    We were at Anya, nestled in the hills of beautiful Thompson, CT for my daughter's birthday. Anya is a fine-dining French restaurant that has been voted top 25 Most Romantic Restaurants in Connecticut. It was truly a magnificent experience to mark the special occasion. Great service, elegant ambience and delicious food. Lot of parking available. Absolutely gorgeous location. Worth the drive! We ordered Nanna's Meatballs, Tokyo Nachos, East Coast Oysters, Beef Wellington, Ribeye with lobster tail, Lobster Rigatoni and Olive Oil Cake.

    Perfection! This was our first time dining at Anya. The food, service, and ambiance exceeded our expectations. Plenty of time to dine in a relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to return after the holidays.

    Waited long enough to try Anya and finally made it last week! Amazing presentation of food and great service in a modern setting. Thoroughly enjoyed the French onion soup for starters and ribeye for mains. Knowledgeable staff and professional in their service delivery. Will certainly visit again, a great local venue for the quiet corner. Worth the visit.

    When you first arrive you'll notice how great the vibe is. Walking inside the decor and atmosphere is upscale and relaxing! Such a beautiful restaurant. The service was great! The food was amazing! Definitely recommend.

    A very beautiful restaurant. It definitely as a an upscale look to it inside and out. Would love to go back to sit in the outside area for cocktails when it gets warmer. Service was great. Everyone who took care of us was very nice and did a great job. Food was timely and spread apart with a nice amount of time in between. The food I thought was good for some and okay for others. The appetizers and soup were a little disappointing. But the entrees were very good.

    Anniversary dinner and we could not have been more impressed! From the greeting by our hostess to the card recognizing our anniversary on the table, we immediately new we were in for a treat. The decor is elegant but simple and the ambiance is exceptional. Cocktails to start were perfect - Anyatini and Smoked Manhattan were smooth; add in a Mojito and refreshing beer for later on. Clam Chowder, Chopped Salad, Spicy Tuna, bruschetta, pickles, olives, rolls - amazing for starters. Main course: Filet and a Swordfish steak. Fantastic!

    First time visit to Anya. Very nice outside and inside is even nicer! Had reservations and was seated upon arrival. We were there on a weeknight and they offer a prix fixe menu. My first mistake was looking at the menu on they're website which was a fall menu it has not been updated to the winter menu. I guess it changed in early December. Not too big of a deal both menus were very similar with just a couple of variations were looking forward to chicken francese but went with the chicken cordon bleu. Everything we ordered was delicious and we cleared all of our plates. Everyone was really nice. And will most likely be returning. My second mistake which was kinda my fault was not double checking my bill. After I got home and looked at the email I noticed I was charged for a slice of cake that I did not order or receive.

    Party of 2, Saturday 11-23-2024, reservations, first time dining at Anya. My first impression was wow, this place is beautiful. A gentleman was playing piano in the corner, the place is elegant. We were seated and ordered drinks and an appetizer. I've gotta say, both of the drinks I had were top tier, some of the best drinks I've had. We ordered our entrees and enjoyed drinks while we waited. My wife ordered the Beef Wellington medium rare, I ordered the Ribeye Au Poivre. We received our entrees, and the Beef Wellington was WAY overcooked, probably medium well. My entree Ribeye was smothered with what I would describe as an excessive amount of the Au Poivre cream sauce. This was problematic because a ribeye is a fatty cut of meat, and not all of it is edible. The thick layer of sauce made it difficult to separate the meat from the fat. I mentioned the overcooked Wellington to our server and it was taken off the bill. We ordered a slice of cake to go so we could eat it at home. I want to love this place, I really liked the vibe, drinks, and great service. I will give it another shot and I'm hoping next time the entrees will be top notch like the rest of the dining experience.

    Sunday Brunch Buffet…read more I was impressed with the brunch buffet, and Mason's in general. The restaurant was stunning and everyone loves sn open view if the kitchen. The buffet was epic- perfectly cooked baked eggs, bacon hash, and scrambled eggs were all uniquely prepared and excellent. The star of the show sat in the middle of the table with generous portions of prime rib were carved and hand salted on your plate. The buffet line continued with a lox platter, crudité, omelets to order, and a variety of up scale pastries. There was literally nothing on the buffet that was not noteworthy. We loved our drinks (bloody & cinnamon toast brunch) while the GM came over to chat. Our waitress Cheyanne was on point and helped us decide on our juice choices for the Bucket of Bubbles that rounded out our drink order. Excited to try dinner at this place, and would not be surprised if brunch reservations start to fill up far in advance.

Service is phenomenal each time, they are so knowledgeable and have impeccable taste. I went back over the weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday, and I'm so glad we went! Appetizers: I highly recommend the mushroom rilette! Always, always, always order it when I come and I recommend it to everyone I know who's thinking of going to Mason's. The coal roasted prawns are also excellent! Beefy and nicely seasoned and roasted with a char. One of the specials for the night was the Norwegian black trout, and I must say, this dish NEEDS to be a permanent item on the menu. It was out of this world! If this dish was on their menu, I would order it every single time without question. The skin was so crispy, the fish was buttery and flavorful, and there was a distinct fish taste/smell of the ocean but it wasn't overwhelming which I really enjoyed. Steaks: We got the filet mignon and NY strip, and they were all seasoned to perfection. Cooks were great on the mediums, but I do notice they tend to undercook their medium rares a bit. I got a medium rare filet and it felt a bit more on the rarer side once I hit the middle, but I didn't mind. I have had to send a steak back before and I felt awful, but it was a little too rare at the time, and the staff were very accommodating about it which was nice. Desserts: I really like their sorbets, they have seasonal flavors and are very interesting and different! Very delicious. I've also gotten their autumn version of the cherry blossom back during the fall and it was very beautiful, and it tasted as good as it looked!
