easy stop when you just want something to take away. And during these hot summer days, they have ice cream too! I didn't try either but the place was hopping with regulars outside. Felt very Parisian. This is absolutely the place to come for a sweet little treat for yourself or a beautiful special gift. And the pictures truly speak for themselves. If you think these chocolates look beautiful, delicate and elegant, just wait until you taste them. They're even better. I am rationing the ones I have left in the fridge until I can get back to store! Can't wait to go back. Dark chocolate orange peels are waiting for me! (IYKYK )And you!
