We did a trial prior to the wedding day and even though I know nothing about hair or makeup she was able to capture what I envisioned. At her recommendation I got extensions for my wedding day, but even at the trial she was able to transform my sad thin hair into beautiful Hollywood waves. My event was this past weekend. I was happy with the makeup and the hair BUT... not happy at all things went. Jessica was hire few months back her lack of communication is very poor I would loved her to ask me questions about my hair or send me things that will help me the night before I was the one texting her and asking her questions. she was not well prepared to do my daughter's hair. Jess was so great to work with. She was very prompt in getting back to me after I expressed interest in getting my make-up done by her, and she was completely up-front with the prices for everything. Which were very reasonable compared to a lot of other make-up services I had researched. What attracted me most to her was her amazing price for airbrush make-up, because that was what I really wanted and it was so expensive elsewhere. Also, whenever e-mailing or calling her, she always got back to me within a day or two, which I really appreciated. I ended up getting a trial run of my make-up and she was incredibly flexible with the location and time for me because I had scheduled it so my wedding hair trial with another vendor could be the same day as my make-up trial with Jess. She took the time to make sure I loved my make-up, and even volunteered to pick up the perfect lip-color for me since she didn't have it in her collection. On the wedding day she was on-time and did make-up for me, my mom, and one of my bridesmaids. She got us all done in a timely manner and we looked beautiful, I could not have been happier with my make-up! It stayed perfect all day, from 11 am to 11 pm! Jessica was great. I totally dropped the ball on booking a hair and makeup artist before my wedding. A month before the wedding, every reference I got from my friends was already booked or was charging exorbant amounts to come that day. On top of it, I wanted a trial before the real day. So, I decided to check out the wedding make up artists recommended by Knot in the Long Beach/OC area. I browsed through bunch of portfolios online and contacted few of them. I really liked Jessica's portfolio, so I called her and she answered right away which meant alot to me as previously contacted people asked me to either email or busy or make an appointment or too expensive or they couldnt come to the house on the wedding day. Furthermore, her prices for both trial and wedding day were reasonable. She was also able to give me a trial appointment the same week. We discussed most of the details prior to the trial. On the day of trial, we worked out all the details with my long hair and make up. I loved the final product. I showed my hair and makeup to my Fiance at that time, now my husband, because he doesnt like heavy make up (and neither do I) and more of a natural flawless look and It was! he loved it and So, did I. On the wedding day, Jessica and her co-worker arrived early at our house to take care of me and my bridesmaids. There were no surprises, it was EXACTLY how I wanted it. We did air brush make up with light natural eye shadow with just a small hint of red-bronze color on the ends and wow, it felt so light, stayed on all day, matched all of my outfits. Jessica was available to do my make-up and my mother's make-up when my plan A took a nose dive. I was very comfortable with Jessica. She came to the house and did a trial on me and we talked about what make-up I was comfortable with and she also gave some advice as to what would look good given my make-up preference (which was to be natural, but made up focusing on the eyes). The whole trial experience was so relaxing, I was relaxed on my wedding day when she came and did my mother's and then mine.
