Very helpful staff, if you're just getting cut flowers it's not too expensive. I got a beautiful bunch of cut flowers and they lasted for a good week and a half! Only $13 for a nice thick bunch. The women were all very kind and asked me what colors I wanted etc. I would come back here. read more

My son who lives out of town sent me a 18" tall birthday Spring flower mix. The flowers did not reflect the amount of money spent. Most of the cost went to delivery and I am a short distance from from the shop. The arrangement was mostly greenery with inexpensive flowers in it. The irises were very small and two other flowers already had brown edges to the petals. I think florists forget that a smaller arrangement in a bubble vase with the same amount of flowers that they might put in a skimpier larger arrangement looks better. The larger arrangement with scarce flowers looks pathetic. Florists also take advantage of out of town customers because they bank on them likely not seeing the arrangements, but since we now have camera phones, it is a disgrace to still do that. It should be the duty to the florist to explain to a customer over the phone that they would get more bang for their buck by doing a more condensed smaller arrangement than a larger skimpy arrangement. Not everyone can afford a $200 arrangement. I am disappointed and will have my husband encourage my son in the future to go elsewhere for any flowers he wants to send me. I did not want to tell my son he wasted his money by what he sent me. I usually send him a photo but did not this time. Lastly, I noticed that this florist tends to be very defensive to any negative reviews she has received from others which is not a good sign. Others noticed the very same issues I did. She should learn from the negative comments and do better. read more

I got married January 18, 2020. Yes, it's a bit late for a review, but I finally am going on my honeymoon (on our 1 year anniversary) and have time on the flight to thank my vendors. I learned about Elaine's florist from our church coordinator. Elaine was great to work with. She stayed within our budget and provided us gorgeous bouquets, boutinneires, and altar flowers. She even was willing to work with me and another bride in splitting costs for the altar flowers. I showed Elaine a picture of the flowers I wanted for the bouquets and she delivered! My mother sent me an arrangement from here for my birthday last month. The flowers are lovely and lasted over a week!

I placed an order for a $55 arrangement for mothers day. I specifically requested tulips because my mom loves them. When I arrived to pick up the flowers they seemed confused about whether or not my order was ready. A lady came out from the back holding a very small vase of flowers. There were only three tiny tulips at the bottom. There were two roses, but the edges were brown and torn. I stood there and watched her pull the dead petals off right in front of me...the lady did explain that higher quality flowers means it would be lacking in quantity, but when the flowers are starting to brown I don't think that matters. I was very disappointed with this experience because this place has great reviews. Maybe just don't come here during busy holidays? It seems like they were low on flowers or something. When I got home and looked more closely at the flowers I realized that there were fake flowers mixed in with the real ones... (see picture). I ended up going somewhere and buying more flowers to add so the bouquet didn't look so sad. Next time I'll definitely take my business elsewhere. read more

I have found a new go to florist!! We tried to find a place to get a last minute boutineer for prom this past weekend. We looked on line for local florist and three of the four we found were selling them for $55. Ugh! But, I happened upon Elaine's in Meyerland. We called on Thursday to pick up on Saturday. They only charged us $15 and it was as nice as any of the other ones advertised at $55. I went to pick up the boutineer on Saturday morning. The owner, Elaine was there running the shop. Super nice lady!! Great shop catering to everything from proms, weddings, baby showers and gift baskets for special occasions. I will definitely be going back to this shop. She sent myself and co-workers a text thanking us for the bouquet along with a picture. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED!!!! My co-workers could not believe I paid $100 for that bouquet! I had to show proof to my co-workers who pitched in that I truly paid that amount. Why would you put a hydrangea with a mix of bright spring flowers? It stuck out like a sore thumb!!!! Just an puffy arrangement of mostly-dead flowers that they know the client will never see. Wilted upon arrival. Dead in two days except green non-flower filler. I arrange flowers weekly from "clearance" flowers that are nicer and last longer than these. The floral business is such a scam when they know they won't be checked. Go elsewhere. I wanted to take a moment and let you know how disappointing my purchase was. I ordered a gift for my son, I specifically requested a blue teddy bear be in the basket. When I arrived I was informed , the florist decided on something else. I was told on the phone it would be filled with baby lotions, bath items etc. It is NOT , ,in fact it has miserable tea crackers that no one even purchases at any grocer as they are terribly disgusting and there are inexpensive candies . No baby toys as noted in your advertistement. And not at all as the photo looked on your website. I will not become one of your loyal clients. Nor will I refer your store in the future. you should also take down the photo you display as it is completely misleading.. read more

Houston is blessed with so many fabulous local florists offering lovely arrangements with Texas hospitality. Elaine's is NOT one of those places. We tried to order a nice arrangement for a special occasion and asked for a picture before it was sent, which was a tiny, sparse little bouquet in a small cheap vase for $80. When we contacted Elaine to let her know that we had hoped for something nicer for that price, she was unapologetic, dismissive, and extremely defensive. While everyone has bad days, especially small business owners, her lack of commitment to customer satisfaction was made very clear to us. read more

The majority of the time, the flowers are not as pictured, and they absolutely don't last more than 2 days. Same for cheap grocery store flowers.
