Anya - 1/2 pound lobster special

The space is gorgeous, the vibe is elevated without being stuffy, and on most nights the service really shines. It's the kind of place you want to love. But our Easter brunch left me feeling more "hmm" than "wow." We opted for the 7‑course holiday tasting, which sounded festive and ambitious, but the execution didn't quite match the promise. Courses arrived beautifully plated, but several felt more conceptual than flavorful, and the pacing never fully found its rhythm. For the price point and the occasion, I was hoping for a bit more sparkle -- something that made the meal feel truly celebratory, as well as plentiful. The kids' options were another miss. While I appreciate that Anya aims for an elevated dining experience, the selections didn't feel particularly kid‑friendly. When you're trying to keep little ones happy through a long, multi‑course brunch, having approachable, familiar choices goes a long way. Here, the offerings felt more like scaled‑down adult dishes than something designed with kids in mind. That said, the staff was warm, the atmosphere was lovely, and there were moments where the meal hinted at what Anya does best. There's clearly talent in the kitchen and pride in the presentation -- it just didn't fully land this time. Overall, a beautiful spot with potential for a standout holiday experience, but our Easter brunch fell somewhere in the middle. Cheers

We ordered: * Brie Tart: pastry, blackberry, thyme, walnuts, honey, dressed micro green. $18 * Stuffed Gulf Shrimp: mirepoix, bell pepper & breadcrumb stuffing, potato puree, spinach, lemon, lobster sauce. $44 * Duck a l 'Orange: crispy seared breast, grand mariner & orange reduction, roasted fennel, parsnip puree, blackberry. $42 Ice water and two glasses of wine found their way to our table quickly, the service was excellent throughout our meal. Delicious warm rolls with tasty, salted butter arrived soon after. We were dining early so our view was quiet and beautiful. We also able to score a table in the shade, there is limited shade available outside. Yhe tart was good, though I think a warm version would be better. The shrimp were nicely cooked and very tasty and I thought the stuffing was delicious. My co-diner was less impressed with the stuffing, though overall I think this was a well executed dish. Unfortunately, the Crispy Duck a l 'Orange was anything but, the duck skin was soggy and the duck a little too rare. A rare miss, pardon the pun, for Anya's. I don't like to return a dish during dinner, as it disrupts the flow. So, I ate the duck which wasn't bad, but a premium price does infer the food is going to be properly prepared. That said, we will certainly return!

From the initial conference call with Sarah when we were comparing several caterers, their menu proposal perfectly captured the look and feel we wanted. The event was at my sister's house; Peppers arrived early to set up, which meant we could actually relax and enjoy getting ready instead of stressing and scrambling around! Their crew took over every detail like a team of little magical elves, they even brought complimentary décor that perfectly matched our coastal theme. Even the food displays were works of art, and I'm still kicking myself for not taking photos! And then there was THE FOOD!! Genuinely phenomenal, it tasted even better than it looked. We went with stationary hors d'oeuvre displays and tray-passed appetizers before the main stations, and everyone was (and still is!) raving about it. I honestly can't pick a favorite. We also opted for full bar service; our bartender, Tracy, was fantastic! If you're trying to decide between Peppers and another caterer, do yourself a favor and just go with Peppers. They made my mom's retirement celebration SO incredibly special, and we couldn't be happier!

Other than it being abnormally hot to the point that being outside was not comfortable, the set up of the space, the price of drinks and the efficient bar tender, and the nice apps, buffet and dessert, it was a good experience. It is the best retirement party spot that we've had in ages! Thank you fireside!!

I wanted to love this place and went for a special occasion. The staff is friendly but service is so incredibly slow. We sat down at 7:30 and left at 9:30!!! It was like a frat house with the staff, staff everywhere chatting it up and so many staff and barely any customers on a Saturday night and I can see why. The food is pretty good but not good enough for the slow moving service. We watched staff, chat, walk around aimlessly and completely just stand around as we waited for water refills, food to be ordered and even getting our to go boxes was crazy long. Completely ruined the night. There was zero reason with that much staff and that little of WEEKEND customers to not be inefficient for service time. The place was pretty and the stuff was great but the food was not good enough for such an awful experience. Also this is mom's comfort type food so good warm friendly prompt service would make it a hit. Told my friends and they said same happened to them. Anniversary dinner ruined.
