This place is absolutely the worst. I've been calling all day I've emailed and I've been here twice in person. I'm sitting in the parking lot wondering why the doors are locked when office hours are until 6p mon-fri. Horrible customer service. They say I don't owe anything at the moment i have no past due balance but they tacked on a 20 dollar fee. I'm trying to resolve the issue but can't get anyone on the phone email or in office. They've wasted my time money and fuel. I will be removing my equipment from this lot and go somewhere else. read more

We just learned our camper was stolen. When was the last time they saw it on the lot, November and they only keep footage for two weeks. We never received a call and were paying for an empty lot for two months. Apparently they knew a new user had been stealing trailers but did nothing about it. read more

DO NOT STORE HERE! My husband and I just had both of our utility trailers stolen from this "secure" storage facility. The police office that took our report says he's been there fairly frequently due to a string of thefts. We had coupler locks on both trailers which were cut off at the time of the theft. read more

Don't do it. A little over 6 weeks ago I visited my unit at Simply Self Storage on Fisher Rd. and saw that someone else had put a lock on my unit next to my lock, locking me out of having access to my belongings. I notified the manager that there was someone else's lock on my unit and she came out to inspect it. We observed a unit two doors down that had the door open and was empty. The manager stated that they had probably put their lock on my unit as a joke when they left. She then told me it would cost me $50 to have the lock cut off by their contractor. I asked to look back at the cameras to see if we could see if the person could be identified. The employee stated that the cameras only captured back the last two weeks and that it would be pointless to review the video. I told her I wasn't paying for the lock to be cut off. There was no word following this until I had my bank decline their charge. I put a call into their corporate office (which is only a voice-mail that gets forwarded to the regional manager) who finally agreed to waive the cost of cutting the lock. When I called to schedule the cut, a male employee informed me my March rent would be waived in addition to the lock cost. When I went in to remedy the locks, I was told I would have to pay the full amount plus a late charge in addition to nearly being accused of placing the other lock on myself. A call back to the corporate number garnered an email from the regional mgr deflecting blame about my property being secure and "graciously" waived the late fee. I should not be charged for time I didn't have access to my belongings. read more

I wasn't going to review this company but after some time has gone by I feel others need to know. We rented from the previously which we stored a camper. Our camper small like 3x10 window in the dinette area was broken (all winter) when we came to get the camper one day, we saw the broken glass noticed the tree service truck parked beside it had a handle that lined up with it. I went to the manager, she told me they had some problems with break ins, but I told her this wasn't a break in because of the window broken no one could fit through it literally! She proceeded to tell me that they didn't have cameras, and that she didn't go around the campers to look around because they might see that as suspicious. I told her you are the manager, that wouldn't look suspicious. We had an argument, I had to pay in order for them to release my camper. Fast forward to another incident about a year later. After needing a smaller storage for personal belongings. I decided to get online (This was in the midst of covid) I scheduled it online (It stated contactless rental) so within the hour, after the movers loaded everything into their truck, I had the movers following behind me and we were only about 10 minutes from the property. ( I paid $50.13 prorated) On the way to storage I realized it was Saturday and didn't have a gate code. So I called customer service right away (It was a Saturday around 3:00-3:30pm. The customer service line said I needed to arrive while the manager was at the location, and they are closed now. I think they closed at 3. I complained and said I did contactless rental and why couldn't I get in after I paid anyways? They spoke to the district manager and said I wouldn't be able to get in until Monday. So we had the reservation, we had paid for storage online, but now we were stuck with no storage unit and $50.13 being held back. I then had to get another storage unit and pay the movers extra money (an hour more of their time which was $55/hr) and I later contact the customer service again, but they told me to call over to the manager for the refund of the ($50.13). The manager leaves this message for me (THIS IS QUOTED VERBATUM) "I'm calling from simply self storage I got your voicemail about the rental that you had cancelled upon reviewing the situation I have learned that um you're not due a refund. It looks like you only paid a prorated portion of the month and what you did the move-in plus administration fee and unfortunately none of that is refundable if you have any further questions you can give us a call back 614-334-0190 otherwise have a good day. So I didn't step foot on property, never got a code, called the customer service number within a hour or renting it online. So I'm a little confused on why I don't get back any portion or all of the ($50.13) back???? (Not really confused just saying I should get a partial or full refund and disagree with manager of the property). read more

the manager will raise your charges and add 60.00 to your account saying they had to up it that much so in November it was 30 then in Feb another 30 because I'm using that space.They will cut your lock and send you non certified letters saying you owe money or they will auction your stuff off in less then 5 days .Then they won't give you the ceo number to complain she'll calmer D.B.and she'll agree with all the wrong things their doing ..Add extra charges and then won't give you 30 days to get your things out .And I wasn't never even 2 months late and she tried to take my things .Putting letters on my unit door violating my hippa rts .The gates always broke,trash ,animals ...Just please avoid this place read more

