Harpin's Tire Shop is my go to for any tire related needs! From my Jeep with 20" tires, to my BMW with low profile 18's, they can take care of it! Always fair and competitive pricing too. Mike and his team are very knowledgeable about mounting & balancing and always make sure it's the best that it can be! They offer both new and used tires, if needed in a pinch, but they never have a problem when I bring my own, new tires to be mounted! Everyone at Harpin's Tire Shop were helpful in plugging up my tire. Other places said they wouldn't get me in for another week due to being short staffed. They were welcoming and chose the cheapest but most efficient option for my situation. I recommend coming here for any tire needs. read more

Super helpful & welcoming. Had a nail in my tire and thought it would need to be replaced. He suggested to plug it and save $10.00. Other places weren't able to get me in until a week or more after I called. Understandable since places are short staffed lately. Never go here, they broke my car after they changed my tire. The guy slammed my car down after the tire change, my car violently bounced around, I heard a snap noise and turned to my friend and said, "OH MY GOD". I barely got it home, they had snapped my radiator. I got a hold of them t my first opportunity and they refuse to take any responsibility. They broke my car and now I have to get a really expensive repair, all out of my own pocket. All i wanted was my tires changed and now my car is junk. Dont go to them, they will manhandle your car and most likely brake it because they have no curtosy. They dont care about you or your car, they just want your money. read more

This is not an old review, it is now 10-07-2020. Don't go here. They'd rather get NO business than some business. I went there today to have 2 tires mounted and balanced. I get there and they tell me $35.00 each. I said you quoted me $20.00 each on the phone. Kid says NO thats for used tires but if you bring new tires it's $35.00 each because you bought the tires elsewhere and we have to make something. I said yeah thats why I'm here...$20.00 a piece is fair. They said no. So I go next door at A Plus Tire and Auto repair. They quote $25 per tire doesnt matter if new or used, why would we care, it doesn't change the work thats being done ! I said exactly. So thats where I went. So not only does Harpin lose this job to their more qualifed neighbor, Now I'll never go back for anything else. They also have old equipment in there. Looks like a shack ready to fall down. The chain smoker kid working the desk will have to go to McDonalds soon to support his smoking habit. No wonder there's never any cars parked at Harpins ... Crooks. Go next door to A+ Tire and Auto... Hard to find a place to park but they know what they're doing and they have modern alignment equipment and computerized balancing machine. read more

Had my cars brakes done and I had a problem with them a couple weeks later so I went in a told them my issue and that I just paid over 500 to get them done and got the biggest run around never again read more

I needed a tire and boom, they had a used one (which looked new) for a very low price. Replaced the crapped out one and I was ready to go in 10 minutes from the time I arrived. Very nice people and excellent service. Will definitely be using them as my tire dealer from now on. read more

I have been getting my tires at Harpin's for many years and I always like that the price was low and the price that they quote was the price you paid. I had a price to install a catalytic converter and Harpin's price was half that price. read more

My husbands car broke down in North Providence RI. We thought it was his battery and that he just needed a jump start but the people across the street at auto zone came over to help and said it was his starter. They told us that they sold the starter for $139 We are not mechanics though and can not do the work so we called AAA and had the car towed to Harpin Tire. We live in Blackstone and had used this mechanic in the past. When we got there they told us the price for the part was $300. My husband and I just looked at each other thinking these people were crazy. We told them that we just came from auto zone and they said the part was $139. They began to tell us a story about how their part was better. We told them that we didn't mind having the cheaper part since the car had high milage anyways. So I drove to auto zone and picked up the part which happened to be cheaper at the Woonsocket location for $129. The man at the counter was very nice and told me that Harpin Tire was one of their customers and they get there parts from them. So basically they were going to give us the same part but were marking the price of the part to be over 100%. I asked the man at the counter what he thought to be fair labor cost for installing a starter. He said that book time for the install was .9 of an hour and a mechanic usually gets about 60-80 an hour so somewhere at about $80 would be fair. When we returned from auto zone with the part the mechanic then old us that labor would be $180!!! So basically because he wasn't making the $100+ on the part from us he had to stick it to us for labor. We would have gone elsewhere but the car was already towed there and I feel like they new that and took advance of it. Makes me wonder how many times we've been ripped off there before. We will be finding a new mechanic for sure! read more
