Honestly, this was one of the best experiences I've had. Blair (river daddy), Scott and Dina were extremely funny, friendly, personable and cared deeply for us. They provide water, sunscreen, and phone cases for free. They take multiple pictures of everyone and post them on their Facebook for you to save. Not many other companies do that. From start to finish, it was an immersive experience on the one and only Colorado River. I forgot a hat and was even able to borrow one. Even though it was a hot day (119°) the river was so cool and refreshing. We were reminded often to drink water and reapply sunscreen, especially after swimming. The Emerald Cave is 100% worth seeing and I am so happy to give a small business that cares about their people my money. 20/10 would recommend. Thank you River Daddy & team!
This was an amazing day!! Blair and Ignacio are the best! They make the day so fun, enjoyable and relaxing. The small group size keeps it very peaceful on the river. These guys think of everything like water bottles, lunch & snacks, footballs, and frisbees. We had a fun time playing catch on the small beach we stopped at. They have dry bags for your gear, sunblock and waterproof phone covers. These guys even take pictures of us all day and post them later for everyone to download!! Emerald cave is so beautiful on a sunny day. It really does look like the advertisement picture!!! These guys really know how to have fun and treat everyone like first class clients. Will definitely come do their adventure tours again!!! Great job guys!!! -Mt Dew buddies for life!!!
This was our first time kayaking. Blair and Ignacio were great guides from the moment we were picked up from our hotels all the way to the end of our kayaking trip. Service was top notch, genuine care and good people. We were kayaking past other groups who were in much larger numbers and appreciated how much more intimate our group was. Good sandwiches for lunch and we rested at a nice little "beach" stop along the Colorado River. The emerald cove was beautiful, well worth to see in person. The whole trip was fun, inform and relaxing. I would highly recommend to do this while visiting Vegas. Get out of the hustle and bustle of the strip and see some of the beautiful outdoors. Support local businesses, especially this one! You won't be sorry. Plus, they are great picture takers!
(((Short Version))) Venture Out Vegas should definitely be your choice for Emerald Cave kayaking while visiting Las Vegas. (((Long Version))) -Introduction- I am not an outdoor person. I hate being out in heat and I don't know how to swim. When my friend suggested that we go on a kayak tour on Colorado River, I was very hesitant. But with pandemic going on, I figured outdoor activity might be safer than going somewhere with tons of people near me. -Tour Guide- Blair and Daniel were our guide and they were very professional. And most importantly made sure that we were staying safe. They were prepared in every possible way, from bottles and bottles of cold water to plenty of sunblock to cover my whole body 5 times or so. They kept reminding us to reapply sunblock and hydrate ourselves. We needed it, because it was 110 degrees outside. At one point, an asshole drove by his boat little too fast and created a big enough wave to flip my wife and myself. We weren't in much danger since we were both wearing life vest. But also importantly, Blair and Daniel made sure that we were OK and helped us very patiently to get us back on the kayak. I felt very safe and well protected. When we were at the Emerald Cave, my friend dropped her sunglasses. Even though she insisted that they were cheapo, Blair volunteered to jump into cold water to see if he could retrieve it. -Tour Size- Blair likes to keep the tour group really small. Our group was just 6 people plus 2 guides. Other kayak tour groups I've seen had well over 10 people. -Heat- yes, it was 110 degrees on the day we went. However, Colorado river runs very cold, at around 60 degrees. As long as we were on the water, heat really wasn't an issue. -Break Time- Though they usually provide lunch, pandemic made it hard for them to do so. Our group packed some food from hotel. We had lunch at a shaded area. Blair gave us plenty of time to eat, chill, and swim in nice cold Colorado River. -Time- After meeting up with Blair and Daniel for safety at an off site location for safety meeting, we drove to the river docking area. From there, we were on water for about 4 hours. Driving back to Las Vegas strip took about 45 minutes. -Physical Demand- I don't exercise regularly, so my body was quite sore the day after. But it wasn't too hard to keep up with the group and I got used to rowing pretty quick.
Venture out Vegas is the best guided kayaking tour in town. I wouldn't want my money going anywhere else for this experience. Blair was amazing from beginning to end and he is really knowledgeable about a lot of animals and historical markers on the river. Plus he makes it fun!! Way to go Blair and Venture out Vegas!! We will be back
If you are looking for an amazing adventure in Las Vegas, with guides who really care and go out of their way to show you a phenomenal experience, Venture Out is your crew. From beginning to end, they take care of all of the details, show you great hospitality and provide everything you need for a safe, fun trip. Their kayaks are large and well-built, and they provide life vests, water, snacks, food, lights, and glow- in-the-dark fun items to light the way. We learned about the history of the Colorado River and took our time exploring the gorgeous Emerald Cave. We got to explore the bat cave and the beautiful canyon as the sun set over the mountains. We learned about the animals, fish, and birds that make their home on the Colorado River. I so appreciate Blair and Christine and all that they did to provide a great experience. Thank you!
My husband and I go to Vegas pretty often. We keep our trips simple: gamble, eat, and relax. We're pleased with how our hotel is taking every single precaution to keep their guests safe during the COVID pandemic, but staying at the hotel to gamble and eat isn't the same experience as it was pre-COVID. So my husband and I decided to "venture out (of) Vegas" and try kayaking, per the recommendation of our friends. I was a bit nervous because I've never been kayaking before. I like being outdoors, and I loved adventuring as a kid. But adventuring is different when you're an adult. I'm old and creaky, and people are more apprehensive to try new things as an adult. It didn't matter though, because my husband already bought the tour package and I had no other choice but to suck it up and try. And I'm so glad I did! Our tour guide and kayak instructor, Blair, was totally awesome. Blair was easygoing, informative, and very receptive to his clients' needs. Again, I've never been kayaking before, but Blair and his colleague Daniel were so patient with our group, and by the end of the first hour, we were all pro-kayakers. Blair is a professional and knows exactly what he's doing. He provided the life vests, sunscreen, water bottles, and lunch. He even took pictures throughout the day and shared them with the group at the end of the tour. I also appreciated the size of our group. I noticed a lot of other large tour groups around us, but Blair keeps his group tight-knit for a more personalized touch. I highly recommend Venture Out Vegas, especially if it's your first time kayaking. I didn't really have any expectations besides burning in the sun and possibly tipping over in the kayak, but neither happened! And I'm so happy I tried something new on my Vegas trip.
We decided to do something "untypical" of a Vegas trip and decided to go Kayaking. There are so many companies that offer a kayaking tour but their reviews steered us away. We came across Venture Out Vegas and there was literally nothing but great reviews so we decided to give them a shot. They are a little more expensive than the other companies but let me tell you, you will absolutely not regret spending the extra money on the experience Blair and Ignacio provides. They made us feel so welcomed & from the very beginning and it felt like we were kind of already friends in a sense. They are very easy going yet 100% professional and it was just a very chill, peaceful and memorable experience. We opted to drive ourselves to location and Blair gave us details and was very communicative with us. Also during the kayaking adventure they took pictures of us which made it more memorable than just pictures of us taking pictures of ourselves view. The lunch they provided was filling and good. Blair also provided us with cold/frozen water which was nice to have on a hot day when we didn't think or had the option to bring frozen water! He was literally prepared for us (if we forgot to bring anything) sun block, water, lunch, waterproof phone pouches (which I would suggest bringing your own and wear water shoes!!) The only thing I would say is there is literally no place for you to use the bathroom during this adventure so if you have a active bladder then I'm not sure how this will work for you since it is a 4 hour adventure. But I'm sure Blair and Ignacio has a way to help anyone with that! On a final note I can truly say this was a great experience, which was also our first time kayaking. They educated us on many topics of the area, kayaking safety, the wild animals in the area and the history of the location/river. If I can give them more stars I would and I am not a easy person to please but this right here is a must do. They are fantastic!

