Soggy Phad Thai... it was pink...
    Alicia C.

This was an interesting experience ... Service wise, it was good. The server was tentative and understood I was on a time crunch. She brought me my receipt after ordering so that I could pay whenever I needed to. She was kind and polite. What was weird about it was that the restaurant was playing Emo Screamo Rock music... screaming music not exactly what I want to hear on a Thursday lunch afternoon... good thing I had Netflix on my phone .... As for the food, I'm not sure why I keep expecting good things out of FOCO Asian cuisine. I'm always disappointed. The Phad Thai was extremely soggy and pink... I've never seen pink Phad Thai before. The shrimp was definitely frozen shrimp. There was a huge portion of peanuts served on top. The sunny delight was alright. Good amount of veggies and portions. A bit heavy on the gravy sauce. The Tom yum soup was crazy sour ! Usually there's a small kick to "no spicy" but all I tasted was lime ... it almost made it hard to eat. The crab Rangoon a were okay, but definitely not the best I've had. I would say Panda Express had better crispy rangoons... Now the mango sticky rice dessert. That was interesting. After getting over how hot the rice was, it turned out to be a decent treat. Would I go back for it? Probably not, but it made the experience a bit better. The coconut milk was just runny. No thickness to it and it didn't do much for sweetness. Still I give it a 2 star rating for the server and the dessert. I'm not even sure if I even want to eat the leftovers I took home ...

Spicy Bangkok Fried Rice with chicken

We've ordered from Simply Thai several times since moving into FoCo. I appreciate they have an easy to use website for ordering pick up/delivery with customized options. My partner picked this up for us to eat at the park. We also had their chef special Green Curry with prawns - yum! We also had the Bangkok fried rice with Singapore noodles. They give plenty of meat with the orders, which is something I note as some restaurants serve smaller/less protein. We've since ordered through their site for delivery. We did a curry tasting night with 2 full size curries and 3 of the smaller side portions. We had plenty to use for leftovers the next few days. One of the curries separated a bit in the fridge, but mixed back together and cooked up beautifully with some rice. An important note for us spice heads : they don't hold back if you get a 4 or 5! I was very satisfied with our lvl 5 red curry, perfect balance of pain and pleasure with its rich flavor. We'll be ordering again and recommend it for others to have a great and affordable feast!

Cozy, welcoming place with absolutely delicious food (the coconut rice is divine). Workers handle busy food orders very well and are courteous and polite. Will definitely be coming back!!!

    The red curry was amazing!!

I'm pretty sure they have the best red curry I've ever had. It was rich and spicy and delicious. I barely looked up from my food to visit with my best friend that I was in town visiting. I will now come here every time I come visit her. Service was attentive and friendly and it's a casual, nice looking, clean place. Yum, yum, yum!!

I love thai food. Specialty Simply Thai. You can read my review of the Windsor location to for the specifics. Same friendly service, same great food. My favorite dish: chicken panang curry with coconut rice, and a thai tea. Mmm mmm good.

Food was just ok, but since I had to eat it with my hands (delivery) there's no way I can recommend this place.

Her recommendations to try anything here are spot on. The food was A1. We had a soup bowl Koi-sho (sp?) with beef, a chicken Thai basil stir fry, crab cheese, and spring rolls. We only regret we can't return in the near future, because we don't live in Colorado. It was completely worth the trip across town from our hotel to enjoy authentic food. The ingredients were fresh, the sauces were put together with expertise, the presentation was just right. I thought the spice level of 1 was perfect--heat that didn't overwhelm the other flavors. My husband didn't complain about his level 2. He thought it was great, but he wouldn't go higher. The restaurant itself is basic tables and chairs, but each table has a beautiful live flower rooting in water. Everything looked and felt clean.

Anyway, somewhere I'd heard relatively good things, so I stopped in for take-out when I found myself on this side of town. It was well into the dinner hour but the place was relatively empty - just a couple of people at one table. In retrospect, I should have taken this as a sign. I ordered one of my go-to dishes - pad see ew - and decided to try the fried tofu as an appetizer. I am struggling to find anything positive to say, so I'll just give it to you straight. The pad see ew had barely any broccoli, which to me is essential to the dish. I ordered it with beef - they used steak, but it was cut into tiny pieces and tough - cooked too fast and too well done most likely. The tofu was deep fried hard - as in there was a really hard crust - and it was packaged with absolutely no garnish, just the hard blocks of tofu and a container of sauce. I'm not sure if they've recently changed ownership or if I caught them on a bad day - it just seems weird to me that my experience was so contrary to all of the other reviews. I may give them another chance, but I can't say that I'm going to hurry back.

They're a little pricey, but it's great food! The dish I would not order again is the flaming soup. It's described as a hot and sour soup in a flaming pot with shrimp and vegetables. We ordered it to try something new, but didn't care for the pineapple pieces in the soup. Service is always great regardless of whether you're getting food to go or dining in. From the moment we walked in - I'm recovering from recent shoulder surgery and dressing isn't easy so I didn't look my best - I discreetly asked the hostess if it was ok for me to come in looking kinda grungy and she sweetly told me I looked cute. Then a very friendly young man led us to our table. The place was packed, there were a lot of families with children as well as older folks like my hubby and me. Our waiter was also very friendly. Hubby and I usually each order soup, then we order 2 appetizers and one entree to split when we go to Asian restaurants. We ordered the same here. The egg drop soup was heartier than we expected, it had corn and little bit of chicken in it. It was delicious. Our appetizers, spring rolls and wrapped shrimp, were delicious and they were served on beds of noodles with sliced carrots and cucumbers around the edges of the plates. We had to ask our waiter for carry out containers before our entree even arrived. Our entree, pork with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and oyster sauce was delicious....just like everything else was. And since we ordered too much we had enough left over for dinner the following night. Hubby and I usually go for Thai or Japanese when we're in the mood for Asian cuisine and we have our favorite spots in FoCo for those (I prefer Thai, he prefers Japanese). We now have our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The food was great and the service was very friendly!