I had an amazing experience with Simply Storage on Fisher Rd. Always very professional and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure the best customer service. The worst service experience I have ever received, this company is a joke. I made a reservation online a few days ago for an outdoor parking spot. Yesterday I went and purchased brand new EXPENSIVE equipment to be stored at Simply Self Storage. Corey assisted us in setting up the rental. The parking space rentals are not clearly marked, we could barely see the lines that we were required to park our trailer in. Corey said they needed to get new paint and he would at least come out and spray paint around the spot so we would have some sort of marker when backing in. When checking out we were asked to choose a gate code. Which we did. It was also written down for us and included on our contract. Today at noon we showed up to check on our equipment. No one was at the office and our gate code was saying 'Access Denied'. We attempted the code at least 10 times with no luck. No one was answering the phone at the office. After leaving, I called Reservations & Sales to try and speak to someone. Tina gave me a temporary code. We drove back to the facility and typed in the code provided, only to receive a 'Suspended' message. By this time, an hour had passed and two separate trips to the facility (still no one in the office or answering the phones). I left an urgent message for the office asking that they give me a call because I could not gain access to my property and I needed a proper gate code. I then called back into Reservations & Sales and spoke to Tina again, asking for a manager. She said she would put in an incident report and contact the District Manager, providing them with my cell phone number and asking that they give me a call. Four hours passed and no call from either the office or DM. I called back and spoke to Tina, she said she had not heard anything and the office should be open. Two additional hours passed and I called back in and spoke to someone else, asking for a supervisor or additional manager other than the DM because I did not hear back. I was given the Corporate phone number - which took me to a voicemail FIGURES. I left a detailed voicemail and asked for a return call immediately. Nothing. Two additional hours passed (Now 8 hours of no return calls or access to my property) and I called back into Reservations & Sales where they were going to transfer me back to the Corporate voicemail. I told them I needed to speak to someone NOW that could get me an access code because my next move was going to be to call the police. I was transferred to the R&S supervisor, Fernando. I told him everything that happened. He confirmed my number and said he was going to try and get me a code and call me back. Can you guess what happened? NO CALL BACK. I took it upon myself to go back to the facility and try my codes again, then moved on to trying generic codes. Luckily, I was able to gain access and remove my property from this hell hole. Frankly, I should have called the police. It definitely has felt like my property has been held hostage ALL DAY. Why doesn't customer care have a general access code to provide in situations like this? Why didn't the temporary passcode work? Why weren't they able to issue another code? WHY DOES NO ONE RETURN PHONE CALLS?! Maybe someone will finally call me back after receiving notification of a one star review. I would give this company negative stars if I could. I expect for my contract to be voided and my money be refunded - not that I'll be able to get anyone on the phone to discuss it. As mentioned previously, WHAT A JOKE. read more

UPDATE ON REVIEW - COPIED MY GOOGLE REVIEW THAT I POSTED TODAY: This place is AWFUL. Trash everywhere... I suggested a dumpster but they actually said it would make it worse LOL. Parking stripes not visible. Rarely anyone in the office. When I rented, I was led to believe I was getting a larger space then I found out later, it was untrue. I've left tons of voicemail without a return phone call. If you call the office during "office hours" rarely anyone answers. Had an error in 24 hour access to where I could not get in, since I am from out of town, had to rent a room for the night to return until when I could get in... tried calling every number on their website. Was actually locked in on a Sunday morning because the gate wasn't working and tried their 24 hour number...voicemail as usual. I waited almost 2 hours and then had to scale the fence, leave my vehicle in order to get to work. Raised the rent for supposed improvements including clean up, painting and cameras.... none happened. My trucks were broke into and of course no cameras and nothing could be done. The man I met in January 2017 when I started my storage contract was very nice and professional. They had a month free promotion and their rates were the cheapest around me (you get what you pay for), so I gave them a try. I went to my unit to find my things ruined and covered with mice poop! My clothes and boxes were chewed up my antique and vintage items destroyed! I call them and wait for a return call because they never answer the phone. I have to leave a message 3 times before I get my call from the lady manager. I tell her the issue and inform her that I will no longer be needing the storage unit and could someone at least dispose of my things since I don't want them due to the rodent droppings and chewed up items she says "Ok, I will see what I can do and I will put in your notification to vacate". I never hear from her again! I had to move out all of my destroyed items! She said they never had that problem before but I see a few other people moving out and in their units were rodent droppings too! If you have valuable stuff or stuff you care about DO NOT STORE IT HERE! The rates are cheap for a reason. read more

We have had a storage unit for 4 years at this place and seemed to not have many troubles. They automatically take my payment out of my credit card. Well apparently my credit card expired in 8/2018 and I got a new one in the mail and didn't think much of it until in September I never saw my payment deducted. My husband stopped by the place, (since they never answer the phone) and asked why and the lady said our card came back as expired. Never called to ask any questions or a new card date. She just kept adding late fees. So when my husband and I gave her the new expiration date she said there would be late fees. I argued the late fees and she didn't care. So instead of keeping a good client, she would rather lose our business over a $20.00 late fee. So we are moving our stuff out this month and will not come back. read more

I rented a climate control unit, for two months. I went here because it was close to my new location and because they offered a special of the first full month free. Very nice deal. Before I moved in my belongings, the office lady showed me the unit, and there were bags of mouse poison on the ground in the unit. She said I could leave them or remove them, "but they can't control what other tenants do or store in their units" so it would be best to leave the poison in there. It's been 2 months and each time I go to my unit, there's more mouse droppings. On everything!!! And boxes eaten through for openings, baby mice living in the vacuum dirt bag, it's disgusting! And the contract specifically states they are not liable for any rodent or pest damage...this storage unit has a mouse infestation and they are choosing not to address it, instead just removing their responsibility of getting rid of the mice! And no, you can't avoid it, the units are not secluded, the mice can go from unit to unit and destroy everything. read more
