Since we arrived mid-morning, we decided to try items from both the breakfast and lunch menus. We ordered the omelette and the club sandwich on Texas toast. Both were delicious, and the portions were huge--either dish easily could have been shared. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of TVs for watching sports, and the entire staff was welcoming. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Vegas!

Price is as expected, especially in that part of Las Vegas, but such a tasty meal. We've tried to eat here a few different times, but the line can get so long and with limited seating, it just didn't seem worthwhile. It's the Fourth of July, after all! I ordered the ribs, and they absolutely delivered. I'm typically not a barbecue sauce person, but whatever sauce they use is perfection. The ribs were tender, flavorful, and easily some of the best I've had. They came with baked beans, coleslaw, and corn. I'll be honest--the sides were just okay, but the ribs completely stole the show. My husband ordered the half chicken and half ribs, and that chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful. My aunt loved her salmon, and of course she's still convinced their prime rib is the best around. Even my toddler was happy with her bacon and fries, which made dinner that much easier. As an added bonus, we happened to visit on Friday when they were serving clam chowder, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was so good that we came back the very next day--and yes, I ordered the exact same ribs again. If you're visiting Las Vegas, don't overlook Ellis Island just because it's off the Strip. Sometimes getting away from the crowds is exactly what you need, especially when you're traveling with family. Although I really wanted the bread basket, I held back but the diner next to me did order this, and it looked really good. As expected, dinner was great. Service by the bartender was great, as it normally is. Although I wasn't in town for this specific event, NFR was in full swing, and you could tell by the crowds here the night I went. Restrooms were out of the way, near private dining rooms upstairs accessible via elevator or stairway. This is the only place I visit in Crystals, however every time I have been here, the mall is usually dead. There are only very high-end shops here, so I wonder if that keeps people away, or they only use it as a pass through to get to somewhere else. That being said, I hope Mastro's doesn't go anywhere in case this place ever shuts down (or moves to a nice resort).
