We've rented from other Cube smart locations before and always had a great experience. This…read morelocation, however, is terrible. There is no manager onsite. We have not been able to return the locks they provided to get a refund. There are spiders in both of our units and they said it was our problem to deal with. We couldn't access our unit for several days last week because the storm messed up the gate connection, but no one put a sign up or sent an email. So after we drove all the way over there, and spent half an hour trying our code, and being on hold with the corporate people, we finally figured it out. Paying this much for storage and not being able to access it is unacceptable and we should get a partial refund. And lastly, due to heavy rain recently, one of our units leaked and all our expensive exercise equipment got wet and ruined. Three days later, no one has been by to fix the roof so we have to go get tarps to put over our stuff in case it rains again. The manager is totally unconcerned with this issue and the urgency in getting the roof fixed. We can't move units bc it would cost us hundreds of dollars of our own money for movers. Again. This is ridiculous and we can't wait to get out of here!

They will take the cc information and charge a deposit fee and then claim that it is non-refundable and that you have agreed to it. There are a lot of other storage facilities in the area with very good business practices and they do not charge you anything for a reservation.

They charged me a $48 late fee for being a week late and refused to waive it. They also raise the rates every six months to the point it's just stupid to stay there. I started out at $90/mo and ended up at over $350 for a 10x10. It's time to move out which sucks because I have a lot of heavy stuff. It's like they know they have you, so they abuse any way they can and DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS at all. What's strange is that once I move out they will sell it for $90/mo again and slowly raise it every 6 months to get back to $300+ over the next few years. We cleaned out the heaviest, most broken beat up furniture I've seen. Some random pieces of broken furniture! This was an online auction. Never had this happen before. There was always something of value at least! Not in this junk unit! It also was unusual in that all the drawers were missing but furniture was wrapped in plastic. ??? Obvious the manager put these objects together so whoever bought this " managers special" would have to haul off all of this heavy furniture!