Best time ever! Blair and his crew are amazing! We had so much fun ! Get out there people. The water is beautiful and feels so great in this heat. They are professional and knowledgeable and so fun. Don't want to ruin the surprise adventure...but swimming...seeing the great outdoors. We saw 3 baby Big Horn sheep today! Epic water fights. I have already done this tour 3 times and will definately be back a few times this summer! Five stars all the way!!

We had an unforgettable experience kayaking at Emerald Cove with Venture Out Vegas! Blair was absolutely amazing--friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip fun and relaxing from start to finish, we even had other people on kayaks that where waiting to get into emerald cove comment what a great tour guide Blair was. He made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable and shared so much interesting information about the area. The scenery was breathtaking, and Blair truly went above and beyond to make the experience special. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be recommending this tour to all our friends. We had a blast. We thought Labor Day would filled with chaos or big crowd, but this tour gave us soo much fun and relaxing hot day in the cold water. Blair and Dexter are amazing, awesome personality and treat us great, fun fun fun. Can't wait to try the other kayak trips. Thanks guys. read more

Took my gf on a kayak tour that consisted of two other guest kayaks and two guide yaks. A days worth of exploring in the lake and on land(took a small hike to view the scenery and history of lake Mead. Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Prices are very reasonable/affordable. Hit up Blair and I'm sure he will not upset two thumbs up read more
Even before our adventure with this tour group i had a positive experience with Daniel and Blair. They answered my numerous questions and always responded in a timely manner. Reading their reviews compared to the others, no doubt this was my #1choice. They communicated with such perfect professionalism and respect. They picked us up at our hotel exactly at the time they said they would. Politeness and great information all the way to our launch site. They kept the group to a smaller size compared to the other tours that have way too many people and not allowing time to enjoy. It was perfectly organized and planed, they cared for our needs like a parent would with their children, offering us sunscreen and water. Perfect rest area on a nice beach location for a light lunch they provided once again always offering us water. They allowed us to take a swim and take photos. What an epic day! We are always looking for fun things to do, and with Covid , we've tried to do more things closer to home , and I'm so glad we decided to spend the day kayaking with Venture Out Vegas! Our guides, Blair and Ignacio could not have been more fun and accommodating. The company will pick you up on the strip, or if you are a local like we are, you can drive to Boulder City and meet up, and Hop into their van to ride down to Willow Beach. We went on the Emerald Cove Tour and YES it really is that green! We had a full day on the river, approx 5 miles round trip. We stopped for lunch, swimming , and just enjoying the beautiful day- Afterwards, we went to the Emerald Cove and it was great. We headed back to Willow Beach, and never felt rushed- they definitely made sure everyone was enjoying their day. Overall, everyone in our group agreed that it was really a great experience . Get out if your comfort zone and get out in the River with Venture Out Vegas- you wine be disappointed! read more

