Bryan, without first discussing with me, used an excavator and completely destroyed my lawn - tore up an area measuring 10 feet by 50 feet where there once was grass, and now there is not (photos 1 and 2). Since it wasn't in the contract that he wouldn't destroy my lawn, he says he completed the job with excellence. Further, the end of the pipe where it's supposed to empty out (third photo) is completely buried in soil so this will not actually drain properly. Finally, I politely expressed dismay at the damage and asked to discuss it in person. He proceeded to send a barrage of insulting and nasty texts. Buyers beware.

I'm glad I kept the lines of communication open because I have since called on Bryan to help after I used another plumber who did disappointing work and left a mess, both figuratively and literally. Even though he worked late into the evening and even though it was a Saturday Bryan returned first thing the following morning to finish up. Cassandra kept me in the loop regarding his ETA. It turns out Drain Works has been in business less than 2 years, so they're a young company that is putting things in place to make sure their clients don't drop through the cracks again. I messaged him a couple of hours later asking since he wasn't coming would he be here the following day or the day after that on Friday, May 3 but I didn't get a response. OK, it was late in the day so no worries. I heard from him the following day, Thursday, saying he would be here Friday at 10 am. Then Friday came and went. NOTHING all day. NOT COOL DUDE. On top of that I have had another contractor on hold. I've also seen on Nextdoor.com where other people have shared similar experiences. During a visit to review an issue with our furnace last fall, the technician from Chase found a…read morecritical failure in the ignition area and thereby saved us from Carbon Monoxide being pulled into the home. We were told the furnace needed replacement. As part of the discussion about new equipment, we complained about our terrible A/C system. After making various calculations, they came to the conclusion, the reason we don't keep up in the summer time during high temps was due to our system being too small, so we decided it was time to replace the gas furnace and A/C all at the same time with a high capacity Trane system that Chase recommended. We not only believe the new system is much more efficient, but just this week (7/3-4/2026) during 100+ temps and 111 heat index, we are having NO issues maintaining low 70's temps inside. This change has been worth every penny and we are seeing utility savings on year over year, monthly bills paying us back month by month.
