This facility has a major plumbing problem, and the building stinks. The elevator access is too extreme when people are exiting at 9 pm. There should be some grace for people who are inside the building trying to exit at 9 pm on the third floor, or at least security or someone on site to handle this type of situation. Constant price increases when you have only been in a unit for one month are inflammatory. Staff is never on-site, and the office never opens as stated on the business hours on the door. unit size: 10x15 I started leasing a unit with Public Storage in October 2023, and it has been a nightmare experience. My rent started at $106 per month, and in less than a year, they have steadily increased it to $190. The constant rent hikes are outrageous and completely unjustified. On top of that, their autopay system is a disaster. I always put my bills on autopay, as most people do these days, to avoid the hassle of manual payments. However, their system consistently fails--autopay gets turned off, won't process, or gives an error message. Every single month, I've had to call and waste time just to pay my bill. Even after asking their customer service to fix the issue and re-enroll me, the problem persists. It got so bad that I even resorted to double-paying a month just to avoid dealing with their system the following month--only to be hit with another rent increase anyway! The combination of constant rent hikes and the complete incompetence of their billing system has driven me to terminate my lease and find storage elsewhere. I am beyond fed up. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Public Storage all together. ***By the way Extra Space Storage is $115 with a debate special for $58 right now, also they have longer service hours 6am-10pm.*** (not sure of their services..yet) read more

As a first experience renting a storage unit this location is cool. Instead of those long flat rows, this is a 3 story building. At first I was concerned, yet the facility is super clean, the elevator works well (not dragging), and the property manager Tish was super helpful! Thanks Tish! There are electric garage doors to get in, and to get out, which is an added feature too. The unit we rented did have a wire mesh on top , at about 8 ft up, so couldn't stack past that, which is so far the only downside I see. read more

I rented a unit and hauled a load of boxes up to the second floor. The door was jammed and would not open. It took me half an hour to speak to a real person. The owner of the property was unreachable. I had to take all of my boxes back to my car. I have no help as a single person. Moving is a stressful situation as it is. This is the last thing I needed. I rented 3 units when it was All Storage. Magically, when it became Public Storage one of my units was sold! I didn't even notice bc the payment was directly taken from my credit card. The general manager said it was sold because I put my things into another unit, It was a lie. I took things from one to the other and there was a unit in the middle of my two units. This happened in Cook Ln Prosper,Tx. They didn't give me an answer and didn't even have a solution for me. after telling me to go to the police and get the report, they gave me a release form to sign and finish with the problem. Building - Newer Service- The Guy at the reception a horrible. Absolutely no sense of customer service. 1st time renting from public storage. Asked him how to get to my unit. He just kept mumbling as if "you go figure yourself". There are several elevators in the building. He should have looked up where the unit was and told me to take which elevator and what side of building. Instead I drove around the entire building and randomly picked an entrance and then....... Access instructions - Horrible. There is no instruction on key pad ie what to enter. Is it unit number? my phone number ? some code? some password ? Once the garage door opens, you stand in front of elevator and there is no instruction what to do!! I pressed the "up" button and nothing happens. Then there is a key pad to the left of elevator and no instructions on them. Then I entered same code that worked outside the building and elevator door opens magically. I pressed the floor button and door closed and nothing happens. I am waiting waiting waiting.................... Then I opened the elevator door , go back to keypad to punch my code and jumps back into elevator , press the floor button , and magically the elevator goes up. WHAT PUBLIC STORAGE DID NOT TELL YOU..... You have only few SECONDS to key in your code, pull your cart inside elevator, and press the floor button. ie. elevator is activated only for few seconds for you to go to another floor. Ridiculous. And then, there is the hold button to keep the door open. It is not press and release (common sense) but you need to PRESS AND HOLD. ie if one person is bringing the carts inside, you need another person to press and HOLD the button to HOLD the door. STUPID STUPID STUPID. DECEPTION - Insurance is NOT mandatory. Public storage never tell you and charge like 50% on the rent as insurance. Your homeowners insurance will cover self-storage rental unit. So PS do BS and make tons of money from unsuspecting renters. Time for CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. CONCLUSION - This place is absolute nightmare to go to your unit and navigate and horrible service from person sitting in reception. read more

