i broke two crowns on #6-7 teeth. I went to a dentist in Marble Falls, Texas on the 12th and was equated $4000.00 plus change for two crowns and was told I may need root canals so I had to be prepared to pay more. ( I knew at that point that he was preparing me for more unnecessary work) Well I got out of there ASAP and found Simply Crowns in San Antonio and am I glad I did. Yes I was close to needing root canals but the Dentist told me there is a chance we could fill the cavity without hitting the nerve. I said let's do it and if needed I would understand. He took his time and did the cavity fill WITHOUT hitting the nerve and he felt very confident I'd not have a problem with it as do I. I could go on and on but finding a dentist that's honest and shoots straight was my lucky day. I am more than happy and HIGHLY recommend this place. Walk out price $698 per tooth. EVERYTHING. Dr. Poest is skilled and does good work. Unfortunately, Simply Crowns is associated with tooth implants that lack integrity. Due to bad results from their surgeons, I gave them a bad review, which severed our relationship. They wanted $6,000 to remove a good tooth and install an implant when the problem was a failed implant next to that tooth that they had installed. A periodontist cleaned it up, installed a proper implant, and the total charge was less than Simply Crowns. Most important was the vast difference in surgical proceedures. read more

I had a great experience at simply crowns. I had to get two at once, and the dentist was awesome. I felt no pain at all. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming. I had to call a couple times with questions about my temporary crown and they were easy to get ahold of and answered all my questions. Went in for a third tooth to be cleaned and crowned as recommended work by my dentist. They took many X-Rays and determined no work was required.....did not charge me anything for their work. I am so happy I came to Simply Crowns for my dental crown. I went to a 'franchise' dentist earlier in the month and was quoted $1300+ out of pocket. I decided to look around for other options and found this office online offering dental crowns for half of the price. $599 included all of the work needed to get a crown for my bottom molar. The office is welcoming and they make you feel comfortable. They even played some good music while working on my tooth- which was a nice distraction from the drilling noises. They are a new start up. However the owner(s) have been practicing for a while. They left their general dentistry practice to focus on crown, veneers, bridges and implants. I really like the concept. My crown fell out due to my former out of state dentist faulty work (which I paid $1800). I called my regular dentist and the earliest he could see me was five days later. I saw a commercial about simply crown and called them. They fit me in at the San Marcos location. This was last week. Dr. Poest put my permanent crown in today. It was a painful process but they got me in right away both times. I'm really appreciative. I'll let you know if my crown stays in. The practice is great for anyone who needs a crown or bridge or just want a nicer smile with veneers and pay half the price of other practices. They cut the middle man to lower the cost. I was kind of worried about the quality of care and products. I would rather pay $1600 if that means better quality. However Dr. Poest put me at ease. I'm happy with my second new crown. I used Simply Crowns around two years ago shortly after they opened in San Antonio. I have no dental insurance and was shocked at the crown estimate given by my dentist. I would recommend Simply Crowns to everyone! From the time I entered the office until I left the office the entire staff was very professional, accommodating, and happy. The reason I went to them in the first place was because my dentist office wanted to charge me $932.00 after insurance for a replacement crown. I just didn't want to pay that much for a crown. Then I heard an advertisement on WOAI in the morning and called them for an appointment. So $599 paid for my crown and I still have to file with my insurance company and I will get some money back from that process. Unbelievable! It's worth giving them a try. I needed a crown and couldn't afford the arm and leg other places were going to charge. Simply Crowns is affordable, their staff is friendly and helpful, and the dentist is very gentle and seems very experienced. I don't numb well and have had issues at other places but he was able to sufficiently numb me without causing too much discomfort.
