I wouldn't recommend. I used this shop because it was the closest in network facility with SilverRock. Brian at the shop is great. Those Richard and Donna characters are unpleasant and unprofessional. The employees left my drivers seat disgusting with grease all over. The screws were not screwed on. I went to my regular mechanic to check their work afterwards. They text me to grab the car after hours on a Friday. I tried calling the shop & Donna personal cell because I had a $100 deductible. Nobody answered. Even while they had my car they would decline my calls and I didn't call daily at all. I would leave messages and nobody responded. Monday after I picked up my car they started texting me about the deductible. I gave them the same treatment they gave me as I called for updates on my vehicle. They had my car from 8/3-8/21 (not their fault). The richard guy starts calling me 8 times in a row leaving messages that he is calling regarding my court date. Extremely unprofessional especially for $100 I had all intentions of paying. read more

Dirty mechanics work here, so please do yourself a favor and DON'T bring your car here if you like to keep it clean because they don't care about cleanliness here one bit!!! I've had to CLEAN OILY GRIM AND DIRTY FINGER PRINTS out and off my car after spending OVER a THOUSAND dollars here on TWO different occasions. Also I was lied to over the phone about the car having an alignment done to it when come to find out it wasn't even performed. Went to pick up my car and it was literally driving the exact same way it was when I dropped it off and they said it was fixed... did they even test drive it? I don't believe it one bit. They completely over filled my power steering fluid to the point that fluid was leaking out past the cap/top of reservoir and I had to clean it / take some out . Tell me why it has a min / max fill line on side if it ? Just completely ignore that ok got it . Also it's not ok to park it like shit close as hell to another car in the lot so I can barely open the door / have to squeeze into it when picking it up after spending almost $ 2,000. Don't park it like a half ass dick. Yeah you have a small lot but try harder for your customers!! Never going back here and you shouldn't either !! It's no wonder this place is buried behind 3 other businesses all the way up a hill way out back .... So they can get away with doing shady shit. read more

Horrible experience. They said the transmission was no good and had to be replaced. When the job was done I drove 1/4 mile down rode when car started shaking and front end sounded like metal on metal. Went back to shop. A couple of days later was told the hub was bad. Hours later was told the axle was also bad. This should have been seen when the transmission was dropped. Now they want more $ and can't guarantee that there is nothing else wrong. I would not have replaced the transmission if they had given a complete evaluation. Car is now on its way to the scrap yard. read more

First i have no trouble with the Men of the craft. All decent experiences. That being said it is really easy to feel taken advantage of here. Lol My truck went through these repairs a short time ago. Transmission and lines replaced. Couple of months. It is now back for a replacement under warranty. I understand like they said sometimes you get a bad one. Going on two months now and feeling the pinch of paying the bills and not having the truck. I have no choice but to call and inquire I was told that they are at the mercy of the warranty company to send a replacement transmission. When did this become my cost of doing business. I am a one man show I can not sustain these costs as well as my own. Please try not to hold the customer accountable when they call upset some may never recover from the experience. read more

They claimed to have put two transmissions in out vehicle and charged for other repairs after having the car for 3 months both times. This shop is sketchy af. They dont know the differences between transmission fluids and what is recromended. The remanufactured transmission had dextron 6 in it and not mericon 5. And warentees are not transferable. Find yourself a reputable shop. Or you are gonna end up roght back there.. and the lady that answers the phone she sounded so pleasant. My vehicle was there for 5 weeks and it's my fault for calling to check on it weekly. If there was an option for a zero rating, I would give it to Franklin Transmission without hesitation. I am warning everyone reading this: do not bring your vehicle here. This business is run by some of the most unprofessional and rude individuals I have ever dealt with. Donna, one of the owners, hung up on me multiple times when I was simply trying to follow up on the company vehicle that had been in their shop for weeks. The complete lack of respect and dishonesty is shocking. Both Donna and her husband, Richard, are rude, dishonest, and completely disrespectful toward their customers. I first contacted Richard during the week of Thanksgiving to request a second opinion on my truck. He assured me the truck would be on the lift and back to me by Friday, November 29th. However, I never heard back. After trying to follow up with no response, I finally connected with Donna on Tuesday, who claimed the truck hadn't even been looked at yet due to the "high volume" of vehicles. At this point, after Donna and Richard gave me the runaround for weeks I decided to take my vehicle elsewhere, so I went to pick it up. To my surprise, I was told that the bay door was broken, and they couldn't get my truck out until it was repaired. Not once was I informed of this when I called. They refused to release my vehicle, which led to an escalation of the situation. I had to involve the police and had the authorities meet me at Franklin Transmission due to the nature of the escalation. The communication with this business is terrible, and the disconnect between customer and business is appalling. They seem friendly and eager to help at first, but once you're out the door, you never hear from them again. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau to prevent others from going through this same awful experience. In short, this business is untrustworthy, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I brought my sons 2007 Toyota Camry to AAMCO in North Attleboro. They tried to tell me that I needed a extensive transmission repair. I am mechanically inclined, and I realized that this was utter nonsense. I contacted Franklin transmission. The car received a transmission flush with the proper Toyota fluid, and now it shifts perfectly. My a/c died a couple of weeks ago, I thought maybe I needed refrigerant but the gauge I purchased says the pressure was at about 36 which was actually perfect levels of refrigerant. The a/c issue was something else and needed a real expert's diagnosis. This is the first time I have ever used Yelp quote request through direct messaging. I submitted my question and any information I could provide, I received a response so quickly! Cortney reached out to see when I would be able to bring my 2007 Honda Civic si down to be checked. I was so gracious for their quick response. Cortney was able to schedule me for the following day, how amazing is that! I pull into the auto shop, greeted by Cortney, she takes the keys, gives them to Paul, then Paul takes the car and checks it out. No waiting around at all. Paul asked me what are the issues I had with the car which brought me in today. I told him I needed a second opinion because the shop who installed a brand new ac compressor 2 years ago says I now need a new one. Then the shop also mentioned they taped together a wire so it wouldn't be loose which was causing the ac compressor not receive power. Therefore it couldn't turn on. So I asked which wire it was, and that shop could not identify it for me, only responded with "you need a new ac compressor". Instead of allowing that shop to take me to the cleaners, I wanted a second opinion which brought in to see Paul at Franklin Transmission and Auto Care. Paul proceeded with my car keys and says he'll take a look at it. After about a half hour, Cortney advised she was going to check on the status of my car. She and Paul walks up to me and says its all set. My head is spinning, all set?! Yes, the car had been diagnosed and the ac is running on ice cold. To my amazement, the issue was not that I needed a new ac compressor, it was not plugged in properly by the shop who originally installed it. If you feel like the current shop you are with is trying to take you the cleaners, I totally recommend you check out Franklin Transmission Auto Care for a second opinion. After my visit, I left feeling they are an honest shop and will be upfront about their findings. They saved me 7x the cost I was quoted else where. I left there with a huge smile and my windows rolled up all the way!! No more open windows for me this summer. Thank you all so much! read more

