In 2020 our upstairs air conditioner went out and they came and installed a new furnace and air conditioner super quick with a great price and awesome service. A couple of days ago our downstairs air conditioner wasn't working right and they came out right away - super fast - and found that we just needed a new blower in our furnace and they got the part and had it in a couple hours after that. Our old AC finally bit the dust and of course it's summer! We got 4 estimates , one of them was SIMS on a recommendation from a friend . They turned out to be the lowest bid , of course that was one reason , but one of the owners Bob also does the work, not just a sales person. There's only one word I can use to describe the service I got from SIMS Heating & Air and its "AMAZING"!!! I always dread having to call for services like AC and plumbing repair because you never know when you're getting ripped off. But SIMS has made my AC repair experience so easy and painless. Just 2 days prior, I had gotten a quote for my leaking pipe on the AC furnace area from another AC repair company and was quoted a $3000 job because there might be mold from the water, which required me to apply for home insurance protection, where I pay my deductable and they would credit me some money back, now that just sounded like a insurance scam to me, so I told them I needed to get a second opinion. So I called SIMS on Monday morning to schedule an estimate. I described the problem over the phone and was immediately given the quote of $89 to clear the pipes and stop the leaking. I also got a time slot of 12:30 to 1:30pm. At around 12pm, I received a call to be informed that they might be running late, which I thought was already great service to be informed of their late arrival rather then just sitting there wondering where they are at. When they had arrived at 1:35pm, the problem was quickly assessed, and sure enough all I needed was to have the pipe unclogged. They not only unclogged the pipes but also installed an attachment so I can clear the pipes on my own in the future. They also changed the AC filter free of charge. The grand total of the service was $89, and they wouldn't take a penny more. As for the mold, I can let wall dry and kill it with bleach or just replace the drywall on my own. Honesty and integrity is sometimes just so hard to find in this type of service profession, and I am so glad I found SIMS on Yelp! To think I could have been paying thousands for unnecessary work on my AC is just mind boggling. read more

After meeting and speaking with other companIes reps, some who quoted me some eyebrow raising prices and others, evaissive in their responses. I chose to go with SIMS Heating & Air. They were not the cheapest for an inspection but reasonable. A pleasant and enthusiastic young man arrived and immediately began to explain what he was going to do and based on my system's symptoms I had explained, he replied that this sounds like a simple fix...hmmm?! He initiated his first of inspections on my A/C and conducted his work while I kept an eye out as if I knew what in tarnation he was doing. He completed that and stated that it was not what he first suspected....hmmm So now, he goes to the furnace in the attic where others had told me my problem was and it was going to cost me upwards of $500-$800 dollars at least. Young man goes into my attic away from my view now and I'm at his mercy. A few minutes later and he states that my furnace has tripped a switch that when it feels it's over heating, it trips! Much like a circuit breaker. After clutching my pearls in a sigh of relief, he says...that will be $89 dollars. So it's not my motherboard or burned out circuits like others had mentioned? Not at all, he replied, but it's something that with regular preventative maintenance would have been spotted and taken care of. I admire his honesty, professionalism and courtesy. He met me at the location, on time and he personally made the quote during the peak of hot season. For a variety of reasons, this particular job was going to be a pain in the rear. No problem, they still knocked it out in record time and exactly to spec. To further complicate matters, I was acting as a proxy for the property owner, who was overseas at the time. Dan and his team are lifesavers. I called SIMS Heating and Air for a bid to replace 2 roof top air conditioners and he was out there the next day. I got a lot of bids on this project, and I literally had another company come that same day and pass on it because it was too complex for them -- we had a furnace that needed to be moved in the attic, new ducting for both units, and the rooftop platform they sat on needed to be replaced. Dan never wavered and was confident that they could find a solution. We were in constant communication and he was so helpful in figuring out how to coordinate all the little details to make the project go smoothly. We have several other projects going on, and no one has been easier to reach than Dan! He was also the most knowledgeable of all the professionals we spoke with, and we had complete confidence he would get the job done. Dan and his team coordinated with a crane company and roofers to get all aspects of the project plan approved and completed on time and within budget. He and his partners worked for 3 days straight in the heat of the summer to get our old units disconnected and our new ones working perfectly. This meant a lot of time on the roof and in the exceptionally hot crawl spaces. John and Bob were outstanding! They are clearly experts in the field and Dan knows how to retain the best of the best. Everyone communicated well with each other and with me, keeping me in the loop at all phases. SIMS will be my first call and recommendation for all future heating and air issues. I messaged SIMS Heating & Air to have them come out and find out the problem with my air conditioning unit outside since it would just click when I try to turn it on. Dan replied to me and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. The house was built in 1987 and nothing of the air conditioning system has been replaced since, as far as I know. I was worried parts would not be available to fix it. Fortunately, it was all an easy fix and Jon had everything on the truck to get the unit working again. They came out on a Friday to give me a bid on a whole new unit that was over 30 years old and by the following Friday everything was installed and running (About 3 weeks ago).