The contactless process was very easy and simple and covered very thing needed. The loading/unloading is a inside drive thru so no matter the outside elements you are in a dry climate controlled area to do everything once you arrive. They provide carts and space to park as well. The only negative is locating your space inside. They are numbered but it's a bit of a maze to figure out. It would be helpful if they put signs with numbers in the hallways much like a hotel does. Once you locate it's easy to figure out. It's a new facility so everything is in excellent condition and very well kept. The area is also a nice safe area near the main police station. Overall a great place and glad we selected them. read more

SO DONE with this place. They are CONSTANTLY raising rates. We started out at $149 in 2021 and they have raised the rate three times. We just got a notice of the rate going up to $252. Is this a joke? $252 for a 10x10 space at a place that is not run well?? No one is ever there, the dollies are always broken, the outside door by our unit is not properly sealed and water has gotten into our unit multiple times after big rain storms. In 2022, we had to make a claim through the insurance because so much water got into our unit from the broken door that we had multiple pieces of furniture ruined and moldy. The manager swore they would fix the door after that incident, but after a big storm this week, we went to check and standing water was in our unit AGAIN. Have tried calling multiple times to make a new claim and they don't call back. We are also supposed to get in any time of day with our access code, but they're out of order and so you have to go to the property manager's office to get into your unit, but they are not even on property half the time that we have tried to get into our place this week. And when you try and call during business hours, the phones just go straight to voicemail. Gladly found a different company with the same size indoor unit for MUCH cheaper in Celina. So glad to be done with this crappy place. read more