I haven't kayaked in over 10 years, and when I did it was in beautiful San Diego. I never even considered kayaking out on a river. I thought it would be boring, there's nothing to do, the ocean is way better, blah blah blah. I was soooo wrong and now I want to buy a kayak and go into every lake and river possible! Blair (who is a boy) and Iggy were amazing. My boyfriend and I joined them and 1 other couple on an adventure through the Emerald Caves. We launched in Willow Beach (also never been there before, super pretty!) and I think they said we went about 4-5 miles? Anyway, the entire experience was just incredible. I can't describe how relaxed I was and how much I needed that because with everything going on right now, relaxing at any possible moment is a must. Only thing that would have made this trip better is if I had a michelada! The cave we went into was small, but majestic. The colors in the water were just beautiful, and I'm talking no filters required, beautiful. What I loved most was how small our group was. Blair gave us a very educated tour of the river and had all sorts of fun facts about the buildings (I should say building, since it was just the one), the historical sites, and the wildlife ( we saw a rattle snake!!). Other groups were around us and there were so many people that they often got separated and one poor dude even capsized....AND HE WAS WEARING YEEZYS! C'mon bro. Our group was small enough that Blair was able to go over any safety tips we needed as well as paddling and maneuvering through the water, which my honey greatly appreciated and became a pro at steering in like 5 minutes. They don't take more than 10 people at a time, so you'll definitely have my experience over the poor guy that flipped over. Thank you so much Blair and Iggy, I can not wait to go again! read more

Shout out to the BEST KAYAK COMPANY Venture Out Vegas!!! While on our trip yesterday I leaned a little to far left and spilled both my husband and myself into the river, we were all ok and back in the kayak in no time, but my husbands phone sank just out of reach. Venture out Vegas owner Blair, and guide Ignacio went back out this morning with scuba gear, and just hand delivered Dean his iPhone11 that they were able to retrieve off the river bottom .. 100% still working!! ( shoutout to who ever invented these $4 little zip bags.. it kept it safe and dry for a full 24 hours!) And huge Thank you for going above and beyond what any other company would to help our adventure end with nothing but smiles and great memories!! We will 100% be doing more adventures with these guys! read more

We chose the Hoover Dam tour with Blair and this is by far the best day trip experience we've ever had from Vegas. It was just what we needed to recharge our batteries and experience the Colorado river. We looked at many of the other operations that give kayaking tours but Venture Out Vegas stood out because of their attention to detail, professional equipment, and private party experience. I would highly recommend Venture Out Vegas and the Hoover Damn tour to anyone who likes to kayak. read more

Awesome Kayak trip! Going down the Colorado River is a blast especially in the 100 degree plus heat. The water makes up for it being right below 60 degrees. Views are amazing! The Emerald Caves are a thing of beauty with that glow it gets from the sun! My tour guides Blair and Daniel are very friendly and informative! Will also get some nice history about the area as well! Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for an awesome adventure on the water. Nice place to bring a date as well! read more

My fiance and I really enjoyed our kayaking experience! We are not typically outdoorsy but our guides Blair and Daniel made this trip so much fun for us. I loved the more relaxed style and small tour group, which allowed us to get to know everyone and felt much more comfortable as if we were just hanging out with friends. I think we were able to enjoy the water and activity more than if we were in a large group. We felt encouraged, relaxed, and well taken care of as our guides ensured that everyone had plenty of water and that we reapplied sunblock regularly. There were a couple of stops at beaches that allowed us to swim, snack, take photos, etc. We also saw a beautiful view from a cave (and took great photos!). A great way to spend the day out at the lake! Blair is an awesome tour guide, very friendly and helpful from start to finish. He brings everything you'll need from the kayaks & life jackets to sunscreen & spare sunglasses in case you forget yours at home He takes you out to see a couple small caves, little hikes & visit small historical landmarks all within a few miles from the loading dock. The water is chilly & but refreshing when kayaking in the sun you can stop whenever you need to take a break and splash in the water. Such a fun time, I definitely recommend! read more

A huge thank you to Blair, the owner and operator, of Venture Out Vegas for the great day of kayaking. We paddled about 12 miles on the Colorado River and went into the Emerald Cave. This was a small group tour that included lunch and pickup from our hotel. Blair was on point making sure everyone had water and sunscreen and water guns to start a battle with the one child on the tour. I am a travel agent and will 100% book clients with Blair in the future! read more

My first time kayaking and absolutely loved it!! Blair and Ignacio were great, very patient... and showed us exactly what to do. They provided plenty of sunscreen, water, food AND water guns!! What a blast! Will definitely be back! read more