These guys are great! My parents recently had a major issue with their Mercury Milan's transmission. The dealership was useless and was ready to replace the transmission to the tune of almost $5K! Enter Gary and the team at Franklin Transmission! They rebuilt the transmission at a reasonable price within a very reasonable timeframe. They explained everything to us and were honest and kind to my parents calls and questions. They also found a previous issue of damage caused by the dealership on a previous visit and were kind enough to write up an explanation so we can go back and get it fixed properly! Honest people here! Recently, I brought my 1996 Ranger here to fix a transmission leak based on the other Yelp reviews. They called to tell me they found a crack in the frame. It was a substantial crack and I have since retired the truck as a result. They did not perform any transmission work and did not charge me a dollar. I will start off by saying I have been using Franklin transmission for over 10 years and have always appreciated Richard and his team. It seems Richard is going broke and taking his reputation and long returning clients with him. He has lost my business and my entire fleet will no longer be receiving service from him. When a mechanic says that the job is done and everything is ready to go I expect what I paid for to be true. He says one thing but doesn't check with his mechanic to make sure everything is ready to go. I have no problem letting him fix a mistake, which he has always been good about. But when he proceeded to charge me double for a job that I had already paid for and he tried to pull that I damaged it in just driving down the street to my business. I will no longer use his services and I would suggest you get everything in writing upfront if you do. Also look around. He is no longer the best price in the area. If he was I wouldn't be writing this. I have 15 trucks that I have constant maintenance done to. That will no longer be getting his service. My 2004 Honda Odyssey's transmission failed while on vacation with my family 2 years ago. After speaking with a relative, I was told Franklin Automatic Transmissions was the best place to get it fixed. Honda quoted me a price of 5500 to replace it, Franklin charged 2800. I did a lot of research before we got the trans fixed, and I came to learn that many honda trans of this era fail within the 8-12k range after being rebuilt - I also learned that Honda did not rebuild the transmissions (they farm it out) due to the high failure rate of their rebuilds. I was on the fence if we should fix or not. We've place 24,000 on the rebuild, and having Franklin fix it is the best decision we could have made. The transmission is shifting amazingly smooth. I have a friend who got his transmission fixed at a different shop, and you can literally FEEL the difference at the shift points - his is very hard shifting, mine is flawless. Franklin is run by honest and professional people who won't charge you for something you don't need. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

Had a 2003 Honda with over 360k miles on it and leaking transmission fluid. Honda said it was an axle seal and replacing it was not worth it because of "play" in the axle and other mumbo-jumbo. they concluded it really needed a new transmission and quoted me $4,200. Brought it to Franklin Automatic Transmission an hour later (not knowing Honda looked at it) and they agreed it was an axle seal and Billy quotes me $180 and the final bill was $150. I took my 2009 Nissan Sentra here a few weeks ago because the engine was revving on the highway. I am not the most car savvy person in the world, but the team at Franklin Auto Transmissions explained the issue (turns out the air filter was dirty and loose) honestly and with integrity. They also noticed my heat shield was loose and fixed it without me having to ask for it. I had been dreading getting this looked at for weeks, thinking it would be very expensive, but it turned out it only cost around $150! Was ripped off $3,500 by the new owners. We brought a truck in they told us it was the transmission we paid them $3,500 they replace the transmission we drove it off the lot with the same problem. The owners yelled at us threaten to call the cops if we didn't leave their property refused to take the transmission out and give us our money back so now we put a $3,500 Transmission in our truck, and still have a truck that does not shift. We used Karen in Girard for 10 years great owners backed up their work. These new owners are rude and will throw Parts at your car just to make a dollar. Customers beware. read more

This shop will screw your vehicle up and then screw you over on the warrenty I'm not the first to say this but I'm the first to post this. They installed my new transmission and it works fine. However they also destroyed my transfer case when they said it was leaking after they test drove the truck. 1800$ for a new one from the factory for a 2500$ transmission build. Yea and then they wouldn't own up to there mistake and even have the nerve to call my machanic's shop and cuss them out. If you seriously need your vehicle worked on especially drive train wise"transmission" I seriously say you look elsewhere. This shop is great. Over the years I've brought several cars and each time Gery, the owner, told me that I should keep driving it until the transmission fails. His reasoning was that he could fix it now or fix it later; my choice. In two cases the cars lasted several years longer, saving me a boatload of money. Recently, I had a Jetta with a strange transmission problem that no one could figure out. Billy spent days researching the problem until they were able to fix it. The charge was very reasonable.
