DO NOT USE!! My wife…read moreand I had been working with a roofing contractor in connection with some hail damage from a late May 2017 hailstorm. The roofing contractor working with us (Charlie Meckna) had a medical condition and transitioned the handling of the case over to Shawn Adams at Adams Home Exteriors. The first contractor (Meckna) assured us that Adams Home Exteriors would assist us in assembling information to help us on a homeowners insurance claim concerning hail-roof damage. We spent two months trying to get help and assistance from Shawn Adams on this, to no avail. It was a two-month litany of unreturned phone calls, ignored emails and pleas, and lack of follow-through. We had multiple appointment times for Shawn Adams to come out where he was a flat-out "no show." No apology. Although Shawn Adams finally, after much pleading, visited once to inspect the roof, he promised to give us follow-up materials we could use to show our insurer that the actual hail damage to the roof was greater than what the claims adjuster had estimated. He never delivered on the promise and never bothered to explain why he dropped the ball. Broken promises compounded with unreturned phone calls, ignored emails and a general impression from Adams that this contractor just didn't give a **** leads us to believe that they straight-faced lied to us about their willingness or ability to assist. Had Adams simply leveled with us and said they couldn't help or were overwhelmed with work, we'd have accepted that and moved on. News flash: Be candid with prospective customers. Level with them. Under-promise and over-deliver. Instead, Adams strung us along for months, wasted our time, left us bitterly disappointed and ended up doing absolutely nothing. Adams could've had the inside track for another roofing job. Instead, we got fed up trying to "pull teeth" to get their help when we needed them and we are giving our business to a competitor, another contractor. Roofing work and exterior renovation are hot topics here in Woodland Pond and, believe me, we won't hesitate to share our "customer service" (sic) experience regarding Adams Home Exteriors. Their arrogance and non-responsiveness costs them a job and does not reflect well upon their reputation. Your mileage may vary, but . . . this contractor deserves a "Black Box" warning to any consumer who's looking for assistance on a home contracting job. If this is how they treat prospective customers, just imagine what they might do when they actually get you into a job. They certainly "did a job" on us...

Nathan clearly broke out the numbers and provided an honest and fair assessment of what each option would offer. The work was completed in two days by a very seasoned and professional crew and its never looked better. We will absolutely call them again when we go to replace our front windows next (yes, they do windows too)

Why wouldn't you trust a local company who grew a business on referrals? That was 20 years ago…read more My neighbor used NRR after the hail storm last August. I loved what I saw. The team was courteous, neat and appreciated the case of Corona. It was March - not even hot yet! They even spray painted the air vent pipes black! Anxious to see how the new Ridge Vent works this summer. My 1966-built rancher has always been hot. My skylights were installed 18 years ago, and they've held up so I did not take NRR up on their suggestion to replace them. I did however upgrade the Shingles to the Certainteed Landmark Pro - and glad I did. I can tell the difference. I spoke with the rep for Certainteed and she advised that NRR is ranked a top installer. // I did entertain Absolute Roofing; their "area manager" contacted me after I signed a form requesting a bid. My insurance company said they wanted $24K to replace roof. NRR did a great job for less than 50%. AR threatened me with lawsuit. Good thing I signed their contract: "Permission to contact USAA denied". Hope this helps!

We contracted with Pro Renovations to relocate supporting columns under our deck and pour a…read moreconcrete patio and stamp. We were told that the project would take 3 weeks to complete, but it ended up being 3 months. The structural part of the project went well, but the pouring and stamped concrete was a nightmare. We needed a retaining wall built on a slope and they did not know how to build the form properly and so that the cement would not expand the form. They ended up pouring the cement in 3 sections and the wall still ended up bulging and it looks terrible. We were told that the stamped concrete would also line up with the three different pours and it didn't - they only told us what we wanted to hear. Our patio is not what I was led to believe it would look like and I am so disappointed. We expressed our disappointment to the workers, the project manager and the Owner. It felt like that the project was being planned on the fly and that band aids were being put on after each step to fix the previous step. At the end of the project, the Owner, nor the project manager came to inspect the final product (probably because they knew they had not done a good job and they knew we were not happy). I wrote a 3-page letter about our disappointments and sent it by certified mail to the Owner, included our final payment and pictures of the product. It has been a month and a half since I sent my letter and I expected to receive a response from the Owner, but all he did was cash my check, which says a lot about the company! I am posting this review, hoping that if someone is looking to contract with Pro Renovations, that they need to take into consideration our review. I have never posted a yelp review before until now, but felt it was necessary in this instance to help prevent someone else having the same experience as we did.