the worst experience from a storage unit ever. Ive had many storage units over the years and never thought I would have to write a review because, honestly, there should never be anything to write about. Put your stuff in the unit, pay your bills, and thats it, end of interaction and experience. I never have had to really interact with my storage unit providers, except when getting the unit day one, and when vacating the unit. IMO I shouldn't ever really have to deal with them at all, I store my stuff there, get to it when I need it and pay my bill, as far as im concerned I shouldn't really ever have to interact with anyone unless there is a problem. Well, ive been dealing with these shady crooks for months now and I don't understand how they have a business. Elevators never work, and there is no stair acesss, so that means I can't even get to my personal property most of the time because its on the third floor. The employees there don't have any idea what they are doing and just refer to management, who doesn't answer calls ever, and when they do, literally hang up on you. Now, the latest scam they are trying to pull is randomly just increasing my monthly rent by 35%! How on earth do you justify a small room rate increasing by 35%? There is no product shortage or supply issue or gas issue....its a 5X10 room, how can you increase the price over 1/3rd? Inflation is currently 8-10% so many companies are increasing prices, but those are because of supply issues and increased prices for products. Im not using any product at all, its an empty room, and either way, why would it increase over 10%? let alone a 35% jump?!?! thats ridiculous! PLUS, I signed a contract for my price, how can they just all the sudden with only a month advance warning, jack up my price over a 135%?!?! of course no answers from anyone in the office or from management. the best I could get was someone on the online chat, and they basically just told me "tough luck-you agreed to price increases in your contract" I asked them to show me in the contract where it said that and they told me they don't have access to my contract....then how do you know that it says that in my contract?!?!?! I travel for work and don't have time to rent another uhaul and find another storage unit and empty everything out and move to a new place.(which is obviously what I want to do, I can't stand giving these crooks another dime, but im out of state now and can't) Thats the reason I got a storage unit in the first place, to just leave my stuff locked up and safe till I need it, but this "business" doesn't understand any of that. Im telling you, please save yourself the hassle and just go to any other storage unit. Amanda and Leslie the supposed "managers" for this area could not care less either and are straight up garbage people, they literally told me that they don't care what I think, hung up on me and blocked my number. I'll try to summarize as best I can, but public storage has made our lives hell. Firstly, we got a 5x10 storage unit from All Storage in October 2021, and everything was fine, we brought our stuff in and put a good lock on it. Then, November/December public storage took over, we were given no notice of this so we thought everything was fine, we paid our rent for the space and continued on. Around December they began calling and stating we needed to sign a contract (which we already had) and something about not having insurance (which we paid an insurance fee with All Storage when we signed our contract and we have renters insurance that covers this). So we just assumed they wanted us to pay an additional fee for their specific insurance and it was busy with the holidays. Then, they called threatening to "vacate the unit", keep in mind we've been paying every month. So, my husband called back and Tish told him that we were in the wrong unit (we were in the unit that was on all our paperwork) and he needed to go up there to sign a contract, we don't live close so he waited until he had a day off and went there. He went up there Wednesday 1/5/22, they informed him that they had him listed in the unit right next to the one we were actually in, simple clerical error, no big deal,or so we thought. When he got there, both elevators were broken and the doors to the stairs were locked so he couldn't get to our until, then he went in and Tish and another employee had him sign a contract and pay a prorated rent for January since he just sign the contract (I guess they needed a public storage one or maybe it was because of the error they made with the unit?). He signs the contract and pays January rent (which took almost 2 hours because the employees don't seem to know what they're doing). We thought everything was fine, we were upset he couldn't get to our unit when he was up there but didn't think too much of it. Then, Wednesday, we get an email that our lock was found "unlocked or improperly locked", we haven't been there since October so we thought someone tried to break in. My husband calls up there repeatedly with no answer. Amanda finally calls him back and basically says that they broke the lock because they didn't know if the unit was occupied, even though there was a lock on it. When we brought up that we have all the paperwork showing that we were in that unit , Amanda stated there was no paperwork because it's "all digital". She also stated they only looked at our stuff and did not go through it, but we still feel extremely violated. What if we had really personal stuff sitting out that they could see just by opening the unit, a unit which they had no reason and gave no warning they were going to open. He went back and forth with her for a while, she informed him they put a lock on it for us and "overnighted" the keys. They keys wouldn't end up being delivered for about a week. Amanda gave him the number for Leslie (who is in charge of Oklahoma and North Texas, and easily the worst one working at public storage and how she got into a management position is beyond me). Amanda let Nick know that Leslie probably wouldn't respond because it was "4 on a Friday" which doesn't seem right. But he left a voicemail for her anyways. Saturday morning Leslie calls and all she has to say is basically we didn't know they cut the lock and we didn't have access to our unit, so we shouldn't be upset and they'd give us a $25 credit to replace the lock they broke. She said we wouldn't get our money back for the months also because we "didn't have a contract". Which came up later with Tish, Public Storage has something that says they can break into anyones property I guess, but if we didn't have a contract then they had even less of a right to do that. She also said if we wanted to get our property so bad that we could break the lock ourselves. She then blocked my husbands cell phone number and hasn't said anything else. The level of unprofessionalism is unreal. We went up there Sunday 1/16 and Tish was there, we still didn't have keys so we asked her to break the lock that they have keys to and we don't, she informed us that they "don't do that here", but they did it once already. We called the nonemergent number to have the police come up there, which may be an overreaction but we didn't have access to our personal property. Tish immediately panicked and said she couldn't be here with the cops. Tish came back in about halfway through us talking to the cops. The cops then took Tish into the back office to "get her side of the story". And a story she must've told because when they were done the cops were saying we could get arrested for trespassing, because we were trying to get our property. 2 for sure lies Tish told them was she was "familiar with the wife", I've never met her before and the "he travels for work a lot", again no and we've never said that.
