This was my second time visiting so I decided to post a review. I must say the customer service experience was awesome. The clerk was very helpful and greeted me when I arrived. Although this place isn't huge they have a large variety of diffuser oils, body oils, strong smelling candles, and even car sprays. My favorite is the Eucalyptus Mint I think. LOL. The onlybreason the dont get five starts is because they didn't have the scents I wanted available. Another highlight is you can always go online and have the stuff delivered instead of going in which is so convenience. I'd recommend the place to anyone and I definitely plan to be back soon. read more

Best candle store in Houston! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. They have a wide array of fragrances! (22 I believe) The best part is when you find a fragrance you love, Shan (the owner) can make several derived products out of it! (Body lotion, hand sanitizer, shea butter, soap, aroma bags, burning oils...) The candles are made in the back of the shop and they burn amazingly. A valuable lesson I learned from Shan is to always trim the wick after each use. It really makes a difference! My favorite fragrance is called "High Maintenance" and it smells heavenly! I went to the the shop on May 7th to purchase some Mother's Day candles. I was met at the door with several boxes as they were unpacking a recent shipment. There was nothing to speak of on the shelves and most disappointing, the owner never bothered to greet us as we walked in. When I inquired about some candles I saw on the website. She brushed by me and said "This is all we have and you'd better buy it cause its going fast" And just like that..she moved on. Not my idea of an acknowledgment or an attempt to try and help me find some sort of gift. I came to the shop specifically to support Black owned business. That visit didn't sit well with me as I been to this location in the past as well as when she was on OST and found something to purchase. read more

My company did an event here last year. It was a low-cost and fun event (BYOB and snacks!) that our group of about 10 thoroughly enjoyed! There was another group that I would say totaled capacity around 15 or 20. Nonetheless after smelling the amazing scents offered I couldn't leave without a larger candle of my own. For some reason the candle got tucked away for a few months, and now during quarantine the chai candle has been cracked open. My oh MY this candle smells good, and is just strong enough to enjoy it throughout the area it is burned in. These are very high quality candles and I am now reminded I need to return ASAP! read more

It was truly a fabulous experience and my guests and I enjoyed every minute we were there. The aroma alone in the shop is breathtaking. Pretending to be an artist for a moment while sipping your desired beverage is fun in itself. And then to have a product of your work to take home and enjoy by lighting your candle and smelling this beautiful fragrance aroma is so satisfying. Called this place to redeem Groupon and they will not call you back. Spoke with the owner that said she would call me back, as of yet I have not received a call. If you don't want people to redeem their Groupon then you shouldn't post your business on the site. Having difficult time to get my money refunded due to Groupon doesn't give refund after 3 days. I just got the best customer service ever from this company! I made my order online two weeks ago and was wondering why I had not received it yet, so I email the shop with a question and got a reply back within minutes. The email answered my question and said to call if I needed further assistance. So I call and a real person picks up on the third ring. She remembers me from email, doesn't need me to give her any more info, doesn't even have to ask what my issue is. She already knows and she's on top of it. She tells me that part of my purchase has been on back order but that she will immediately send out the part that is available and the rest as soon as it comes in. My package was in the mail an hour after we spoke 2-day priority shipping. I will definitely be using this company any time I need candles in the future. read more

Simply Scents has some of the best candles, the scents are really profound, and the candles last for a long time. My favorite scent is "Very Sexy" perfect for a bedroom, or "Lemon Verbena" perfect for a kitchen and bathroom. I really feel she has a scent for everyone, especially with the option of ordering online, the candles are very affordable and worth it. If you choose to go to the store, they are in compliance with the COVID policies, including wearing a mask! You can also host a candle party, which is great for a birthday or a girls day. This includes booking a seat for a 90 minute session of decorating a wine glass however you'd like, and then filling it with the Simply Scents candle wax of the month! You can even drink wine while decorating. I thought this idea was so cute and original, when the candle is finished, you can drink out of your personalized wine glass! Lastly, there's also an option of joining their Candle Club. When you sign up to join, you get a shipment every week of either candles, aroma spray, burning oil or and aroma bag.
