When it first started, they did not have food vendors just artisans and produce vendors, but now they have a steady line of food vendors, including Seven Seas Roasting Company's Coffee Truck on the southern end of the market. That being said, on the north side of the market you will fine amazing nitro ice cream and churros from Potion 7 Creamery. The market includes a good number of organic produce stalls, plant stalls, and live music as well. It's a great market, with a number of small businesses along the street. Street parking is available and a pay parking lot on the west side. According to the city of La Mesa, "The La Mesa Farmers' Market is held every Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on La Mesa Blvd. between Palm Ave. and 4th St." (City of La Mesa, 2023)

I visited several vendors for eat and to chat and learn about their trade. I certainly learned some and ate some good food like vegan adobada and a terrific vegan croissant. All the vendors were very nice happy to provide Vegan treats. Being held at a parking lot at Grossmont Mall, parking is plentiful and access is easy.

Whelp, I have a solution for that...plan your OWN Vegan Festival and it can be wherever you want it to be! Until then, this is the best thing to happen to the San Diego Vegan scene since...ever! and (2) the lines are too looooong. I get there when it opens and there are zero lines. So, there you have it: problems solved. Either drive to where it is or plan your own and if you don't, get there when it starts. I am gracious and thankful that people are VOLUNTEERING their time to put on this awesome vegan festival and coordinating with the mall and vendors. It's held the first Friday of each month. The farmers market happens every Thursday, featuring small businesses and food vendors, all set up outside. I really enjoy the variety of vendors; there's food I've seen before, as well as food trucks. The market is located near the library and bookstore area, mostly around the main SDSU campus. The food is decent somewhat overpriced for what it is but it's worth visiting to support these local businesses. They offer items like boba and really good tacos. The service is fairly quick, encouraging a fast-paced in-and-out experience. Overall, the market has a great ambiance, with plenty of outdoor seating where you can relax and enjoy your food.

From fruit trees and fresh produce to yard sale treasures, mattresses, furniture, and even brand-new items it's like a giant treasure hunt. The restrooms are available and surprisingly clean and well stocked. Overall, it's a great place to shop, explore, and definitely get your steps in because there's so much to see. What can you do with $1. FREE parking- admission to the Spring Valley Swap Meet, the greatest deal ever!! Get a stamp if you need to re-enter. This Spring Valley Swap Meet is SUPER HUGE and is outdoors located in Spring Valley, of course. They operate only on Saturday and Sundays from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, wide variety of vendors selling everything from antiques, vintage items, to clothes, electronics, furniture, mortuary plots ( I saw 2 different business offering this) household goods, plants, and local produce. There are food vendors, bar for alcohol near entrance, and entertainment too! I enjoy coming out here to the swap meet, we try to squeeze it in despite so much to do but so little time. I just love to look at and shop for plants and also get the cheap, colorful fruits for the hubby! I like to browse and at the same time get our steps in. What did I get during this recent to Spring Valley, some new with tag storage, household items from Target, Toys for my friend's daughter, and fruits! The fruits are so cheap, strawberry for $2. a pack or 3/$5., cherries $2. lb. even avocados! I wish prices are this low back on Oahu. Every time I see the chayote fruit, its Mexican kine with pokey thorns, gives me chicken skin, how would you remove the skin without getting hurt? Although the swap meet is outdoors, I can imagine the heat during the Summer, we normally visit during the Fall/Spring time so the weather is much cooler. They have a variety of fresh produce and dry goods. I love coming here to see what they have on special and their deals. I come here at least once a month and I stock up on certain items. They have updated their hours and they are open on Monday- Saturday from 7am to 6pm. I have tried calling them to ask a question and their phone number does not work, I recommend looking on yelp and making sure they are open. The employees there are absolutely nice and helpful. They let you know when their next shipment is coming depending on the certain item you are looking for. If you haven't been here yet, you should check out this cute and quiet farmers outlet.

Card expires Nov 30 so we will lose our $50. Couldn't even buy eggs. Farmers complain people are unsupportive yet how can we support them if they are greedy and cheat the Government programs? I will make sure to never set foot in a farmers' market again. I will full heartedly support overseas farmers from now on. Let's see who buys your overpriced produce. This last time I went there was a vendor selling coffee/pastries, one selling pupusas, one selling pizza, two vendors selling green leafy vegetables (like collard greens, kale and bitter leaf), and Bernardino Loera Farms - notable for the seasonal avocado varieties they sell like fuerte, zutano, bacon - whenever the season for those comes up. This one is in a convenient location near the City Heights Library, a nice little park, and an El Super. There is parking on Wightman on the other side of Fairmount Avenue as well as other side streets in the area.
